The Shamrock in Cheltenham

Lovely friendly pub visited many times recently, plenty to do. Sit by the fire orat the bar to a game of pool to darts. Family run with an Irish feel especially the music in keeping with an Irish pub a lovely happy place x

Travelled from London to this venue as I was booked to perform only to be met with hostility from the drug intoxicated staff at the reception making me feel totally unwelcome. Until something is done about this arrangement this venue is to be avoided at all cost.

Whilst the venue may seem a little off putting from its vintage exterior, once indoors or in the pub garden section it is a thoroughly enjoyable & charming genuine Irish pub! The staff are friendly, and the regulars have plenty of good banter and there is a good healthy dose of entertainment in the form of a pool table (some of the staff are like pros), darts board and the jukebox has some of the widest music selections (including Drum n Bass) that I've ever seen! Finally the Guinness is always fresh and in great weather the garden is the place to be :)

Liked the service and the pool table that was available was nice but people didn't like the fact that I was there.

A good pint, But you would need a gas mask if you want to use the toilet!

Stayed overnight as I had a stag party, (coach driver) Stoke-on-Trent. Extremely popular busy and friendly, Highly recommended. Kind Regards Derek.
