Great food, lovely staff, reasonable prices and dog friendly. I recommend a visit.

The food was very good value for money, (although not very warm on arrival), and the staff were extremely friendly, however five minutes into our meal the tv above our heads was switched on at a very high volume for the rugby, which meant my sister and I being unable to have a conversation with our 94 year old mother. I did ask if the volume could be lowered a fraction, but am unsure if this did actually happen. I appreciate that its a sports bar and wouldn't have minded so much if other people were actually listening, but there were only six other customers in that area and they were all talking amongst themselves. A suggestion would be to maybe give customers who sit on table 2 notice if the TV is due to be switched on when they place their order, as we weren't expecting that after we'd got settled.

Food was OK, service was good. It always feels quite quiet, which if you're wanting a quiet pub that's great but whenever I've been there's not been much atmosphere. The 30% off vouchers were great!

Charging £4:35 for a non alcoholic cider is exorbitant. 60p dearer than other pubs in Weymouth.

Ate in here on holiday with our kids.. food took ages to come out even though it was empty, menu was stupidly small, staff weren't polite, people just stared and were unfriendly, food wasn't nice. Overall disappointed with the outside being so nice

We loved the small plate lunch menu with pudding, just right for small appetites. Our lad had a normal sized meal, when we saw the size of it we were glad we'd gone for the small lunches. All four meals were lovely, as were our puddings. We will be back!

Good meal for a good price, good beer too. not cordon bleu but not expensive for eating out these days

Marstons pubs in our area and in my experience are nice, family friendly places. Rough around the edges would have been fine, but this pub looks nice and isn't. The staff are a 5* except the manager who really didn't care. They had new card machines that didn't work so we had to pay cash. That's okay, every now and then the technology fails and that's nobody's fault. Toilets are grim, even for a pub. Males had soap at least, female loos had none. The clientele can't be helped but the manager could curb their behaviour, he didn't. One man was vaping, clearly, either that or I've met a half man half dragon 🐲🤦‍♂️ in front of the staff and manager. Food was okay, it was slightly worse than a hungry horse 🤔 Painting the walls is okay but when the floor and carpet say 1965 and the walls say 2024 it's almost worse than if you hadn't decorated at all. All in all, it served a purpose we were Hank Marvin. But I'd never venture in again.

Sunday roast was top notch. Best roast potatoes I've tasted in a long time..

First time i had been In the pub for a while and was pleasantly surprised with the place. The staff were very friendly and gave good customer service. We ordered food and drinks. The food arrived quickly and was cooked to a high standard. Apart from it being quiet the place came across as a well run pub. The food was great.service was great. Would recommend it to everyone.

We were staying at Littlesea Weymouth up the road and was our favourite place within walking distance. Very friendly and also allow dogs. Had a lovely Mixed Grill at a great price Also do daily specials including a drink for a great price We eat twice here in our 5 day stay and will happily return on our next visit.

Just called in for coffee as we were early for a funeral at the local crematorium. It was quite busy with people having lunch. The staff were really pleasant & helpful. The menu looked ok, pretty typical pub fare but looked substantial & customers seemed to be enjoying their chosen dish. Very reasonable prices. The car park was full but we found a space across the road. Toilets clean & well stocked with hand cleanser & toilet paper. Outside seating available. Several reserved tables inside so obviously a popular place.

Nice pub, friendly staff and drinks are an okay price. Has a pool table and darts boards. Did not have food so can't comment. However, decor could do with a refurbishment. Overall, a nice pub. 👍

This pub has the cheapest beers in the area. The food is good, nicely prepared with big portions and the staff are courteous and helpful. The pub could use more seating as they have a lot of large tables, so that leads to a lot of wasted seats. It's also a family friendly pub, so this means there can be a lot of children running around during big matches.

Despite it being a very busy Friday, I enjoyed an amazing mixed grill. Massive portion and extremely good value for money. The team advised me of the wait on food but I was more than happy to wait as the prosecco was only £13 a bottle for Fizz Friday. Plus the food arrived much sooner than expected. Well done guys, great night all round.

It's been a long time since I've been in here,had main meal deal and was not disappointed. 2 steak meals and 1 pie meal. Good portions cooked as requested, clean plates. Lively thanks.

Stopping at Haven round the corner and decided to stop in for food. Great value and good size portions. Definitely worth the visit.

Some of the food wasn't so nice. The staff were nice, but there were some unpleasant people there while we were trying to have a family dinner.

First time there, plenty of tables, great service, a very good choice on the menu including vegetarian options+ kids, excellent prices. Would recommend a visit.

Stopped here as nearby accommodation. Wanted to order food, told could do so . Was waiting then told kitchen was closing , not informed when arrived. Not many drinks on offer no prosecco and wine not good. Seems popular with the locals though.

