My friend and I visited Rose Cup for lunch as we prefer to use independent eateries Glad we did! I had a lovely bowl if soup, hot and tasty, with a fresh half baguette. My only complaint would be it came with a spread that was not butter. My tea was served in a pot, fresh and tasty. It’s not a large cafe but there is a variety of places to sit, sofas, small tables and larger ones that could fit a party. Highly recommended if you want a light lunch. Large unisex loo.

We initially passed this cafe by only to find the usual high street suspects as alternatives.Glancing beyond the condensation on the windows, we found a clean interior with cheerful proprietor.Observing the beyond breakfast cooking time, we found roast meat baguettes on the menu.Being busy, we did have to wait around 10 minutes, but baguettes filed with pulled pork, stuffing and apple sauce did arrive. All hot, with cutlery, we began to work our way through these. We did find the baguettes large and the filling was extremely salty, but the meat was good honest roast pork - thank you. This cafe is a good venue for locals to meet, refresh and rest, chatting away to one another. It was very busy today. Staff make sure everyone is well catered for - and that we do remember which tea pot does have that decaffeinated tea inside it!There are also a range of fresh-looking sponge cakes available on display. No fewer than 5 food safety certificates are displayed, along with a food hygiene certificate attached to the fridge at the counter. All that said, there are no toilets that we saw. The 5* hygiene rated sign rear was covered with mould, immediately in front of us in the steamed-up window. To the staffs' immense credit, this cafe is freshly decorated, cheerful and happy and rather an oasis in Coalville at the moment.

I frequently visit this cafe with my husband and toddler. It’s a wonderful warm place with lovely staff. The food is traditional, home cooked and excellently priced. They are so flexible with my daughter’s meals as well and will give her anything from the menu in miniature for a good price. It seems to mainly cater for an older clientele, but it has such a great vibe to it. We love it!

I visited the Rose Cup for a cup of tea with a friend and we were particularly underwhelmed by our experience. The place was extremely quiet yet service was at a snails pace. The tea was okay but tasted like a cheap brand which I didn't expect in a tea room. There was plenty of space to sit but the furnishings were cheap and uncomfortable. I glanced over the food menu and noticed it was expensive for what was on offer. Overall I won't bother with this place again in the future as I can make a better brew at home.

Not that many tea rooms in Coalville but this one is still lovely and worth a visit. Good for variety of things but coffee and cake very good-generous portions!

A very nice trip to the Grey Goose with my son and daughter October 27th. We all had the carvery which was excellent and plentiful. The owner was very pleasant to talk to and took time to chat. Thanks for the present as well 😉. Recommend a visit here and look forward to returning again soon. Regards from Geordie 👍🏻

We shared the pizzas and salad! The chocolate brownie for dessert is always a good shout! Affordable dining! The drinks are ok but the food we’ll always come back for! A great selection of Vegan and GF too. There is no parking, but can park in Tescos or Sainsburys or down one of the side streets. The staff are always incredible here!!

Absolute fools, just went into the shop then, £12 for some greasy chicken and chips and cash only!! You can KFC for £8... They literally couldn't care less and wanted me to do all the leg work to give them MY money, unhelpful was like " don't like don't eat". Genuinely never experienced such a poor customer experience for what is essentially a poor man's low level kebab shop charging more than gourmet Turkish kebab shops do. Why any of you locals support this business is beyond me.

Lovely pizza but ridiculous prices. Even with a big one get one free it was £40 for two pizzas and a small chips and garlic bread!
