Since re-opening the landlord and Landlady gave made a real success of the Ship, the atmosphere is friendly the beer is good and the food is of a high standard and reasonably priced. The pub is lively enough without being to lively and tge events put on are varied, from bingo to karaoke and live music.

Recently refurbished a real locals pub. It's old history was well deserved from personal experience but now cosy, well run, good well kept beer.

Yet to try the food, but service and atmosphere has always been decent

I can not recommend this place enough. I struggle eating out due to a dairy allergy but nothing was to much here. I was shown what on the menu I could have as all allergens were made available for me to check. Staff were brilliant and understanding being patient while I decided what to have as I actually had a choice. Food was fresh and as described. The atmosphere is great and ended up staying alot longer as they had entertainment on which brought a brilliant atmosphere in the pub. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be going back as finally I have a nice place to go out for food. Thank you so much.

On quite a few nights it's not a good place to go if you want to have a conversation due to the karaoke and similar activities that monopolize the space.

Certainly a refurbished pub though not at a very attractive place. Well priced beer and I was greeted on a Saturday with some nice music.

Pub landlord and lady and staff are great. Great atmosphere and fantastic refurbished, drinks are well priced too. Additional pool table, darts and karaoke.

Reasonable place for a pit stop if you are in in the area.

Scary looking place for the locals. Big amount of space that made me anxious. Menu doesn't have any vegan options and only vegetarian option were fries. I have seen kid there with her grandmother (I guess) doing homework. I would brink my kids near but I haven't seen any other places around. So pub for kids and their family, here we go.

Oh dear... In need of an update and, frankly, a decent clean. Staff seemed nice and the beer's ok but it does not have a comfy feel to it.

No I will not share my experience of this place..Because in my opinion it is priceless and unique so there is not a bar on the planet like this.

Went here for sunday lunch .looked lovely from a distance .but very old and needs updating when you get to the pub .now the food i ordered the steak it was so tuff took it home and cut up with scissors and mushroom where awful not fresh out of a tin .husband ordered the roast the pudding was good .meat again tuff and if that was a large roast i would hate to see a small roast no stuffing no extra just a tiny dish of red cabbage .peas .sweetcorn .woudnt go back im afraid ..ive eaten better food out of a cafe .and i could even cook better my self .staff friendly enough but they just want to chat .not really bothered about the customer ..unless they know them ...

The Ship public house is my local and I love it so this review may be a little bit biased. That being said, I have been using this pub for the last 20 years and have seen its highs and its lows. There is bingo twice a week, entertainment on Saturdays plus excellent food including breakfast and Sunday lunches. The landlady is very friendly and the regulars are very welcoming. A great place for students and retired alike whether it be too watch sports, play pool or just have a bit of banter, you can't go wrong with the ship.

Not a present pub left after 1 drink was felt not welcome by locals

Bingo night.They all seemed to enjoy it.I had a quick drink and left.Place is empty of atmosphere. Lack of any theme.

It seems ok only been in the day time.

I well never miss my bingo night every Tuesday. I love it they are like big family . and all the time you feel wellcome not only from the stuff . from every one. I get £150 in bingo in 9ne night recommended

Landlord and landlady very friendly and have turned the pub into a nice friendly place suitable for all ages.

What can I say? Once again a superb breakfast. Best in Cambridge. Was great listening to people rave about the new rock and roll bingo and karaoke on a Sunday afternoon. 3- 7pm
