Really disappointed. Have had some lovely food from here . Last two orders have been awful . Rice like rubber , no flavour to the salt and pepper dishes , chips like cardboard and £7 for 5 salt and pepper chicken wings that had too much batter and no flavour . Won’t be ordering again £32 wasted .

Usually really good from here, the wings and salt and pepper chicken were lovely. I got the Sweet and Sour meal with rice and was appauled sadly, the chicken was horrible and I couldn't eat the meal which was such a shame. Quite disappointed and put off re-ordering from here

The. beef chow mein was to. dry. the. beef was over cooked. it was like. chewing. leather. and. really. dry. the. munchy box was good. and plain. noodles was good as. well. it was. just the beef. chow mein. very. dry. beef. really. over cooked.

Always good food from here, it’s my go to place for Chinese food 5*****

food was only just warm. I got hot and spicy beef the amount of red chillies was too much and the beef was too tough to chew

Ordered on just eat as been happy In past but tonight got order from another take away that was cold stodgy horrid. And recept showed less charge. We will now be avoiding at all costs. Called and they didn't seem bothered. Customer service non existent

Ordered from here tonite on just eat but the order came from another takeaway which we avoid as the food is always dry and tasteless even worse the recipt was £6.00 cheaper than we was charged.This has been reported to just eat and a full refund request has been placed.Will not be using this takeaway again.

Absolutely abysmal, crispy beef was so thin it just turned to dust when you bit in to it , chicken wasn’t much better , chips had defo been re fried so hollow in side ,curry sauce no flavour and watery , highlight of the meal was the fortune cookie !

I ordered 2 rice dishes that were both stodge rice they went in the bin

You theif, rip off and greedy bec 40% off and deliberated took my money what I paid for bec didn't get curry sauce. You knew i cannot ring. Sweet sour sauces loss much favours n watering. Chip hard edge. Other food ok. Not sure buy again future.

Missed off two portions of chips which means two people could eat their meals and two of us had to let ours go cold while waiting for the chips to be delivered. My daughter was only having chips with curry sauce so couldn’t eat anything at all.

2h wait from ordering to delivery, which was 10mins late. BUT the food was hot and delicious 😋 will definatley be ordering again.

Second time ordering from here and wasn’t 100% sure first time but this time the food was absolutely incredible! It was piping hot when it arrived & was super tasty 😍 thank you, 100% recommend here

Okish but deceived and rip off for salt and perper munchy box no proper cook salt and pepper for chicken balls, chips etc and dried rice, runny currys etc. Other goods. Not sure buy again near future.

The salt and pepper chicken wings were extremely hot and made my lips tingle. The wings also tasted of flour

I ordered from a takeaway called the royal kitchen when it arrived it was from master fu's. had I been informed at the time of the order I would not have proceeded I have had mediocre food from there before

Everything I tried tasted of foist like the restaurant as got problems with damp I ate non of it after trying each thing I ordered and everyone of them tasting foisty. Disgusting.

Unfortunately I was missing the main of my meal but I was able to ring and they cooked it right away and delivered it quickly, I was also given another fried rice knowing the rice I had would be cold. They also sent extras which I’m very thankful for. I understand mistakes happen so I am going to be ordering from them again as the food was lovely.

Food was great, decided to collect and it was all ready on time. Looking at the receipt printed at the shop the Just Eat prices are quite a bit more expensive than the store receipt prices, so it’s hard to say if the 40% off at Just Eat saved much money overall rather than just paying full price at shop. It would definitely cost a lot more on Just Eat without the 40% off promotion than just ringing them. Either way the food is very good. Highly Recommended for quality of food and service timing.

Havent eaten in so cant star atmosphere..but the take aways are brilliant

Been using this chinese for a couple of years and for the first time ordered some food for my mother. She had been complaining she couldnt find a decent chinese since she move. She gave her meal 9 out of 10 she said she only found 1 king prawn in her special chow mein, therefore list a point. Very good meals, portion sizes and service 5*

Missing drink and missing part of my order food overcooked no response from just eat

decent food but took over 2 hours form ordering after notification after 45 minutes saying driver was on way

before I ordered it said 30 mins to 45 mins for delivery once ordered and paid delivery was 90 minutes. it still arrived about 20 mins late.food quality poor as was Luke warm

Can't fault it, never had a bad meal here yet and have been going for a good few months now.