2024. Dog friendly. Menu prices are good, eg Hunter's Chicken Breast & chips and Double-patty Burger & Fries both less than £10 each. Good parking. Outdoor seating.

Stopped off on Sunday. Late afternoon not sure if they were dog friendly. But they were landlord was very friendly. Food was excellent. Great boozer. Will definitely visit when in the area again. 🐶👍🍺

Great food I had a mixed grill all the meat was cooked perfectly the staff were friendly and very helpful, will go again also prices are reasonable.

The food is amazing I came here once before and I remember it being delicious and I've just come again and does not dissapoint the desert menu is quite limited but the food is amazing I had the ultimate spicy beef burger and it wasn't very spicy with I like I can do a bit of spicy but not too much but it was amazing I has 2 burger patties lettuce spicy pulled pork nacho chese bacon American style cheese and crispy onions I didn't have it with onions because I don't like them but even without the onions it was delicious it also comes with chips for the atmosphere I mean it's a pub what do you expect bloody Nobel prize winner "oh the fineee winee aged 20000 years tates most delicious" with bloody fancy music playing no its a pub just people having a good time it's usually quite busy so the service can sometimes take a while but not very long compared to other places 5/5 stars would recommend

Food was basic pub food, but cooked extremely well and all came out at the same time, nice and hot, beers nice here too.

Went up after a funeral,was busy but the staff coped very well,also the drinks seemed very reasonably priced, would use more often if I lived locally.

We visited for tea after being recommended by fellow holidaymakers and was not disappointed. The food was very well priced as was the drinks. I had a steak and my partner a curry , both were really tasty .Staff were friendly and very efficient, service was very good. The staff were cleaning regularly all areas and the pub was very clean. There isn't a separate restaurant which may put some people off but we loved it , and we were very well looked after .

Moving to the area soon so thought we would try out a local pub. Very busy for a Friday evening but the barman squeezed us in. Food was great value for money 5 of us ate 3 adults and 2 children all had 2 drinks £50. No children allowed after 8.30 but that's fair in my opinion. Will go again.

Quiet on the days we stopped for lunch. Food good value and tasty. Fast service. Have also used side room for wake & ordered buffet. Again very good food.& variety at really competitive price.

I visited yesterday for dinner and a couple of pints, then sat with some people I had recently spoken too. I had taken my dog with me and proceeded to sit down, a punter comes up to me and asks if his dog can say hello, I agreed but my dog barked and clearly they didn't get along. I go back to take a sip of beer, to then be approached by someone that says "cmon think it's time you left" I asked him if he worked here and he said he was the manager and goes on to accuse me I've been smoking when I had a herbal ciggarete beforehand (trying to give up tabacco) I just left in the end due to him causing me such humiliation in front of a crowd. But still can't help but think it's from a judgment based off the breed of my dog as that's what gave rise to him piping up for me to leave. But hey next time il go to another pub that doesn't discriminate against someone or their dog wanting something to eat and a place to sit and relax. If this isn't resolved I'll be taking it further.

Very good value for money, but it is a sports pub, so it's not the quietest to get a Sunday roast.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Friendly staff, and a nice atmosphere with people playing darts, poker, and watching sport on the TVs. A proper traditional pub, a rare thing in this day and age.

Called in on 2 different days, first day we both had afternoon meal deal, all day brunch, second day we both had afternoon deal standard fish and chips. U had alcoholic drinks, the wife had hot refill drinks. On both occasions food and drink perfect and great value for money. All staff very polite and helpful and always clearing and cleaning tables as soon as people left. Couldn't fault any thing.

Cool bar in the heat, quiet but not frighteningly so and barstaff great. Warned of 20 mins delay for food, so we ordered drinks whilst we waited. Lunch came in 10-15 mins so not as bad as anticipated & that's better than vice versa! Chilled out after lunch, no pressure to move and this was appreciated on such a hot day!

It was the first time we had used the pub and we were very impressed! We hadn’t realised that there was a charity football match after ‘party/bbq’ happening that day. However the staff and food were both lovely even though they were extremely busy.

Michael the manager is a warm welcoming individual who is a top bar manager. The menu is good value for money and the drink range on tap is adequate for most tastes. Plenty of TV's when there is live sport to watch with friends and for the locals the opportunity to play skittles for kne of the many teams based here in the Weymouth and Portland skittles league too

A really nice pub with friendly bar staff, my wife and myself both had the Sunday roast and enjoyed it, we'll be back again this week and if we lived locally it would probably be our local.

Just visited I must say on arrival Michael was very pleasant ordered the surf and turf and for £11.95 it was delicious and very good portion would definitely return 5*****
