Went in to see if I could use the toilets. Upon entering had two dogs run at me snarling, assumed they were just visiting dogs with the man sitting having his dinner at one of the tables. Looked around and no one was behind the bar so looked for the toilets. The man in there got up and was very rude to me for not asking him if I could use his toilets. I had no idea he was the owner after he didn't even.look at me when I entered or try to speak to me for the first minute I was in there. Very rude, and unnecessary so. Didn't feel welcoming at all. It was a horrible experience

I only called in for directions and one of the vicious looking pub dogs bit me! They are snarling beasts and the barman had no control over them. Seriously dangerous.

Decent local boozer, friendly and often filled with local workers on a Friday evening. Serves the usual mainstream drinks, including (unsurprisingly Guinness)

Popped in with friends on our recent weekend in Manchester to watch the Euros, pub atmosphere was decent but the prices of drinks was shocking, different prices everytime you went to the bar depending on who was serving you and each time over £14 for 2 double vodkas and it was coke out of a 2 litre bottle. Also dogs walking around the pub which I don't mind as been in a few dog friendly pubs but the owner of the pub snapped at me for greeting one of the dogs!

We stumbled across this Pub while in Manchester for the weekend break - We were out in the Northern Quarter and came across the Shamrock - it's a small pub down Bengal Street in an area going through much regeneration - When we went in we got a great welcome from the bar tender and our drinks were served quickly - the place was very clean and warm - we also watched a football match as they have large TV Screens - As we were there for a while we also had a meal of a Mixed grill and Bacon and Cabbage - the mixed grill was lovely, a very large portion and served with a hot pot of tea, suggest you have a big appetite for this one - we really enjoyed the meal and I would recommend this establishment.

A great pint of Guinness ! Was a difficult find in Manchester but they know how to make a good pour ! 2024 update: Visited again this weekend, still not changed, personally I think it’s the best Guinness in Manchester.
