The food was amazing and staff always have smiles on their faces! Would recommend to any one, service was quick and always happy with the wait times!

We had visited before and enjoyed the carvery, but disappointed this time with the stingy amount of meat given to us. A very thin piece of turkey and a thin fatty piece of beef. So thin that it was impossible to taste it. Basically £9+for a plate of veg. Atmosphere ok and staff pleasant and helpful, but food very 2nd rate today.

Really nice buffet breakfast, beans and tomatoes could have been warmer as when we went up they had a slight chill on them maybe this was the positioning on the hot plate and tongs could be useful for toast to stop people touching slices they are not using.

Standards have slipped since our last visit. Quite disappointed.

Called in tonight and decided to have a good old fashioned fish and chips as it was Friday. That ranks as one of the best fish and chips I have ever had. The girls that looked after me after I enquired were Ellie and Kelly, top class service can't wait till my next visit.

I have always came here for my lunch carvery and I can not knock it but today we thought we would try the all you can eat breakfast when we got to the counter there wasn't any one around ( i now its self serve ) so we started to put food on our plates there was no sosage waited a min no one there so had to stop a staff member of the floor to ask waited for it to come out went further down the line to see there was no mushrooms no staff about so had to go and look for one she went to tell kitchen so had to wait again by the time they came out with the food that was not there we sat down to eat and our food was cold the only thing on my plate that was hot was the mushrooms it was my first time for breakfast and it will be my last time

Terrible experience today the bar was really slow only two people serving midday on a Sunday. Food was absolutely lovely but the service shocking we came for a birthday meal and supplied a cake. Once the meals were all finished I then informed the bar we was ready for our cake to be brought to us after about 20 minutes and still no cake to be seen I then went to speak to another member of staff to see what the hold up was, she said she will go and sort it as soon as she had cleared the table she was working on so that’s fine. After about another 15 minutes I spoke to another young lady who said ‘I’ll sort it’ and within 2 minutes she has come back to our table and not even trying to be discreet or get my attention says in front of everyone including the person the cake was for (whom it was a surprise for) ‘Do you know what the cake looks like because we have loads’ I then took her to the bar and she come back out with our cake first time so it can’t of been that hard to work out which ours was. She did apologise but it’s just a terrible service. And I ended up doing the cake myself in the end. And after all this we was then pushed to vacate the table as we had the table an hour longer than we originally booked for and I stated to the woman that we would of been gone an hour ago if the service was up to standard and we actually had the cake the first time I asked. We have used this pub of many occasions for meals and it’s always been lovely but today the service was a real let down.

I love coming here. Food is delicious. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

What a great Sunday lunch. Although busy our waitress Olivia was friendly and cheerful,she was very knowledgeable with regards to the menu when it came to the choice of desserts. Thank you Olivia for making our visit enjoyable.

Staff not very attentive We were in a room away from the main restaurant which was lovely as it was private but we also got forgotten about once the food had been brought out. We didn't see anyone else until they cleared plates. No one came in to check on the food etc. We also needed napkins to wrap pieces of birthday cake in but they hadn't got any as a delivery hadn't arrived. You would think been during peak time they would have sent somebody out to get some for that shift!!!! I asked if they had any blue roll in the kitchen we could have but that was refused to. One of the orders was wrong. Everyone else food was lovely including the carvery. The only complaint was the beef was very very fatty.

Diane was amazing looking after us and great with the kids and food was lovely as always.

We love this place, great value for money and hot, fresh carvery vegetables. Diane always looks after us so well and makes a beeline to come and say hello. Will be returning in a few weeks for my birthday 😊 xxx

Disgusting service ever wont be bothering spending my hard earned money again

Carvery is usually ok but last not it was a shambles only one man on who kept having to go In the back to get meat then potato’s then gravey also no beards were covered one chef kept touching his beard and didn’t wash his hands prob won’t be using again it a shame as the other times have been fine apparently there’s a new chef on obviously not very good

The carvey was good. The kids' chicken burger was not. My lad didn't eat it. It was overcooked and dry, and the bun was brittle and fell apart. I really was too tired and fed up with the service to say anything. The waitress was slow, and service was non-existent. Had to search for service. The woman behind the bar was a star and very helpful and addressed the service in place of the young waitress. The woman being mature and having common sense helped. 3 star for service just because of the bar woman. Otherwise, it would be 1 star service. Recommend the carvery for sure.

There was a party of 17 of us, and Livia was our super star server. She was brilliant.

