Asked them to put some more logs on the fire as it was freezing and they were still pisssing around making drinks 40 mins later

We had a meal there. It took 40 minutes from ordering for the food to arrive. It was warm. The food made my mother be sick. I told the staff about what happened and they didn't seem to care. I complained to Wetherspoons to have just fobbed me off. We won't be going there again.

Great staff and always made to feel welcome. The only problem we have is that several times the breakfast has not been hot! Warm maybe but not hot. Whether the breakfast sits on the servery am not sure. Staff are very industrious but today they had no brown sauce which I love on my breakfast, The member of staff searched for some to no avail. Maybe I am nitpicking but all in all we love the atmosphere , and am sure this is a minor blip.

Cold breakfast! My husband and I came for breakfast and mine was cold , particularly the egg and there wasn't a whole rasher of bacon!

We were there for drinks & 1 of the staff who work there were getting no help at all, asked where the management was & they said their pub manager is always in the office with the duty manager all the time, always spending time together, place needs to have their management changed immediately.

Lovely, airy space with plenty of room between tables which were cleared quickly after customers left. Food was good and fantastic value for money, as usual in Spoons pubs. Staff were obviously working hard and, even though the place was busy, our food arrived within a reasonable time.

We ordered our food and drinks through the app. The fish and chips was lukewarm. The soup was stone cold. The coleslaw was a no show. The staff were lovely, but looked rushed off their feet. Tables were not cleared for a long time. All in all, this place feels neglected.

Had a lovely meal then ordered a pudding to which I discovered was full of cinnamon not stated on menu Complained to manager who was disappointing saying it was my fault nothing could be done

The service here is always slow. After around 20 minutes, our drinks arrived at the same time as our food. The cutlery was dirty but quickly replaced. My ‘BBQ chicken melt’ had no BBQ sauce - so it was just a chicken melt. Took me 5 minutes to realise what was wrong and no staff around, certainly no one checking everything was ok. So I grabbed the BBQ sauce bottle and added it myself but it did make my dinner cold. No one around to mention it to, no one to clear our table before I left…so thought I’d mention it on here instead! Luckily the other Wetherspoons in Corby is much better and the food service there is pretty good so I recommend going there instead. The other problem with this establishment is the amount of people smoking in the no smoking area and the smoke blowing in through the doors.

We order are food on the app pub not overly busy had to ask for the table to be clean the 15 minutes later we got fed up waiting for are drinks which we notice sitting on the bar so we fetched them our self's. The meals came out freezing cold chips looked like they had been cooked for over an hour I personally left most of mine .I now this is a cheap and cheerful restaurant but need to get their act together no call back to see if we had any problems I for one will never eat here again

The interior of the place is rather average and could benefit from better cleanliness. The tables were sticky and there was rubbish scattered around them, which was a bit off-putting. However, I must commend the food quality as it was truly impressive. There were plenty of options to choose from. Additionally, the service was quick and the staff was friendly, which added to the overall positive experience. One notable advantage is that the kitchen stays open until late, allowing for late-night cravings to be satisfied.

Firstly let me say that any reviews they don’t agree with are deleted. That demonstrates the attitude. I was actually barred 3 weeks ago for complaining to a so called manager that the wait times are ridiculous, even though quiet. It’s very dirty. Table covered in used glasses and plates. Staff attitude is poor at best. Toilets absolutely filthy. Coffee machine never works. More food is sent back to the kitchen than eaten. Overall a terrible place. Worst spoons in the country. You should be ashamed of this so called establishment Wetherspoons.

Well, it would be rude not to! 'Spoons right next to the hotel, got to be done, A couple of pints of Ruddles IPA and a large Single malt, plus a portion of chicken tenders, which were delicious I must say.

First breakfast was cold followed by a mix up on the order. Service was lacking. When it came back out parts were still cold despite insisting aggressively that it was microwaved to be hot at me. The scrambled eggs were ridiculous maybe the chef should try mixing them. They were undercooked and raw. Despite saying I didn't want a refund I still had to show where I'd left the portion to be believed. Avoid if you want decent service or food.

