Great Pub with a good choice of Ale

Great selection of beers and very efficient and friendly staff.

Good selection of beers from kegs to cask. Even better choice of Belgium beers with brewery specific glass, which I thought was a nice touch. The woman serving was very pleasant and helpful with all my questions about the bottled beers.

A lovely place to drink Belgian beer at a reasonable price. I recommend sitting outside the front if weather permits. Nice atmosphere and friendly locals. The only real criticism is that the food available is very limited.

Lovely pub which was very welcoming and offered a good selection of well-kept real ale. As ever google insists on asking about food and as usual we were there for the beer, so please ignore my 3 star rating.

Proper pub with fine selection of real ales and Belgian beers

The staff are friendly and welcoming and the beers are excellent, but the seating is rudimentary, industrial and very uncomfortable, on our visit my friends and I had one drink and left because it was just not possible to relax sitting on hard stools. My advice would be to invest into some comfortable seatng.

Lovely pub and bar staff and a nice pint too

Bit of everything, pub / bar / serves food yet nightclub too. Fine to go out, but not got its own identity so felt a bit weird.

We have just had lunch of crusty cobs sandwiches with salad, chips and roast potatoes, to die for, superb value for money. Fab staff and service. We will be back soon, thank you.

The few times I've frequented The Sheriff's public house it's been a great experience. Bar Staff are fun, exuberant attentive giving off a vibe of a home. with the comfortable feeling of a warm country pub, they've melded it with contemporary styling. The Bar itself is very well constructed, solid a deep, giving plenty of room to stand, and sit without being on top of the taps or the people serving. Very clean and tidy Male toilets, which means the women's must be palatial. A minor gripe is the hand dryer is at an awkward height, plenty of seating inside the space is well utilised and a tidy section outside for smokers with seating also. There's many eclectic craft, Belgium beers, real cask ales and guest beers; ciders too, all great quality, very choice. And of course a selection of wines and spirits. My personal favourites are the Mason cider, corona on draft if that's your bag, reminiscent of my days doing the beer festivals. I particularly like the ciders and love the tumbler pint glasses I think they are extremely stylish, and i keep trying to get one I shall have to catch the owner one day lol. I didn't see any access for wheelchairs as there's a stepped entrance, though I expect the owner is looking into that, these old buildings can be difficult to adapt to, and those of us with disabilities hate having special treatment. Unless of course, there's the access I didn't see in which case my Apologies to The sheriff. Do not pass up this great place for a drink or 3!! Enjoy The sheriff.

Symptomatic of pubs trying too hard to be cool and sofisticated, completely impractical seating fashioned from reproduction tractor seats, music playing only for the benefit of the bored bar staff.

Old building modern style. Certainly worth a visit. Exceptional toilets. And Asbach German brandy!!!!

It’s been done out very well and beer selection was great, but it just lacked back ground music felt like people were listening to us.

Good real ales, great staff and service.

If you like strong Belgian beer, you must check this place out. That is all! What good selection they have and friendly staff too. Worth a visit.
