Iv been coming to this place for yrs, not been for a few months though because I moved to leyland. Still won't go anywhere else..! Ur the best ...plus nobody else dus a cauliflower bhaji like you it's ace. Top quality food. Different dishes actually taste different unlike some other places.. thanks guys.. Was working out of Chorley and decided to pop in here. One of the nicest Indian takeaways I've ever had. Food was perfect and the service was brilliant. Thank you.

Came here to pick up an order for collection yesterday evening. First time trying The Shathi, we phoned ahead to place our order. I arrived after the stated time and did have to wait a little bit longer after paying on arrival but not too long. Having said that I would probably recommend ordering ahead for collection rather than turning up and ordering. Had a korma, tikka masala, rices, keema paratha and a garlic naan. Food was really good, no complaints there at all. Staff were friendly. Definitely a good place to try if you like Indian food.

Been here twice over the past 2 months. Special Mix Biriyani is good, tastes fresh. Keema Naan is also good. Tried some other biriyanis in the area and this one's my favourite I think. The staff aren't the friendliest but I don't go to socialise 😅

Very poor standard of food. Chicken was very hard in the tikka masala, the chicken korma was bland and the naan bread undercooked and dripping in oil. Needless to say we won't be back.

Ordered a korma, not sure what is in their recipe but I’ve never tasted anything as bad as that 🤢 Absolutely awful! Avoid!

We placed our order and were told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I turned up and had to wait another 20 minutes to receive my order. I received no apology for this. I ordered 2 garlic nann breads. When I got home I found that I had 2 nann breads - neither of which were garlic - which I had been charged and paid for. The chicken tikka dish I ordered had little chicken in which was dry and didnt taste fresh. My partner's dish had little chicken in also and also didnt taste fresh either. The seasoning was the worst that we have ever had from an Indian takeaway. The vast majority of the food ended up in the bin. I will never be ordering food from here again.

I am also amazed this place has any positive reviews. The Suryah sauce was the consistency of water with only 5 small pieces of chicken; all the dishes had a watery sauce. The cucumber raitha was horrible; limp cucumber with water covered by a thick yoghurt that caused the dish to separate - it was so bad we binned it after the first taste. I can honestly say, save your money and buy a Morrisons curry - way cheaper and so much better.

I am stunned that this place has any good reviews. The inside of the takeaway is dirty, the cooks don’t wash their hands, or the pans in between preparing dishes (pans just thrown onto a shelf above the cooker and re-used) and the food? It looked horribly greasy. I can’t believe I didn’t walk out when I saw it being prepared. Mine went into the bin, after only smelling it. Dreadful.

Ordered a takeaway last night, medium pathia, jalfrezi and a korai....all dishes were plentiful and tasty. Probably the best pathia I've had. Would have liked more rice options, like peschwari but couldn't fault the meal. We will definitely be returning

Great food pity they don't deliver

Last minute decision to get a takeaway, most were closed but Shati obviously doing clean up before closing time, very affable staff and said no problem...10 minute wait. So glad we did, it was the best Jalfrezi I've ever had and I'm now 70. We tend to stick with ones we know but this was a very authentic taste, with just the right balance of rich tomato taste, hot but a pleasant heat, not overpowering the overall flavours. This is the reason we all buy takeaways, isn't it? (Apart from laziness of course) We choose any particular takeaway based on a flavorsome pleasing meal, some aren't! This place is worth a drive out to Eaves lane just for the taste -Superb! I urge you to try it. We have no affiliations to this business,Just appreciate the subtle taste. Tom Ashworth. .

Absolutely the best curry take away we’ve eaten. We have had takeaways from here on a number of occasions and we have tried most places in and around Chorley, and although most are very good in our opinion The Shathi is by far the best. Absolutely faultless. Ordered for collection at 5.45 it was ready on collection. Piping hot and SO tasty. Doubt we will ever go anywhere else.

This little Indian Takeaway is, without doubt, one of the best providers of authentic, tasty and gorgeous Indian food you could ever wish to taste. It is just brilliant.

Fantastic food and staff - sometimes I wish they delivered but they are so busy they probably don’t need to! I have been going for 20 years and the food is always consistent. My favourite is the chicken/lamb samber Highly recommend .

I have tried lots of Indian takeaways and never found one as fine as this. I'm really particular about good ingredients and about them being properly cooked. The Shathi in Chorley has never failed me. You may wait a little longer for your order but that's because it's freshly cooked. I've fallen out with countless take aways, restaurants and supermarkets because when I pay for food, be it a Saturday night or a midweek afternoon, I expect my food to be good, no exceptions and no excuses. Shathi never lets me down. Delicious, fresh food. Lots of flavour and never short of meat, veg or prawns.