Great service as always. It was busy when we first arrived but as we had a group of 8 we booked in advance and the team here handled it very well. Even with our requests. Our server Olivia went above and beyond. Would recommend to everyone.

Today words can't express the meal was the best ever and the roast potatoes was out of this world I thank you for your excellent service the staff were engaged in conversation the atmosphere was warm and thank you again

Went there today for dinner with the family, had a relly good cavery the beef was tender the girls had chicken nuggets and the wife had a stettson burger with looked great would recommend this to anyone

Came for a Sunday Carvey, food was lovely, fantastic selection. One of the staff (Olivia) was very helpful and assisted our grandparents back to their table and with their food. Thank you Only slight mention is it’s always very hot in here and can make it uncomfortable when eating a hot meal.

I gotta be honest, I'm going back for the staff. One woman in particular (in a black dress and with a butterfly tattoo on her calf) held my attention... I must get her number. But everyone there was very nice indeed. And so was the food.

A fabulous carvery offering different portion sizes. A choice of 3 meats and a great selection of fresh vegetables with gravy and sauces.

We called in for a carvery, there was a bit of a wait but that is expected when the food is decent. . Staff member Olivia was friendly and chatting to us on her lunch break whilst we waited for a table. There was a little hiccup but a member of staff quickly rectified it. Would recommend.

I attended your restaurant today 13/10/2024 1:30pm with my family to celebrate my granddaughters birthday .. our meals where all beautiful the waitress we had was excellent. My only complaint is the gentleman who took our order at the bar I think he may have been the supervisor, he asked if there were any allergies and I told him I was gluten intolerant he then just gave me a tablet and told me to basically sort myself out without explaining what i had to do i felt like I was an inconvenience to him I expected better. I leave this feedback not to cause trouble but to hopefully improve the experience for future customers

They rescued us tonight when every restaurant at merry hill was full and we arrived with 5 hungry kids. Despite being 99% full they squeezed us in and were so kind and helpful. Food was good. Will be back!

We had a brilliant Sunday lunch here recently! We sat in a lovely cosy booth seat and the food was really tasty, hot and lots of choice! My children love the apple fizz drink they do for children and of course the ice cream 😂 All the staff were amazing, always happy and can tell they enjoy their jobs, even on a busy Sunday!

Was ok. We all had the large carvery but didn't get much meat. To be honest we would have had just as much with the smaller carvery. Extra was a sausage and that's not just my opinion, we all said the same. Poor selection of vegetables.used to be a great selection but not now. The guy at the carvery was not very pleasant and when asked for an extra slice of meat was told 'I can't because last time I did that it was stopped out my wages Lady that collected the plates was lovely! So pleasant and friendly and very obliging.

Went for a breakfast and payed extra for mushrooms....there was a very small selection of choose and everything was stone cold ...when the eggs came out they still had clear liquids and were also cold (obviously not cooked long enough ) and other people where also complaining about the coffee coming out the machines cold ( we had pepsi).no napkins or anything for people to use ... this was just after 9 in the morning. Service should be better ...it wasnt like it was later and services are coming to the end of the breakfast rush ...very disappointing

We had a wonderful Cavery today plenty of freshly cooked vegetables to choice from and piping hot to, the meat was cooked to perfection as I like it. Service was 5 🌟 We will be returning in the near future and keep up the good work 👍🏻👏🏻 👏🏻

I was able to book the table easy. We arrived and was seated promtly, by the staff, I found ordering via the QR code a little tricky. However I did have an email with a voucher code but I wasn't quick enough and the order had already gone though. So I went up to the bar and spoke directly with a member of the bar staff and he helped to sort out the order and the drinks for me, as I would have had to wait a while, due to limited members of staff being very busy. The food was very good. My only niggle was that there was not enough staff, especially when the company advertises food deals and if you have excess food that you could not quite finish, I will in future take my own plastic tubs as when I asked my request for a tub was declined as it had been a carvery meal eaten inside and not a take away order. If that is the case then I would suggest you putting that somewhere, so a person could be a ittle more prepared as lots of customers do tend to fill the plates due to the food being delicious, but ofcourse they do tend to leave alot, perhaps if you were to offer a take away tub for a charge for the tub may assist in customers taking the remains home. Unfortunately it will not let me to click on the stars, all of them would be a 4

Alivia was wonderful serving our table. She particularly helped a lady in our party who was in a wheelchair by helping her husband carry her plate. The carvery was fantastic. We ended our meal with a group photo, which Alivia helped use with. It's a beautiful place to eat. The staff are so helpful. We will definitely returning.

