The Godfather Pizza House in Blackburn with Darwen

Awful. Called in tonight to get my mother a doner kebab and chips . It came without flat /pitta bread /just doner meat on top of chips she threw it straight in the bin . Said it was awful . .We weren't impressed with the service .won't be going back.

Excellent service. We placed a large order for a family celebration. Food arrived quickly. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely be back.

Brilliant customer service. Had to order gluten free pizza as well as normal pizzas and they where so helpful. And as always the food was delicious.

Ordered for delivery at 18.00pm, arrived at 5.15pm. Driver indicated that he could return the food and redeliver at requested time, but food would be kept hot on oven. I accepted delivery, unpacked my food, only for the driver to return and say that he had spoken to the takeaway who would take back the original order and return with new order at 18.00. I was extremely annoyed having unpacked my food, so I accepted the original order. Food was just about acceptable, although a full salad box was sent despite only requesting tomato, cucumber and onion. Such an utter mess for a simple order, a waste of £27.35, and I will not order another takeaway from Godfather.

The God Father pizza house is the best in Darwen by my account. I've been going here for years and if you want my opinion, the special is the best. It's a touch spicy mind you 🍕🍕🍕

We ordered a metro meter pizza, every flavor was amazing especially the new Yorker. We also had a Greek garlic bread and it was delicious especially if you like a strong goats cheese taste with sweet red onion.

Not much better on the toppings front either, just lifting a box up you can feel there's no weight to any of the pizzas or garlic breads. Tonight we've had a penne "carbonnara" that was just an overly salty cheese sauce with about a dozen bits of bacon. Not good at all. And at £21 for a pasta and garlic bread (with cheese and mushroon to be fair) it's not cheap either. Sorry guys but we won't be back anytime soon, really disappointing as you used to be our go-to takeaway in Darwen.

Ordered food for my little boys birthday tea party and it was ready within 20 mins. Everyone commented on how nice the pizza tasted as well as being impressed with the meter long pizzas. Wouldn’t hesitate to do the same thing again. Thanks for amazing service.

My garlic bread with cheese and mushroom came burnt , my carbonara tastes of raw flour and uncooked bacon , all inedible.

Wow, this place has gone downhill .We had 2 pizzas and a shish kebab delivered.. It took 1 and half hours for them to arrive( we were promised 45 minutes). The delivery driver was unapologetic and was reluctant to give my wife her change.. He stood there with his hand out expecting a tip… No chance … The wife said he thought he called her a b***h under his breath!!!! Now the food. The pizzas were awful.. Both raw in the middle, greasy and lukewarm. Fake turkey ham and pepperoni on one , meat feast the other. It says it all When two teenagers won’t eat pizza ..The kebab, which was supposed to be lamb shish was stewed beef… It was cold and smothered in chilli sauce . It just fell apart when I ate it after wiping away some of the sauce.. It was just a soggy chilli mess … I only ate it because I was hungry… The 3 cans of coke I ordered were the only thing what was consumed entirely… This place used to be good. Sadly it no longer is… Avoid

Unfortunately the wrong pizza was deliverd, however, i spoke to the manager and he sent the correct one right away! He said to enjoy the wrong pizza sent and they were both excellent, spot on! Ordered a pizza and forgot the sauce, not only did they deliver the garlic dip quickly bit it was on the house, fantastic takeaway, can't fault them 👌

Got pizza takeaway delivered. Godfather is usually spot on but last nights was vastly disappointing, arrived 45 minutes earlier than my chosen delivery time which wasn’t good as I had people coming round to share. Pizza and garlic bread arrived cold and dried up…!!! Didn’t feel it was £35 well spent.

Ordered through just eat. Late delivery. Pizza was burnt, cold and stuck to the box. Ice cream had melted. £20 for a mess. Asked for a refund. Won't use godfather or just eat again.

We have been customer of Godfather for over 15 years. We can’t praise them enough for the amazing service and beautiful food, we always receive. Even if there are any slight errors (over 15+ years), the team at Godfather have always been quick to resolve any issue quickly and efficiently. We love their New Yorker pizza, kebabs and burgers. To be honest, there isn’t a bad meal to be had. The food is truly amazing and well worth it cost wise. I would highly recommend and have recommended this amazing restaurant. I don’t call it a take away because the food is on another level. Here’s to another 15 years of amazing food and service.

Called in and ordered the Metro Pizza choosing half mighty meaty and half Italian sausage. Was ready in ten minutes and was piping hot and tasted fantastic. Fresh ingredients, fresh made base and cooked to perfection. Can’t fault it. Staff were friendly and made sure I was happy with everything too. Would defo recommend.

Called in and ordered a Metro Pizza (half mighty meaty, half Italian sausage - it is tastier than pepperoni!). Was served by friendly and helpful staff who advised it would only be 10 minutes. Witnessed the base being freshly handmade and all fresh toppings being applied. True to his word the food was ready in 10 minutes, piping hot and smelled amazing. It tasted fab, all the family were happy and for less than £20 five of us were fed and with leftovers too. Would defo recommend and will be calling again soon.

