We stayed here this weekend for the pirate festival weekend and this pub is very well placed. I will say that the rooms are a little dated and in need of some TLC but were clean and the shared facilities are clean to. The staff are very friendly and helpful which made for a nice stay.

A proper Weymouth harbourside pub. Always something going on in the main bar (the ukelele club doing Cliff Richard covers always sticks in my memory), Folk Club, Karaoke on a Friday and plenty of live bands. The other side of the bar is quieter but still atmospheric for a natter with friends or a game of pool if you fancy it. More often than not end an evening out here. Lovely pub.

Good breakfast at a sensible price

Best pub in Weymouth in my opinion. Guy doing the music was absolutely fantastic. Such a great fun night. Best place to be on a Sunday

Only went for a pint. I love trad pubs but this was a bit shabby at the edges.

Absloutley brilliant pub, grab a pint while the kids ho crabbing. Didn't get the bar maids name. She worked Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and she was lovely.

Good little pub, staff friendly and has a pool table. Drinks were reasonably priced and the toilets were ok. Overall, a nice little place for drinks however the bar area is a bit cramped. 👍

We had a lovely friendly welcome from Kirsty on arrival, the pub is in a fantastic location on the harbour side , close to everything. The room was ok , it could do with a coat of paint, its basic and the building is old, the bedding was clean and the room had a fab view . I would say, staying a Saturday night is loud and noisy, but we knew this before we booked ! Don’t book over the weekend if you go to bed at 9pm ! The breakfast was served hot and well cooked, the BEST breakfast out for a long time. The lady that served us was welcoming and all the locals were friendly. The best thing was watching the locals get their boats ready for day whilst eating breakfast. We would book again.

14 of us came in here on Saturday whilst visiting for the National Scooter Rally, before we arrived there was only a handful of people, the barmaid was very abrupt shouting at one of us that we couldn't hang our coat on a door handle firstly, we stayed ,played pool and fed the duke box ,as more of us arrived I went to the lounge to move 3 chairs into the bar and she rudely said YOU CANT TAKE ALL THE CHAIRS FROM HERE,incase it gets busy 🤔there was only about 5 people in the lounge it was like a morgue, where as our lot filled the bar ,I commented that it's not really a big deal as there's hardly anyone in there ,to which she implied I WAS BEING RUDE ,what an unfriendly welcome ,won't be rushing back here again ,between us we must have spent atleast £15 each so not very happy ,bad customer service by little miss bossy boots 🙄

Been here for second time, while on holiday, for folk music session on every Wednesday evening. Excellent welcome in this trad pub. Lovely music and singing. Go there now, while the old timers are still there. You won't regret it. Bit noisy when the pool team is at home. Just have to sing / play a bit louder ! Lovely mix of music. Free parking a few minutes away from pub.

Craving a fantastic full English breakfast? This spot is a must-try! They serve up the best I've had in ages. Keep in mind, booking might be a good idea as they have limited seating and no outdoor tables. But if you're looking for a classic full English with all the delicious extras, this is the place to be!

Lovely place I only stayed for 1 night. Locally run. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was really good. There was live music on Wednesday night folk music generally. Half term on a Wednesday in May. Thank you sll involved. I highly recommend staying here.

Amazing breakfast for an amazing price!!!

A typical English pub. We booked for one night. The hotel is located directly at the harbor. The rooms are extremely shabby, the breakfast is ok. Staff very friendly.

By far the dirtiest grubby place I've ever stayed and staff have the worst attitude I've ever seen. I wouldn't even call it thug friendly it's that bad. They will also rob you blind every chance you get!

When ever I'm in weymouth this is the place for a good breakfast. Honestly I never go anywhere else. Staff are always so friendly ,it's always so clean and the fried cooked breakfast is the best in town by far..

Stayed Monday to Thursday and what can I say, kirsty Adam and keeley working behind the bar are amazing. Atmosphere is second to none and the guys are welcoming and the patrons are so friendly. Discovering we can book an en-suite in the future that will be our first choice. Breakfast in the morning is by far the best full English I've had outside of home. Location is perfect as its only a 5 min walk from the sea front. We got to thursday morning and decided to stay another night.

