I liked the pub, but the barman is clearly in the wrong trade, not a people person at all.. which sadly dampened the atmosphere.

Over heard the manager saying children were pissing him off and couldn't wait for 9pm to kick them out, often very rude to paying customers. Not a very welcoming place. Wouldn't rush to visit

This is a lovely local pub, nice little area outside to the rear and a good selection of ale from Castle Rock.

Went along to Cricketers Rest to see Muckys celebrating their 2nd Birthday. Lovely local pub with a beer garden at the back. Had some lovely burgers Homeboy BACON DOUBLE CHEESE It was all delicious as usual and would highly recommend a visit to their shop.

Another great Caste Rock! Good beer at fair prices and friendly staff. The seating arrangement is nice and the atmosphere friendly. The main issue I found was parking! However, in light of the pleasant pub experience itself this was soon an afterthought.

Always smells a bit chemically and the service isn't always that friendly. Serves good beer though and a good range of spirits.

Today was my first visit for a long time. On arrival , I received a greeting from the barman … with a good selection of local ales, I ordered a Preservation from Castle Rock Brewery. It was in excellent condition and perfectly presented. The pub had a feel of a good local … although quiet, there was conversation between a number of regulars and I didn’t feel uncomfortable as a visitor. It was good to see a clean pub, especially the toilets! It’s a local pub that I will now try to visit more often.

Proper pub and a nice traditional interior. Needless to say the real ales are excellent as it's owned by the Castle Rock independent brewery. Had a pint of Harvest Pale which was spot on. Has a small yard to the back with outdoor seating.

One of the best in Kimberley that you’ll find. The friendliest people that have made me feel so welcome to the area. I can’t recommend it enough. Perfect beer garden for the sunny days we’ve been getting!

Friendly pub with good selection of drinks. The staff were always compliant with Covid rules making us feel safe, and nothing has changed! Transition to relaxation of the regulations conducted very well and they were very respectful to those of us who wish to continue taking precautions against Covid eg mask wearing. Cannot recommend them enough!

Excellent service in very difficult times what with Covid and social distancing. Spent yesterday afternoon there with my son. First proper pint in months. Made to feel very welcome, safety was very well controlled and managed by the staff, felt safe and no worries. At table service, in at the front door, out at the back. Yes it was quiet but with the floors marked out even at a busy weekend I am sure 1-2 mtrs can be maintained. Great all round and thanks.

This place will Always struggle irrespective who manages it, place is nearly always empty, times have changed in Kimberley, people are poorer than a decade ago and it's getting worse, nothing the management can do, too few customers, disposable incomes low so folks can't afford to come, just a few regulars + tourists like me. On the plus side quality beers like Castle Rock Elsie Mo, on the minus side dated/naff rock music spoilt a otherwise pleasant Half an hour.

They've transformed this pub with the recent refurb into a great local pub. There's a fantastic selection of drinks available ( particularly the Beavertown brewery drinks) and somewhere you can really enjoy your evening. Friendly staff, great beer, sport on the box - what more can you ask for.

Absolutely fantastic pub with lovely staff.

Lovely pub set back from the main road, and tastefully refurbished by Castle Rock. A must for any cricket lovers, especially Notts with lots of interesting pictures of past and present players and Trent Bridge. Kimberley Cricket Club is also a short stroll along Newdigate Street.

Popped in here the other day after a trip to ikea and enjoyed one of the finest pints of Castle rock's Elsie mo that I have tasted in a long time. All credit, I'm sure, to the land lord Ollie and his team there and I look forward to visiting again very soon. Possibly on my horse that turns into a plane.

Another pub saved popped in on way home one evening to see what all the talk was about this pub has had a new lease of life now a cask ale pub I'm not a drinker put for cask lovers this is the place to visit

Average, Seems to be the way with castle rock nowadays. There's 2 amazing micropubs and the stag. So if your pub crawling you my go here but the other pubs make the day.

This pub is now owned by Castle Rock Brewery at last some competition against the Green King pubs in Kimberley