I'm a regular customer and have previously recommended to others.. Only ordered 1 x 9" pizza on this occasion. Told it would be 30 mins, arrived 1 hr later, cold! Disappointed 😞 Changed hands maybe??

Order 4 meals for 18.40, but the meals arrived at home at 17.50. while I was at my daughters swimming lesson. Not as good warmed up.

Always my go to when I want a top quality pizza. I usually go for the salt and pepper chicken pizza with cheese crust and it's always perfect.

Every time we order from here we say we will never do it again, then a year later we order because the menu looks great and we have the same experience with delivery. Ordered at 5.37, got a text to say ETA was 6.07, after an hour I called and was told my husband had apparently called to say we wanted the food at 7.15, this absolutely did not happen so the guy apologised and said he’d get it to us asap, food arrived just after 7.15 and was cold as usual. It’s so frustrating because the food is good. There will be no way we will ever order from here again. Thanks for your argumentative response, exactly how you were on the phone, not sure how you would have rectified cold food without waiting for another hour. This is my honest review and unfortunately is the same experience we’ve had every time and judging by some of the comments it’s not just us. Your food is not the problem, your lack of delivering on time and customer service unfortunately is.

We (family of 4) ordered the classic metre long pizza, was not disappointed! Flavorful and plenty of toppings, pizza stayed intact when taking a bite all meat was fresh the chicken was perfect. Definitely order again!

Got a whole onion on my kebab for no extra charge. Made me cry. Tears of joy though. Who doesn't love a whole uncooked onion on their kebab?

You can genuinely go to the moon and back. You STILL won’t find a better Pizza place. Nothing short of truly exceptional. I kid you not,,,,, THE most delicious Pizza I have ever tasted. No, I do not have any connection at all with the staff or owners. All you Pizza lovers out there. Buy one and see for yourself.

Ordered online at 6.30 pm , says out for delivery at 7.12 pm , still no sign of it at 8pm . Rang up , they didn't seem to have a clue what was going on . It hadn't even been made , they had took the money out of my account . Was asking me how I had ordered it , I said online , they seriously didn't have a clue 😐 I'm going to work in an hour , bloody starving . Maybe a trip to the shop tomorrow to complain . I have been going to the godfather for a few weeks now - the food is excellent! The staff are so friendly,warm and welcoming and recommend meals which makes your bill cheaper even though it’s at their expense!!! The owner is front of house and is a really nice guy.I have had pizzas and kebabs and they are both excellent although the kebabs are my favourite,they are very good. It is the best takeaway in darwen. Value for money ✅ Taste and flavour ✅ Cleanliness ✅ Staff welcoming ✅ Lots of choice ✅

Has to be the worst takeaway pizza I've ever had.... firstly placed order online, waited an hour and half even though it said 45 min. Tried ringing couldn't get through ended up finding a mobile number on the facebook page and they didn't know anything about it as system had crashed supposedly. Food turned up burnt and I don't even know what that base is made from its more like a tortilla or bread. Either it was shockingly bad, there are plenty more places in Darwen if you want pizza so don't bother going amalfi or godfather.

Busy shop,,, Let down by donner meat only half cooked

Went to Godfathers in Darwen for a quick fix. I ordered a chicken, mushroom and sweetcorn pizza and a chicken zinger burger. Zinger burger was okay but the bun was massive and chicken burger pretty small, so not great value for money. The pizza as you can see in the picture was extremely under cooked, to the point everything I tried to separate the slices all the topping dragged off because the cheese wasn't cooked properly, it then revealed the doughy, soggy, undercooked base. It was also smothered with a pizza base sauce that really was not nice. Ended up chucking it. The guy behind the counter spent ages sorting out two delivery guys out and ignored me. He then picked up 2 separate phones trying to take as many orders as possible while waving a finger at me and whispering "1 minute". He then answered another phone call while trying to figure out what I ordered. Crappie customer care, terrible food. I have been here in the past and I have had extremely mixed food, some good, some really good and most terrible. This will be the last time!

I don't order many takeaways, but, when I do they're superb. Fabulous veggie pizza ordered last night to treat myself, early delivery, despite myself ordering quite late. Friendly driver, warm food, very tasty and I thoroughly recommend them. Over the years they've been fab. I also recommend their kebabs. All round good experience as always, thanks folks x

I orderd on the new app and how easy this was even for me who is really cannywith apps so here we go the order consisted of a chicken with peppers stuffed crust 12" and just wow perfect 👌 as always 😋 A portion of cheesey chips 🍟 too And I think the staff definitely looked after me chips where fresh with there pizza cheese just amazing couldn't fault it one bit Very happy fast service thankyou to godfathers