The most dirtiest place I've every drank in. My husband wouldn't even stand up and have a wee. Filthy everywhere. Going home to shower

Basic pub B&B. Friendly and helpful staff, a nice hot breakfast and great location. Shared bathrooms could be cleaner, and the rooms although adequate would benefit from an update and enhanced cleaning. Staying over a pub, noise is expected and when booking you're made aware that it is a live music venue. The noise in the form of shouting and banging from bar customers was more than expected, as was the noise on the stairs most of the night. I wasn't overly bothered by it but be aware that if it's a quiet time that you want or expect, you won't get it here. Overall a pleasant experience mainly because of the lovely staff and warm service.

Good local pub and friendly bar staff.

The staff at the pub were very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast was very good and plenty of it . However the whole place is in a desperate need of a refurb, the room was very dated with heavy dust on skirting and plug sockets. If you have children avoid room 8 directly above the bar, although the view was good the sound of the music was very load and the floor shook with the volume. I know it's a pub and they did warn us about the music, but on Friday we couldn't get to sleep until after 1am due to the noise. I don't want this review to prevent you from going as we had a good weekend Be sure to book a parking space when booking and they will give you a parking permit which is must.

Lovely authentic pub friendly and good atmosphere.

I stayed overnight in this place, the conditions were bearable and breakfast was included in the price. Overall it's okay, although it could be cleaner. The location is nice, so I can recommend it.

1st time at the Sailors to try their well recommended breakfast and it didn't disappoint. Eggs cooked to perfection, fresh cooked mushrooms, bacon not over done and a good tasting sasuage. Staff were friendly & welcoming. Will definitely be returning soon.

Terrible: atmosphere , beer , toilets. These sailors will not return.

Had a really nice room, good view of the Harbour and just minutes from where we needed to be... Enjoyed the live music, too... Good breakfast in the morning.... It beat my boyfriend..... We had a good time

Music was a bit too loud for me, but I guess that's subjective. Really quiet for a bank holiday weekend in Weymouth which is worrying for all pubs.

Nice friendly staff. Breakfast was great . Room was dated with torn duvet cover. When we arrived the door lock was broken and didn't get repaired during our stay.

Like it. Can kinda imagine it back in the day. Not quite in the touristy area of the harbour where it gets hammered. Mainly locals and a few stray tourists. Had an act on and starting to get busy. Real ales, Tribute, Doom Bar and a guest. Doom Bar very nice. Serve breakfast from 06:30, for workers not tourists I suspect. Nice to get away from busy, hectic tourist pubs, even though I am one of those tourists.

Fantastic staff. Breakfast was amazing. Good friendly atmosphere. Beds were comfortable and good size rooms.

We went there after work during the week about 5.30 not too busy which was ideal.Had games of pool Millie my 5 yr old daughter was ok with a few soft drinks and some snacks.I had the tribute ale cracking pint could of drank that all night.A good family evening out

Cheap and basic. As a place to get your head down it is fine. Yes it's a shared bathroom and yes it's above a pub and parking is a bit awkward due to the council. If your expecting the Ritz with peace and quiet than you are foolish to be booking in at a cheap B&B above a pub.

Friendly welcome and staff throughout stay. Rooms cosy, breakfast brilliant. Shame about the WiFi being 'disabled' not very accessible for disabled patrons

Was down for a fishing trip and considering we would usually sleep on the beach this place was perfect to just get your head down especially after a couple of beers. Also situated right in the quayside and in town (good night out) brekkie was good OK but it was just filling an empty stomach after a night out. Our room didn't have en-suite , it was a triple room but it wasn't a problem & didn't make any difference to us, I believe the other rooms have en-suite. Staff nice and friendly and so are the locals , will definitely stay here again (getting a bit old to spend all wknd on the beach) 👍👍👍

Very bad experience, waiting for fish and chips almost 1 hrs but that time not busy, Order beer got wrong one, don't order food here never have worst food like here.

Stayed there sat eve stairs steep no good if you struggle up stairs .rooms really basic .quilt ripped kettle no water telly 16inch covered in dust cold room went to bed with clothes on share shower down hall dirty mouldy .toilet seat broken taps filthy wont be staying again