Been ordering for years and years. Always good. My favourite is chicken tikka bhuna as its really tasty. Portions are fine. I would love a delivery service but a trade off may be that the food may not arrive as fresh as if collected.

Always had a good meal from here and plenty to go round us all. The only thing that lets them down is no delivery service. Maybe something for the future?

Never had a such a bad INDIAN MEAL, There were items missing, food was cold 4 OUT OF 9 HAD real bad food POISIONING took me 3 DAYS To get over it!. Best find a bit of food in a bin, wipe around a toilet bowl THEN EAT IT! should have less affect than their food & be a lot saver. AVOID like Plague

Very poor customer skills and very slow. Quote unrealistic times and they can't keep to them. Curry was nice but only warmish which isn't good. Keema didn't have much meat it and the meals were stingy on the chicken. Probably wouldn't go back.

My first visit in a couple of years - I used to live locally and had a takeaway every week for years. Good to see the same head cook as always, and to be recognised. Standard curry-house fare, but freshly cooked in view of the customer with good ingredients. Inexpensive good food with a loyal regular local clientele. Recommended.

We go to The Shathi Indian restaurant all the time at least twice a moth! I recommend this takeaway and have never had ant problems ever- the food has always bee beautiful and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful. We have tried many of the local Chorley Takeaways and say that Shathi is one of our most favourite- so for anyone wanting a night off cooking but eat at home this is the place to!

Nice staff wonderful food every time

We ordered a takeaway from the Shathi on Saturday evening and I can honestly say that I have never had a worse meal, let alone Indian. For starters, we ordered 3 popadoms and we only got 2. The 2 which we got were soft and tasted stale. The onions in the 'dip' were soft and the yoghurt dip was very watered down, to the point where there wasn't much taste. My daughter ordered a mixed biryani and it contained only 2 small pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of beef and 4 prawns. My prawn dupiaza had about 8 prawns and my husbands chicken tikka masala had maybe 4 chicken pieces. All the food was incredibly salty and myself and my daughter still have upset tummys and a terrible headache since we ate this 2 days ago. My daughter also has an ulcer on her lip from too much salt. Phone consultation from the doctor today indicated that our headaches and high temperature were a result of too much salt - aka salt poisoning - and advised us to drink as much water as possible. Terrible! Would not recommend.

We decided that we would be lazy and get a take away, I rang the order through, I was told 25/30 minutes and it would be ready. When I went the order was ready, the staff were effecient and the food was excellent.

Having had takeaways from here for over 15+ years I can honestly says the food has always been spot on. Service from the lads who remember your name and how you like your order is exceptional. By far the best in Chorley.............maybe the North West.

I have been going there for many years. There has been a continuity of staff. Service is excellent, and the food has also been excellent.

Lamb tikka was overcooked to the point you couldn't chew it. My partners Chicken was sub standard and she ended up cooking her own chicken breast out of the fridge to go with the sauce. When I called to inform them of their sub standard food they were not that concerned. I won't be returning.

We have had meals from the Shati many times and have always had very good service and food, when you phone to order food they are very polite and knowledgeable in any aspect of the meals you order, and when they tell you what time your meals will be ready they are generally within ten minutes of the specified time.

Have used the Shati since we moved to Chorley 22 yrs ago. However for some reason not used it for the last 5 yrs or so. Glad we did tonight. Perfect Indian takeaway food. Nicely spiced. Not greasy. All our meals spot on. Will use regularly again.

This is a great little Indian Takeaway and one of the best around Chorley. Dishes are cooked fresh right in from of you. Hoppers for starters are always a favourite. Mixed grill was good as was Tandoori Chicken. Wide range of dishes and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Since reading a review on another review site mentioning a Chicken Japroni I decided to give it a try.I have eaten in some really excellent indian restaurants, and this easily as good if not better food.I have now been getting that one dish for over 6 months (8 or 9 purchases) and never yet been able to fault it.Thought it was about time I left them a review as they really do deserve the 5 stars.Will leave another review when I get bored of the Japroni, but that may be some time as it is just soooo damn good!

this is my favourite takeaway in Chorley,I have tried many things off the menu and always enjoyed it,but I always go back to chicken manchor which is delicious.the staff are always pleasant and friendly and its nice to watch your food being made in the open clean kitchen.I would highly recommend shatikeep up the good work Andrew & Lisa

simply excellent authentic freshly prepared Indian food,varied menu, very helpful if you're a beginner of fancy a change! friendly, super value for money, never had ANY cause for concern with these guys, they sure know how to present wholesome food with genuine care for customers.

By far, Can't beat the Prawn Puri and Lamb Balti. I have been using the Shathi for years and never had a bad meal.
