The Royal Standard Inn in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Hi all I literally spent 5 seconds in this place , walked in and it was dead no one around desperate for the toilet I put my very light bag on the pool table that looked older than Cliff Thorburn and was approached by a 16 year old man child stating don't put your belongings on there it will wreck the felt . Too late it's so damaged and warm so I walked out no customers for this place I wonder why . Take a wide berth .

Just popped in for a pint while we were staying in Hayle. Happened upon the loveliest barmaid Dee so nice smiley & full of information. Will definitely pop in again for the atmosphere. 💕

Excellent service from the young lady serving, By my second drink I didn’t even need to tell her my order, she made me feel very welcome and at home. Great service Pheabie, with people like you serving makes me definitely want to return again, she a credit to your establishment .

i love this pub staff are very friendly and atmosphere is great .very cosy in winter with the log fire going too.will definately be going regularly carol hollow oct 2023

Lovely warm atmosphere. Sharon the bar lady was a laugh and made you feel right at home. The locals chatted to you and it was like we had always been there. Will be back again soon.