Worst service you could imagine. One girl serving, one on table service, one doing meal service. The queue for service at the bar was around 20 minutes. The app for table service was the same.The manager sat in his office all afternoon appearing once to change the channel on the TV. Complete joke of a place . Nowhere near enough staff. This was a Saturday afternoon.

Fantastic pub with great prices, food and drink. Service is good and pretty quick. My wife and I have been coming here since it opened and haven't been disappointed yet.

Went in Sunday afternoon expected it to be busy and it was..BUT only one poor member of staff on the bar taking food orders and drink orders...ridiculous.. Food came ordered steak pepper sauce looked like it was defrosting but not heated..all clumpy.. didn't get onion rings.. couldn't find staff to mention this.. although did jump queue to resist onion rings... Staff seemed nice but obviously like alot of places understaffed

We usually enjoy the curries In Wetherspoons but on this occasion felt let down. My onion bhaji was totally burnt on the outside and soggy inside. It was inedible and when I showed it to the manager he said that is what they are normally like. He wouldn’t accept that there was a fault.

Popped in for one but as the Pints were so cheap me & my dad decided to stay to try all 5 real ale guest beers, found some great seats by the door, good atmosphere and lots of people having meals, it's a bit weird queueing up at a bar tho? Very busy but a comfortable seat and atmosphere, well worth a Thursday afternoon with my dad.

We visit this branch of Wetherspoons weekly and have never had any real issues,today however we were shocked by what we experienced. The veggie breakfast we ordered was delivered to an neighbouring table, we had a suspicion it may have been ours but as the customer seemed to accept it we thought they may have just ordered the same thing. After watching them start eating it they quickly realized as they bit into the sausage that this was a veggie breakfast and not what they had ordered. Eventually they called over the server who took the food away, about a minute later the server brought over our food. When we challenged the server they admitted that it was the same plate but had replaced what had been eaten (I mean really?). We said we wanted a fresh breakfast, after about 5 minutes out comes the breakfast again and it is clearly the same plate of food including the half chopped mushroom and egg that had clearly been chopped up, everything was stone cold apart from one of the veggie sausages which was red hot. Also the lurpak butter sachets were missing which are usually on top of the toast, we could see these on our neighbours table still. As we are not people who like confrontation we decided not to say anything and anyway we could not prove anything. We promptly left and needless to say we will not be frequenting this establishment again

We came here as we were staying in the dog friendly hotel next door, we understood when they said dogs weren't allowed in the actual pub but was a bit perplexed when they said no dogs in the back garden. So we went outside and got settled, our dog was laid down next to us and we were ordering on the app when someone came over and said dogs also aren't allowed on the front outside the pub... I've never been in a pub where dogs aren't even allowed outside, it's madness! If you have a dog go across the road to the chequered Inn and give them your money.

Today I went to the Samuel Lloyds to have some food and drinks with friends. I have to say the staff were under immense pressure due to staff illness and no shows. However the 4 people who were working did not collapse under the pressure...

Amazing. We went there on Tuesday evening which is the steak night all had a steak and it was amazing for the money you couldn’t have got better I’ve eaten in Miller and Carter and this was better so would recommend it

A group of us attended for Breakfast and although we all had different things to eat everything was cold! Sadly this is not the first time! Although did ha e their food replaced, most of us were too polite to complain.

Friendly helpful staff ,excellent value food,served hot and quickly,no complaints whatsoever I had the Empire State Burger and the wife had Scampi and Chips. All well cooked and hot. The meal includes as much coffee you can drink.

Love the skinny chicken burger, but the poor salad let the meal down. The rockets lettuce on top was floppy and looked aged, and the other lettuce below the tomatoes and cucumber should not have been there, so limp and dried up. Not up to the standard of salads I have had at other Wetherspoons. The premises is light and airy and lovely and warm on a chilly day.

