The Royal Albert in Croydon

A no frills, old school boozer that doesn’t seem to have been touched in about 50 years. The place stinks of cigarettes, beers are poured terribly and the decor is falling apart. Try to avoid this place if I can.

The last real pub in the triangle. Always a warm welcome and fresh ale in excellent condition. Usually TT + 1 or 2 others..

Really good, old school pub. No pretence, no nobs, no shoreditch type helmets. A locals pub it seems, subtle art deco styling inside. Hasn't been refurbished in years and all the better for it. Well priced beers too, a few ales on tap and the regular lagers. Went in on a random Tuesday, they had an open mic poetry night on. Actual people speaking, listening and not engrossed in their phones

Smashing proper boozer with the best Guinness in Crystal Palace at an affordable price. Always a welcoming service from Bernie and all the bar staff and you’ll meet some Chatty friendly locals. Long live the Royal Albert!

Came here for a beer before a festival in the park, the place was fairly nice for a quick sit down.

Keep your eyes peeled for open mic nights. There a good one.

If you want a modern theme pub, this ain't it, but that's a good thing, it's a good old fashioned pub, there is no parking, but there is seating outside the front, the pricing is reasonable and they have great live events.

When I speak to people about pubs in Crystal Palace this watering hole never comes up in conversation and I was on my way to another boozer up in Gipsy Hill. As I walked up Westow Hill I glanced across the road and locked eyes on the Royal Albert and I thought to myself; that pub has got qualities that delight the eye so I popped in and treated myself to a pint of timothy Taylor’s brewery. As expected it was friendly locals pub with a couple of screens dotted around for the football and I even had a lovely chat with one of the locals while I enjoyed my pint. Moral of the story don’t be afraid to try somewhere new!!

Best pub in Crystal Palace! It’s not a newfangled yuppie bar or gastropub, it’s a good old fashioned true-to-word pub, and I love it. The guv’nor is a gem who’s been here 22 years and the original features - him included! - are classic pub. 11/10

A traditional boozer. You can expect to find a good selection of larger as well as Guinness and spirits. A friendly owner and staff and a lovely garden.

Normal pub with normal drinks/staff and clientelle. What this place does have is one of the best views of the city. Sit out front on a sunny day and look down Beardell St and take it in. Check it out on the street view. Peace

Expensive flat beer in a grubby little pub. Would have closed down years ago in Yorkshire.

Traditional down to earth pub with nice outdoor seating area at the side. Two tasty ales - Bolt thrower and Spitfire.

Seemed very much a locals pub, nothing special. Well kept beer, Spitfire and Landlord. Sports results on the TV.

Enjoyed the fact that this pub had no Covid restrictions at all. Bar service, no check in and mask wearing at all.Just like the old days Unfortunately I won't be back as the ale was horrible and rotted my guts. I was farting poison gas all next day!

An older no frills pub with limited range of beer, while the pub has set up as best as possible to be COVID safe (one way systems, hand sanitizer stations and 2 in the toilets at a time), the customers did not respect the rules. When I went the cup final was on. I also think the staff should wear masks, but that's my personal view. All drinks served were reasonable quality albeit they were served in random glasses i.e. cider in lager glasses etc which meant we were forced to smell or taste the drinks which breaches Covid safety.

Awful landlady very miserable was served all night paying with card then told minimum spend is £5.00 .... we had spent around £60 overall . Toilets filthy . Then at 10.30 pm started turning all the lights off

Last orders called at 9.30. We still had pretty much full pints as we weren't told they were closing early. Five minutes later the lights were turned off and we were left sitting in the dark. There is a place for an old fashioned pub like the Albert if it's run properly. This place isn't and deserves to close.

Hier war ich Anfang der 90er Jahre bei einem London Urlaub. Ein uriger und gemütlicher kleiner Pub mit leckeren lokalen Bieren. Besonders in Erinnerung ist mit geblieben ist mir, dass der Wirt uns „Beer to go“ in leere Baccardi Flaschen zapfte. Sehr beeindruckend.

Encontramos este pub en uno de nuestros primeros días en Londres, y pronto se convertirá en nuestro lugar favorito para el resto de nuestra estancia. El camarero (posiblemente el propietario de este pub es muy amable y se sirve cerveza ale de las bombas tradicionales. :)

Authentic pub in Crystal Palace with an excellent Sunday Roast for 8 quids. Not food available during the week, only on Sundays. The pub has character and has live Irish music on Wednesday nights. Highly recommended for a proper beer.

El servicio y la comida era terrible. Nos sentamos en la mesa para todas las edades y nos sentimos ignorado por el personal. Tuvimos que olas en un miembro del personal un pedido para las bebidas y la comida. Entonces tardó 15 minutos para ser servida una bebida y seguido inmediatamente por el plato principal que habíamos pedido. El plato principal que pedimos estaba 1/2 pollo asado, era básicamente vierten en el plato con un pequeño plato de Peri Peri salsa que era tan caliente y picante que no podía comer! Luego tuvimos de olas en el personal para conseguir un postre (la cerezas tomar un Apple era la única alta) y en realidad salir de nuestros asientos para conseguir la factura. Toda la experiencia fue estresante y significaba que llegamos a nuestros asientos para el concierto, a sólo 2 minutos de sobra a pesar de que llegamos antes de que el restaurante tenía incluso abrieron!

La experiencia fue un poco decepcionante, ya que el resultado de la velocidad del servicio y tener que Chase la cuenta con pocos minutos para ir a la VE día a 70 conciertos.La comida sin embargo era muy bien presentado y era muy bueno.El bar en sí es algo Elgar básica en términos de decoración y ambiente para cenar.También era una tarde soleada y podría haber ayudado a si las persianas habían utilizado para ayudar a la mirada.

Na minha opinião a casa de espetáculos mais linda que existe... A cor avermelhada de suas paredes rende fotos sensacionais...

Ter conhecido o Royal Albert Hall foi uma das experiências mais marcantes das minhas viagens. Desde a arquitetura do teatro (oval) , dos corredores com fotos autografadas de outros artistas que lá se apresentaram lá até a simples experiência de estar presente em um dos mais famosos teatros do mundo. Inesquecível.

he cenado aquí antes y me impresionó mucho, pero el restaurante Coda es muy especial y no demasiado caro comparado con muchos en Londres. Mi esposa y yo elegimos el primer plato [ mucho como un pil pil_nus ] de gambas tuve la carne y mi esposa el pollo, la presentación era excelente y tanto probado maravilloso. El servicio era profesional y amable en general una verdadera experiencia en un entorno maravilloso, así que al menos una hora y media antes del comienzo de la actuación vas a ver. Tenga en cuenta que el restaurante no está abierto al público los titulares entradas para conciertos. Se requiere reserva.

The in box catering by rhubarb was efficient and excellent quality. Great wine!!! Highly recommended.

I wanted seconds it was that good but my daughter didn't allow. It was almost a fight as if I could have had my way seconds or thirds would have been on the cards.The presentation of the main course grilled cod came with poached egg simply one of the most sumptuous pub meals Iv'e had in a long time

Popped in for a pint and a sunday lunch before the football. Lunch was lovely, classic pub grub. Pint was lovely. The atmosphere is mainly men which is fine, i probably wouldn't bring a family in or a girlfriend though.

I keep coming here for a quick pint after shopping at the Sainsbury's close by. German style bar with many seat and good ales on tap. One of my experiences was ruined by a drunk swearing loudly in front of kids, but I will be going again on my stumbles. They have a lot of teapots! Haven't tried the food, but the bar is a good one to sit at.