I was pretty disappointed in the overall meal. I enjoy spicy so I ordered the hakkanese special with chilli and garlic… there wasn’t any presence of Chilli in any way shape or form… although good ingredients were there it had little flavour and certainly no chilli or kick whatsoever.. very bland. GUTTED

Best Chinese, great food and service Everytime.

One of the best meals from a Chinese I’ve had for a long time. Asked for certain requirements which was fulfilled without question. I totally recommend the salt and pepper fried rice. Will certainly be coming here again. Excellent

Terrible !!! 1st and last order .. came like last weeks left overs and chips looked like the oil they was cooked in hasn’t been changed in 10 years … straight in the red bin very disappointed

The chips was not very nice but the sweet and sour chicken was ok

Absolutely terrible, one of my family members actually said he would go to the shop in person to complain as the food was that bad, especially the beef strips that were like rock. We will not buy food from here again.

Absolutely awful food. Looked very appetising when I opened my ribs but when I tasted them I was almost sick. Inedible So salty. The munch box was poorly presented. Too spicy and again ribs far too salty. Will not be using this place again

Had 2 deliveries over the last couple of weeks....really tasty food, good quality ingredients, always delivered ahead of estimated time and both times piping hot. Ticking all my boxes 😁👍

The worst Chinese I’ve ever had, food was tasteless, chicken wing batter was rock hard (was worried I’d break my teeth) chips were reheated, bland and hard. Portion sizes tiny and way too expensive. Honestly don’t waste your hard earned money on this, it’s put a downer on our Friday night.

Not impressed with The Royal Kitchen my duck spring rolls weren’t cooked properly, the chips were reheated, prawn crackers really greasy. Never again. We will return to Hindle Hill.

ordered the 9inch Munchy box again as I loved it last time even recommended to my partner tonight so we bought 2 boxes however its come with spare ribs that are basically just bone and literally 2 pieces of salt and pepper chicken each, basically spent £26 on two boxes of chips and egg fried rice, not impressed at all!

I tried this take away for the first time tonight and I can’t recommend it enough. The food was really great and the service was also lovely. I recommend the pork dumplings and the spare ribs for sure. Give this place a try Angela

Although I had read the reviews ,I decided to try a meal I was not disappointed it was lovely ,fresh tasty . My husband ate it ,all of. It which is surprising has he his appetite has decreased due to illness. The meal was better than what I ate in China Town London last week and much more reasonable

Darwen is in desperate need of a good Chinese takeway but sorry Royal Kitchen, i hoped but im giving the food a generous 3 stars. The salt and pepper wings are in heavy batter and absolutely no flavour, the bland s&p seasoning was added after cooking the wings and just sits in the bottom of the tray. Underneath the batter the wings are reasonable quality, had they been fried in or infused with any flavoring they could have been ok. The ribs were lovely, nice sauce and the meat was tender, i enjoyed the ribs and my wife enjoyed the garlic mushrooms. The main course, chicken and mushroom was just not to my taste, it had large soggy rubbery pieces of chicken, the type that plagues chinese takeaways, it could be i am in the minority in having a serious dislike to that style of chicken and again a bit bland sorry. The rice was tasteless and all stuck together and the curry sauce just didn't have any rich flavour and i regretted putting some on my plate. The chips were good quality but we ordered salt and pepper chips, again just no flavour, the seasoning was an after thought and added little flavour, the few chillis mixed in were a welcome treat and much needed to give the tastebude a little satisfaction. The menu looks great for a vegetarian and i was excited for my wife to have somewhere she could get something different like mock duck but again it missed the mark. Sorry its not a good review but i would want to know how my food was recieved if i was the one cooking it.

King Po chicken was battered and slimy. The sauce was more like sweet and sour with a few cashew nuts thrown on top.