Enjoyed a good meal here today 4th December. We'd had coffee earlier that morning and enjoyed it so much we returned for lunch. Every member of staff were busy and doing a great job. Tables cleared and wiped clean, carpet clean, glasses sparkled and the service and atmosphere fantastic. Thank you to all the hardworking staff who made our trip to Corby enjoyable. We live in Peterborough and the College Arms Wetherspoons here in Peterborough is terrible. I really wish it was as good as this one.!

We often come to the Samuel Lloyd for the Curry Night. Great Pub Curry, an inexpensive evening out and, and always good service for the young people who work here. Curtis and Ross quietly get on with the job in hand and no matter how busy it is, they are calm and professional. Many thanks.

Handy for food and drink when staying at The Hampton by Hilton next door. We use Wetherspoons a lot as they are good value and quality. Good selection of beers but the food at this one was just average.Would probably use again though as it's convenient to walk back to the hotel.

Stopping at the Hampton by Hilton next door this was ideal for food and drink. Wetherspoons are always value for money, not cordon bleu but reliable, speedy and friendly.

Big place with lots of various styles of seating, so you can chill out or stand at the bar. Always a busy place so has some atmosphere. Beer and food prices very good. Easy to get yo by taxi with lots of eating places nearby.

Visited this morning. The bar staff were no where to be seen for 5 minutes. Then couldn’t find large breakfast on the till. Eventually ordered and breakfast came out cold. Then I realised no butter for the toast and no bacon. Raised this issue and the bacon came out 10 minutes later, Also cold. No check back on how it was. Just very poor.

Predictable, over priced food. Noisy, dirty bar area. Avoid. The chips are dreadful but the fish was quite good but nothing special.

We ate here out of convenience as were staying very close by. it wasn’t the most impressive of meals but it was not bad at all. It’s a Wetherspoons the food is not gourmet or cooked from fresh but it’s cheap and cheerful and fills you up.

We were staying locally and the pub was literally a stone’s throw from where we were staying. We ventured in for breakfast and there were plenty of people already doing the same when we arrived. No problem getting a table, we had already decided from looking at the menu the previous night when deciding where to go. The food was very good (sausages were tasty, black pudding cooked well and the eggs done properly, not burnt or cooked too quick as you see in some places). So, a large and small breakfast, with teas thrown in for just over a tenner, what more could you ask for?!

poor customer service burgers came out well over cooked. black then asked for new ones which came onto and again my son's simple cheeseburger was black again and then the chef started to swear at my wife. NEVER AGAIN

Very busy evening so food took a while. Chicken korma was pretty horrid, tasting like a whole chicken stock cube had fallen into the dish. A jalfrezi was marginally better. Naan bread bore no resemblance to the Indian restaurant version, and poppadoms were soggy enough that they could be torn rather than snapped. Normally, Wetherspoons at least offers an interesting range of beers, but many were off so the selection was very limited. Overall, quite poor.

The dinner at the Samuel Lloyd never disappoints me. The food is always a delight to my taste buds. The staff are always nice and caring. Today I came to the Samuel Lloyd to have some of their amazing food. I had their pepperoni pizza what was delicious. I also had a cup of raspberry lemonade what was an exciting feeling for my taste buds. What I'm saying is that the Samuel Lloyd never disappoints me.

Staff not very attentive but food was tasty enough, quite convenient location next to the hotel we were staying in.

Visited as guests of my parents following a trip to Corby, tending the family graves. Usual Wederspoon fare, service was a little slow, and disappointed that the mixed grill was not available, but food was good and left full and happy.

Called in the other evening for food and drink as stopping near buy for a night cheap but not good what’s new

Ordering 2 chicken, bacon and avocado salads we were surprised they arrived so quickly after we'd ordered, however there was no salad dressing and when asked the waitress checked with the kitchen and said they'd run out. She went on to offer 'normal stuff ' when I asked if they had any other salad dressing and when I queried what that was she said 'the white one'. At this point I gave up and just ate the salad as it was.

