We go here every week as it's by far the best coffee shop in town. This was a special family occasion for 6 people so we booked a table for mid morning breakfast and milkshakes. Great service and food in a lovely environment.

Visited here today Tuesday 27th September and met up an old work colleague. Very nice modern interior and nice furnishings. Great menu and good prices. Was only here for a drink and some toast, Liked the table service and the drinks and toast was also very nice. Great customer service. Last time i was in Stapleford on foot, this was an Italian restaurant. Shall be back here with the wife soon

We've missed the Sanctuary so much that it was the first place we visited after the coronavirus lockdown was eased. Always good friendly service, lovely coffee and cakes/snacks. The only adaptations are that you need to give contact details and bring your masks. The tables were already 2m apart and it is spacious and has a separate exit. Always recommended.

Stepped into this coffee shop for the first time in December since it opened. Totally impressed and have been an additional two times. Breakfast and brunch were superb, and staff were really nice and welcoming. Can't ask for a nicer atmosphere to enjoy a cup of coffee, and they served the best latte I've ever had!

We've been to the Sanctuary many times and it's still the best cafe in town. It's always open and there are always available seats. Drinks are perfect and there's a great range of cakes/snacks/breakfasts to choose from. The room is modern and comfortable and the staff are friendly.

The Sanctuary is our favourite coffee shop but this was our first time for breakfast. The scrambled eggs on toast was so big I didn't want lunch later. Perfect coffee, good food and always a treat. The staff are also welcoming and friendly.

Never been before as if I’m honest it looked really expensive from the outside. Myself and my wife visited 7/10/19 and I’ve absolutely nothing but praise for every aspect of this lovely place. This is so much nicer the the pub down the road, definitely will be returning.

The sanctuary is a lovely place to have a catch up with a friend. My only negative comment would be the menu hasn’t changed since it’s been open ( a few years now ) I follow a vegan diet and there is nothing on the menu that I could eat apart from beans on toast. Every time I’ve enquired about the cakes they don’t seem to have a clue what is in the ingredients so I never bother. All I have is a cup of tea when I visit and it would be nice to have a few more choices

This is our favourite coffee shop in the area. Lovely cakes, snacks and meals and great coffee/drinks. The room has a lovely atmosphere, with modern decor and it's easy to get a table. Good service - fast and friendly. There is a convenient public car park adjacent. Much better than the boring chain-cafes.

Went for the first time to the Sanctuary for coffee with a friend. What a surprise, a varied breakfast and lunch menu. Will definitely go for something to eat next time. The only down side was, that tables were not cleared very quickly. Twice a waitress bought out food and walked past tables that wanted clearing.

Visited and had to wait 20 minutes just for some toast when it arrived it was smothered in half a pound of butter (I actually thought it was cheese on toast!) it was impossible to scrape off and therefore impossible to eat. Surely it is the customers choice as to how much butter they put on the toast? Staff weren’t friendly or helpful and didn’t apologise for the delay. Certainly wouldn’t go back.

Nice little coffee shop with great coffee. Have been here a few times for coffee and on the odd occasion for food and I've never had any complaints. Good quick service from friendly staff. A couple of car parks (one next door, one over the road) and a bus route right outside make the location in the centre of Stapleford town and ideal location. We would visit here again but the lack of atmosphere doesn't make or top 10 coffee shops to visit.

Whilst visiting Wollaton Hall, we decided to try out the Sanctuary Coffee House for breakfast for a group of 9. We reserved a table, all had the full English breakfast with lattes/milkshakes and I can't find a single fault with the breakfasts - the food was exceptional, great value, the lattes were delicious and warm, and the milkshakes were great, especially the unicorn!

This coffee house sets a good impression as soon as you walk in. It is warm and welcoming and the decor is very attractive. I took my Dad in for lunch and it was even busy on a cold and wet Wednesday in Febraury. The sandwiches we had were lovely and we both got an individual pots of tea. (Impressed with the size of teapot as often they are tiny). The service was prompt and friendly. I can't fault the place and will return when next in the area.

The food and cakes are all very good but I really do have to point out that the flat white coffee is just not up to scratch. Watch some YouTube videos and practice. Please. The Sanctuary is very well decorated with modern clean decor and well set out, background music is so relaxing. Menu is quite small which I love but with plenty of choice. Good cup of coffee and loved the way the bacon butty bread was slightly toasted but it could have done with a tad more bacon filling. Service was quick and friendly, well worth a visit.

First visited under duress 11th May 2017 for my best friend's Birthday! I'd been to the venue time and time again when it was a reasonably posh-ish restaurant but had never visited in the months since it had transformed into a cafe so didn't really have high hopes! However I've been at least three more times in the 3 weeks between then and today (29th May 2017) and it has fast become my place of choice! I've been with a number of different people and everyone I've taken has also been extremely impressed! Even from the first visit I was made to feel really welcome and the ladies who work there really can't do enough for you. Being a lover of cold coffee they bent over backwards to try different ways to make it for me! However I seem to have now settled on the unicorn frappuccino which really is very nice and is like a dessert in a glass!! They have a number of different quality ice creams and these are also used to make the unicorn milkshakes which are great for kids - young and old!! The menu is actually quite extensive with toasties, jacket potatoes, paninis, quiches, hot meals such as fish and chips and pie and chips, soup and daily specials. N.B. the chips are to die for!! A very tastefully decorated restaurant complete with a very blingy and sparkly chandelier! Small public pay and display car park right next to it. ACCESSIBILITY: the restaurant is flat and even with a disabled toilet on the same level (general toilets up a flight of stairs) and as it's alongside a public car park it's ideal for wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Also worth noting you can use your disabled "blue badge" in this car park and get free parking which means you can afford an extra piece of cake!! Take a trip, you shouldn't be disappointed

We used to visit this establishment when it was a restaurant and were sorry to learn that it had changed to a cafe. However, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it still has a lunch menu and the fish and chips we had were superb. Also, their home-made soups are a treat and overall we were most taken with the service, although at busy times one has to be patient!

Upon entry we got a weak, insincere greeting from staff, they rushed us to take our order despite no one else waiting, ran out of only veggie panini filling first thing on a monday morning (ran out or just didnt take of board...hmm?) and had a poor selection of cheap tea bags. However they did offer diary free milk which was nice. Lady who served my tea (I chose not to eat) was uninterested and not very positive. Shame because everyone speaks highly of this place, but I shall not return.

Stapleford has gone upmarket with this lovely cafe/bar near the Roach. The Sanctuary looks good inside and out. The staff were really nice. Local people have always known this as a restaurant but recently it has revamped itself as a cafe. The decor is tasteful and relaxing, the chairs comfortable and the service excellent.
