The Savoury Cafe in Darlington

Great value. Had the budget breakfast, arrived quickly and was hot. Didn't have the egg but unlike so many places I was offered something in its place. Nice strong cup of tea. Maybe make it known you have to order at the counter and service with a smile does help. Slightly picky negatives but I would recommend to people wanting value for money and good wholesome cafe food.

Served by someone that looked like she was chewing a wasp. Not very welcoming. Chips were nice but the ‘savoury’ was bland and inside a bun it was just a big pile of mush with zero texture.

Plenty of staff doing nothing.ordered two poached eggs..see photo! Fruit scone was like Rock. Tea terrible. rijo coffee From machine was fab.shame about everything else. Kitchen staff stood biting nails and touching face without washing hands was off putting!

Lovely food, speedy service and friendly staff

we had savoury sandwich and tea an coffee it was lovely the ladies who work there are so nice they can teach some young checkout staff in some supermarkets how to serve people with so much respect a pleasure to eat in this little cafe thank you ladies 💯

The staff are efficient and friendly. Good choice on the menu. Prices are very competitive. Service is excellent with, usually, very little wait for your order. Definitely worth a look, and would recommend.

Food was top notch only little gripe clearing table whilst some if our group were still eating however very polite staff

Food is precooked and warmed up . Order a breakfast it was just Luke warm. Wouldn't recommend

Can't fault it. Take a high quality greasy spoon and add class. VFM. JUST got to visit. You won't be disappointed

This place is clean used to do lovely shepred pie but there using cheap mince and doesn't taste the same horrible for the price

This is probably a very popular cafe I've been twice now and both times the cups have been dirty ,the waitress bring your cuppa with her hand over top like u would at home and her thumbs in the dinner I think some of the staff need a bit more training I know its busy most times I'm just maybe a bit more picky I worked in a cafe and if we did this we were told off

Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Food was good and didn't take long to be served after ordering. Cafe was nice and clean and great value for money.

What a great cafe in Darlington. Serving their very famous "Darlington Savoury Bun" with its secret ingredient! The staff are all so lovely and friendly, especially Abigail who served us today. A real pleasure to eat here! 💯 Thank you!

Savory in Darlington Town center inside market has been there as long as I can remember it's changed hands once that I can remember but there is no miskaking the savory bun the taste is so good you always want more sometimes I bay a tray of it to take home mmm lush

Stayed overnight. Found it welcoming, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thoroughly recommended.

I love this cafe staff very friendly n food is nice with great prices could b a bit bigger n needs a refurb but that doesn't put me off n u shouldn't let it put u off