Very pleasantly surprised. I usually avoid pub chains but will be more open-minded after my trip to this pub. It ticked so many boxes. Friendly and helpful staff. Immaculate - no stains on the carpets or upholstery or finger prints on windows, liquor bottles behind the bar or mirrors. High ceiling and windows made the place airy and comfortable. Unlimited, help yourself, tea and coffee was a great touch. I had the special which was lamb curry that day - not bad at all - very meaty, no gristle or fat and it came with rice, poppadum and naan. I can't remember what my partner had, possible chicken with vegetables. Really excellent value - and we shall visit again.

We tend to visit here weekly for some nice cheap food. On the wall outside the main door there is a notice saying 'Do not smoke in the doorway' but the smokers seem to think this is the place to smoke. So on entering and leaving you have to endure clouds of smoke. Not good for the appetite! Service and availability of food on the menu varies but we keep going back so it can't all be bad.

Wanted a quick meal and ended up waiting a hour for 2 burgers! Was told by staff after waiting 15 mins there was a 30 min wait that we weren’t told about because of ordering on the app, this seemed reasonable as we had already been waiting 15 mins, so another 15 mins wouldn’t hurt.

Come here all the time to enjoy a lovely breakfast as the potato scones are amazing! Only to find out you no longer serve mayonnaise!? What is this??!

Not for the first time I’ve had a disappointing breakfast at this ‘spoons. It wasn’t busy as there was a computer glitch (not a problem) so it was cash only, Meaning a lot of people probably left. The problem was however the standard of the breakfast. It took around half hour to arrive. (A long wait by spoons’ standard) and when it did it wasn’t all there! (Maybe like the chef?) I ordered a traditional Scottish breakfast but it came out minus the black pudding. This was quickly dealt with by our lovely waitress/member of staff. Not only was that missing but the tomato was incredibly burnt. How that was ignored by the person putting it on the plate is beyond me. Very sub standard. When our waitress returned later to check how the food was I apologetically said the bacon was rather over done. (Dry and crispy!). This was also swiftly replaced with a great attitude. I wish I got her name. Wetherspoons you need to up your game on serving up sub standard food. This is the third time in as many visits food has been dry over cooked or burnt. Your kitchen staff clearly have no standards or don’t care what rubbish they bung on plates and send out. Come on guys. You’re cheap but that doesn’t mean you need to serve up rubbish!!!

Whilst driving through Corby we noticed Wetherspoons in a retail park on the junction so we decided to pop in for a snack. It is a very modern type Pub built in the last ten years and is more a commercial property but has window glasses in three sides and outdoor seating. Walking in we noticed that many tables still had plates and glasses that needed clearing ( perhaps short staffed as there was only one waitress serving at the bar, I was served quickly as it was now quieter at 2.15). My wife and I both had the ham and cheese panini with salad plus a 175ml glass of wine for £10.78 for two which I think is very good value.

Went in to meet friends who had came back to Corby from overseas had to wait and wait to be served lack of staff tables full of glasses food left on tables did not feel comfortable at all in this pub maybe they should employ more staff and be retrained on how to serve customers and clear tables. WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!!!!

Visited for breakfast. Over a 30 minute wait for food to arrive, was it worth the wait- most definitely not. Most of it was barely luke warm, except for the beans which were stone cold. The bacon was almost burned , I do like crispy bacon but this was ridiculous.

I’m staying at the adjacent Hampton by Hilton, It’s been a long day on the road and it’s coming up to 6.00pm on a Saturday and it’s busy, but thankfully there is space available but with a general hubbub. This not like a traditional pub, this is a box with lots of windows.

The bar staff never serve in the order people arrive at the bar and far too few staff to get served in a reasonable period of time. Terrible

Waited for 70 minutes to receive our breakfast. Were told numerous times that “it’s being plated up now” but nothing appeared.

Came here for breakfast with some friends before we went to watch football the breakfast was very nice just what I needed to soak up the beer lol.

