What a treat it was to visit this wonderful little stall. Lydia, the lady who served us was lovely and friendly and took the time to explain how the gelatos are made. I tried a few and they were delicious. The banana is so flavoursome but my favourite has to be the raspberry. As we had already eaten we didn’t get to try the artisan breads an coffees, but there will be a next time! Well worth a visit. 😊

Excellent food from Germany and wonderful friendly service. Definitely well worth a visit. The freshly baked bread and pretzels are fabulous and although I haven't yet tried it the Italian ice cream looks yummy. They also sell fresh coffee and freshly made sandwiches. The lady who owns the business, Veronica is extremely friendly and bakes very early every morning. The business is in a beautifully decorated horse trailer with some seating outside. A big asset to the Trentham Estate and a shame that she might not be here on a permanent basis. I hope she has an awful lot of visitors in the near future and decides to try and stay here longer

So it was my son’s graduation at trentham gardens. We went for a walk around the shops. Found the secret granary and I have been a real fan of this place since. The gelato is like nothing else I have ever tried. It’s amazing. The flavours are natural and the quality shines through. We also had milkshakes that are made with fresh fruit and gelato and iced coffee again made with the gelato. All were delicious. Then we tried the bread. It’s so flavoursome and the crust is just gorgeous. It’s the best bread I have ever eaten.

This place is SPECIAL! I have eaten in hundreds of places and loads of Italians… even in Italy… so I like to think I know what is authentic and really good food and drink. Robertos is worth travelling from london for, just for a meal! Not even joking. Superior place. Homecooked, first class cuisine and fabulous service from staff who really care. Great prices and a beautiful vibe and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back and visit!

We've been to this restaurant a few times over the years but it was horrendous tonight. We've had a few minor issues before but never this bad. No sugar free drink options for my sister, undercooked food and one plate arrived with a hair in it. When we asked to speak to the owner she was rude and denied that food had even been sent back accusing all 13 of us of lying. We explained we weren't expecting money off or a refund we just wanted to highlight the issues and she still insisted we were lying. Don't bother going. Ruined our one family Christmas meal out.

The restaurant was cold, the fire was ineffective and on one of the coldest days of the year the radiators were off and very cold to the touch indicating they had not been on at all during the day . We moved our table closer to the fire but I had to keep my coat on as I ate. I have never had to do that in a restaurant. Despite us being the only customers there, we were placed in the large main dining room, not the snug, which had its own log burner and would have been warmer. The waiter became defensive when we complained despite our comments being about the restaurant, not about him. He admitted he was also cold and as an explanation offered up that it was ‘particularly cold today’. Surely a reason to have the heating on not off. He also bizarrely stated that the place was warmer when there were ‘more people in’ .When we were the only two people there the comment seemed a bit irrelevant. Sadly the restaurant looked run down with peeling paint and damp. None of this would have particularly mattered if the place had been warm. I wondered why they bothered opening on a Thursday lunchtime if we were the only customers. If they can’t afford day time heating then it’s probably time for a rethink. The prices on the menu were lower than what we were charged. They mixed up the fixed menu prices with the a la Carte prices. Even when I raised the issue and said we should be paying for 2 Fixed menu prices of £24, they charged us £49.90. We had the set menu and I was asked what sauce I wanted with my steak. I was amazed to be charged extra for it on the bill as I assumed it was included in the set dish. I was not told it was an extra which I find misleading. We ordered a glass of wine, the waiter didn’t ask whether we wanted large or small so I assumed it was a standard glass so it was annoying to find we had been charged for a large glass when we hadn’t asked for it. I would normally expect the serving staff to ask large or small if there is actually a choice not just to make that choice for the diner. The more cynical may wonder if this is a ploy to make more money out of customers? Watch out for this as the waiter did not make it clear that we were purchasing extras with the food or that the practice appears to be to automatically supply large glasses of wine if you don’t specify otherwise. In summary the food was ok but I couldn’t recommend this place unless you were booking in the middle of a heat wave.

Brilliant evening with friends and Derek was an absolute star! We were seated immediately on our arrival and our drinks order was taken quickly and arrived quickly. The food came at a suitable speed and everything we had was excellent. However the best part of the evening was Derek who looked after us brilliantly. So we will definitely go back! Thank you Derek.