Never had an issue before always a pleasant atmosphere, pleasant staff and good food. The carvey only had two selections of veg, green been and carrots which was disappointing! I was waiting my turn and the chefs cutting the meat was more interested in cutting up their own meat before serving me with a que waiting. I wasn't impressed when I saw the girl cutting the beef, there was blood and fat splattering everywhere and it nearly landed on my top! The beef was so undercooked it was unreal. I said to my partner don't have the beef it's far too undercooked! You don't want blood running on your plate with a carvery! The gravy was very watery. The stuffing was undercooked was very sloppy. The lady that served me at the bar was banging the till screen like she really didn't want to be there and was aggressively throwing the ice into the glasses. Just was so off putting and rude to be honest. I ordered a pudding and waited a good 20 minutes for it. I took one bite and it was stone cold. I sent it back and waited another 15 minutes and I just gave up in the end. I was refunded with no questions asked. The waitress with the blonde hair she is so hard working she was rushed off her feet. She is polite and pleasant and deserves a medal for what she doe's. She is a true asset to this place. The other waitress you hardly seen her. She was stood around talking when I was waiting for my pudding to come back. (Served me at the bar) I know Saturday's can be busy but you need more staff on so they won't feel overwhelmed and stressed.

Came for the all you can eat breakfast. Was very quiet but my partner had to wait about 5 minutes at the bar before anyone came to take the order. The decor inside is very tired and in desperate need of a spruce up. Cannot fault the food itself, we have previously been for a carvery before which was also decent quality

Great carvery on the whole. Keisha is such a lovely server, always greets us with a smile and nothing it too small when we need assistance.

Once again headed to our local carvery to escape the rubbish weather & treat ourselves to a carvery, as always the food was perfect & the staff members were lovely, Jordan sat us down at our table she was ever so polite & came to check on us - she also came to our aid when we needed a top up of salt & pepper, usually we wait ages for this sort of thing at other restaurants but Jordan was swift & came right back - she really does go above & beyond ensuring customers are more than satisfied, a true credit to her team. We will be back!

Cracking gaff. Food cures depression. Jordans a delight. Diane should be a supermodel, but makes a fantastic addition to my local. Someone needs to send me ebonies contact details ;). Keisha and emily are annoying but in a really nice, endearing way. Chef Dom belongs in fitness magazines. Never seen anyone rock chef whites like that man. Watching him carve my meat made my mouth water, and i wasnt even looking at my food. Finally, if you get chance to be served by allan, push your way to the front of the queue. You wont be dissatisfied.

Had 2 carverys delivered lots of vegetables if your a vegan,lack of meat wasn't even enough for a 2 year old baby and extras not delivered,rang pub to complain had phone put down twice by rude arragont inexperience staff members who clearly have no personality to be working in retail ,will never use this place again

All you can eat was nice, a little selection but nice quality and fresh. The lady who served us was friendly, attentive and helpful. Asking if we had been before. All these little ones things help. Coffee was average, a little too milky or not enough coffee I couldn't decide but it was far from uneditable. There weren't many people when we arrived but it was busy when leaving.

Great food, friendly staff! Always enjoy a meal here, especially with my little boy! The baby bowl is good value for money and the strawberries and ice cream didn’t disappoint 🙂

Had the large carvery for the extra meat bit of a joke 1 slice of turkey and 1 slice of fat and gristle meant to be beef, stale hard roasters, put in notes no cauliflower cheese and no stuffing they put in both. Will never use this place again.

Been too The Round Oak House In Brierly Hill a few times for a,carvery. Cannot faulter any of it. Choice of three meats and good selection of fresh cooked veg and condiments. Meat always tender and succulant Food always,piping hot and you can help yourself to the veg. Staff on the servery are always polite and professional and smart in appearance and staff waiting on tables very tentitive professional and smart in appearance too. Place is spotlessly clean too. Drinks at bar are very reasonably priced too. Thankyou, too, all in the kitchen preparing and cooking the food.

This place has a lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff I spoke to were friendly, happy and helpful. I came in for 2 too goodto go carveries. What I got was less than I had hoped for but still worth what I paid. There was no gravy so I made some to add to it when I got home.

Carvery was nice, staff friendly and helpful

We have just had the bottomless pizza and cocktail deal which was £30 per person. You get two hours and they bring you whatever cocktail you want and as much pizza as you like there was super friendly and they was very attentive. I would recommend this place any time and we look forward to doing it again at Christmas.