5p.m. on a Sunday was quiet and service was swift (after negotiating the numerous permutations from the menu) with food delivered quickly. Chilli, chips, ribs and king prawns all perfectly cooked and tasty. A bottle of Malbec washed it all done and for under £21! Two satisfied customers.

You know what is on offer, good ales and range of lagers, the prices for drinks and food are within buget, but there is a feeling of an airport waiting lounge about 'spoons. It does what it does.

Amazing selection of gins and real ales. Food is obviously ‘fast food ’ prepared but at the price it’s acceptable. Eggs Benedict is amazing!!!!!

Took a friend for lunch on the day after Boxing Day. I've been here many times and it is always hit and miss. Today was no exception. Huge queue at the bar, with one bar staff on rushing round like a headless chicken. Eventually she got some help from another staff member who had been in the back, getting something apparently. But people clearly getting annoyed with the delay at the bar.

I know they are a budget priced chain but cleaning tables and making sure the floors are clean would be a good idea. Many families choose this chain when eating out but Mc Donalds does a much better job of keeping things organised.

Samuel Loydes is a family pub, food is not posh but lovely, their steaks are great, and you can always change the chips for salad or jacket potato if needs be.

Ordered food at 6.15pm went back to bar at 6.45 told it would be 5 mins went bact to bar at 7.00 told they had forgotten offered free drink be about 10 mins girl came to table at 7.10 with the wrong meal went back to bar at 7.30 still no food, totally shambolic staff didn't give a monkees,

This is a chain pub.... not much more to say about that. what you get in one Whetherspoons, you get here.

We popped in for a evening meal as we were staying at the Hotel across the road. The offer a vast menu, was hard to decide, very reasonably priced. Meal didn’t take long and was fabulous. Enjoyed our evening and we would return if in the area again.

When you need a break from cooking at a decent and affordable price. Had a skinny steak with scampi (surf and turf),veggie lasagne sides of roast veg,m a veggie burger with xhips pizza, chips, a guiness two coffees and a soup...that fed all seven of us for 42 quid. 6 quid a head really...

A modern and busy pub. Maintains the link that Corby has with Scotland by serving Tennants and offers the Scottish JDW menu alongside the normal English one. Been in three times and each time the staff have struggled with the till. A friendly regular assisted each time! Not bad for a Wetherspoons.

Took our son and seven of his friends for a meal after visiting the trampoline place next door. The staff could not have been more accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. Kim and Morgan made sure everything was perfect and all ten of us (including parents) had a lovely meal. Great food great prices great staff.

To start we arrived at approx 6.30pm on Saturday 10.11.18 - 7 of us went to celebrate an 80th birthday, 3 of us chose bbq chicken melt, about 20mins after ordering (which had taken at least 20mins at the bar) a young lady informed us that they didn't have any bbq chicken and would we re-order. We asked for a few minutes and she said she would come back in a minute - after at least 15 mins we finally got to re-order 1 wanted chicken & rib combo, 1 wanted chicken pizza and 1 wanted southern fried strips - we were then told that 2 of the 3 couldnt be ordered as they had "NO" chicken - why were we not told that to start with and how can a place like this run out of a staple ingredient like this at this time of night on a weekend? After looking for a third time we were told that any price difference would be sorted and either a refund would be issued or no extra charged. We finally got our food at about 8pm and it was adequate at best. On enquiring about a refund about the 3 meals that needed re-ordering we were told that they didn't come with a drink (unlike the ones originally ordered) so we actually owed money - NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE AND WILL NEVER RETURN - on top of that the tables were not cleared / cleaned when people left and there were empty plates/glasses on every available surface.

We went up for some lunch and it was very enjoyable. They keep a good stock of gin. Food was good. Atmosphere was pleasant. It is always a relaxing place.

Ate here after taking my niece trampolining on a Friday lunchtime. It was heaving - people were struggling for a table by 12:30.

Having not been for a while, we were very disappointed with our recent meal there. Most of it was cold on arriving at our table and the not great tasting. The cake I ordered for dessert was really dry and I sent it back. The replacement was no better. The air con makes the room really cold.
