Just a lovely atmosphere made even more pleasant by the landlady. Pristine facilities.Great location.

Pub was fine....Landlady was nice...but very pricey for what it is. Over £9 for a pint of beer and a coke. We won't be back.

What a fabulous pub! First time visit. Tina is a lovely welcoming landlady. Made us feel so welcome. Darts, Pool, Bowls during the day. Comfortable seating. Wide variety of drinks. We will be back and wished we had ventured inside the doors alot sooner

I was served a beer that was clearly 'off', he said try another, as he had not pulled through a pint (of that) that day, awful. He then gave me money back and said he didn't want to waste any more beer, and would not serve me . Guy should not run a pub. People wonder why weatherspoons are taking over.......?

Quant little pub, no food but frendly bartender.

It's a pub , a good one . No fancy food no over priced bad tasting wine. And a real bonus is that we have never seen anyone in there wearing shoes without socks .

Great proper pub. Always get a warm welcome here from the land lady, Newcastle brown is always cold too. Pool and darts along with music that’s always on very pleasant experience.

It was my first visit, met up with family for a celebration. I found it to be friendly and the facilities were clean & tidy. A good choice of beers, also.

****UPDATE***** At NO point did we ask to EAT in the pub. We asked to leave it out by the door. God knows what you are referring to by an injury as I have NEVER had an injury from being in a pub 🤣🤣🤣 SO RUDE!! I wouldn't even give this pub a 1 star rating!!! The landlady is rude, vile and argumentative. Wouldn't let us leave our food OUTSIDE the pub doors.!!!!! She shouted at us despite the fact we were going to leave the food outside and buy drinks!!!

What a good pub the locals really friendly, I'm appalled to read these negative reviews about this pub been drinking there for a long time, never have these two lovely ppl been in anyway rude to anyone, the locals are fantastic very friendly and always polite 👍

Experienced first hand racism, misogyny, and discrimination from the landlord. Usually, with my many experiences of this behaviour, after being called out; people take accountability for their actions. Seems the landlord and his staff are in denial with what’s right and wrong, which makes this place even more dangerous. As a customer you won’t feel safe in this pub.

Racist. The people that run the karaoke here are straight up racist. Wouldn’t let an American sing a Katy Perry song. This is the most ridiculous and awful thing I have ever heard and happened on our honeymoon. Awful people and the pub landlord needs to remove the karaoke staff. Update: A disappointing response from a disappointing establishment. Thank you for remembering us and also thank you for responding, even though much of your comment is pure fiction. I note your use of capitalisation for the word racist which is well known to represent shouting in anger. To clarify to those reading these reviews, there were no claims of racism for “lost pool games” and there was no “defused situation” for calling any other customer racist. Sadly, the only racism was from (what has now been confirmed as) the management team themselves. I would personally strongly recommend steering clear of this pub.

Had a great Sunday afternoon in the Royal Oak Godmanchester with friends, impromptu Karaoke was a right laugh, landlord and landlady were very welcoming

Terrible pub. I found the landlord extremely unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. The beer was either off or the lines haven't been cleaned in a long time. All the staff were rude. Stay clear!

Horrible people. Horrible place. Horrible service. Main piece of advice dont associate yourself with an establishment that enables and therefore supports racism. My best friend and her husband as of two days a go did not deserve to have been mistreated the way they were. This is unbelievable and I’m disgusted with the entire situation.

Shocked to hear the treatment that my sister in law was given at this racist pub tonight. Denied access to the karaoke as she has an American accent. To make matters worse when my mother in law tried to contact them to speak to the manager. The landlady refused to speak to her and hung up. Disgusting and unprofessional behaviour. My poor sister in law is on her honeymoon too.

My daughter went to this pub just after her wedding - they insulted her and ridiculed her because she has an American Accent. We called to complain, but the landlady hung up on us. Only go to this pub if you are from Norfolk, otherwise expect to be mistreated

Due to 3hr delays on A1 2 weeks ago I had to go through Godmanchester, and I thank the landlord for the use of the facilities.

Pure drinkers pub. Not bad as long as you consider only that. Wouldn't consider it for a family day out.

Locals only dive on waterfront. Not a place for a relaxing drink or food, go to White Hart for that.
