Visited the amazing Robin Hood and Little John pub on my birthday last week for the first time since my birthday last year. We used to visit the pub every week as it has been our favourite pub for a few years and would drink the wonderful Harvey's Sussex beer and also enjoy the excellent food at lunchtime. You won't get a better cooked Full English Breakfast anywhere. We decided to move to the Medway area last year to be closer to our daughter who had moved there. The thing that we knew we would miss the most would be this brilliant family run pub and this has proven to be the case. We do not know anywhere else that you get excellent real ale and food and it was so good to see Tony again who was as welcoming and friendly as ever. Although it is extremely difficult in terms of time and cost for us to visit now, we have decided that we are going to start visiting again much more regularly. We will be back again in the new year.

We visited friends in Izane Road following the devastating loss in a terrible fire of the traditional village pub we owned in rural Wiltshire. We called into The Robin Hood, obviously not in the best frame of mind but this little pub helped us to forget our troubles for a while. It is a lovely “village pub” with a fantastic friendly atmosphere and just how a pub should be. Had we a pub to go back to we would have taken plenty of ideas with us particularly the signs in the gents. Thanks so much and keep up the good work your pub is a rare gem these days. All the very best for the future.

Visiting sister we were taken along to this excellent pub that has become a regular lunchtime stop off for them. Reminded me of the pub I used to work in years ago that was the centre of the village and where everyone was friendly. Greeted by the lovely landlord who went out of his way to make us complete strangers so welcome. The food was also fantastic, generous portions and a menu that looked achievable but interesting. All ordered different meals and all were excellent. Sister is just recovering from a major illness and can’t eat a huge meal. Her needs were catered for in a very lovely way that in no way made her look fussy or made to feel awkward. Only downside for us…..it’s two and a half hours away! Can’t wait to return and try the pasta dishes that we have heard so much about

Booked in for dinner on a Tuesday evening for 4 people. Service was second to none. Food seriously delicious and a few drinks to go with the meal were great. We have started to make our Tuesday evening visit a regular thing but usually only have drinks, we pre booked our meal a few weeks in advance as meals are usually only served at lunch times. We are so glad we did, we were cooked a very special pasta dish with slow cooked lamb, the meat was so soft and tasty and full of flavour. Our compliments to the chef Katrina. The service we were provided by Tony was outstanding. We look forward to our weekly drinks but now we will be looking forward to pre booking a meal also. Can’t wait to try the next dish!

My family and I have been shielding since February 2020 but decided as the weather was nice, to visit an old favourite. On arrival we wore our masks and were greeted by the staff, Tony and Katrina and shown out to the garden area to a lovel table, complete with parasol. The staff were amazing and welcomed us like family. All staff had either masks or visors which helped to make us feel safe, as we were a little anxious. Our orders were taken and the food arrived - The food was amazing hot, fresh and tasty and we were asked at intervals if we needed more drinks ect. I cannot say how wonderful this first meal out was and it made us feel as though, after such a long time, that we were getting our normal back. we have enjoyed the food and experience so much that we now go once a week, which my special needs son, so thoroughly enjoys and it is so wonderful that this lovely pub/restaurant is still thriving - Thank you all Ray Katrina Tony and staff -

Hidden away in a back street of Bexleyheath, this is a traditional family run pub of a kind that was once commonplace just a few decades ago but is now becoming somewhat a rarity. It was originally a Courage house - we know that as it still sports the illuminated red cockerel sign that was once a familiar sight all across England and Wales. The pub doesn't appear to have changed much since its Courage days, except that it now has a much more exciting range of ales on offer, mainly from smaller independent breweries, and some local. Food is served Monday-Saturday lunchtimes. It isn't fine dining but they offer a decent range of reasonably priced pub meals, including steaks, fish & chips, omelettes, burgers, sandwiches, various other snacks plus a few specials. I enjoyed a very good Christmas dinner here for £10.95, with nice turkey, not too dry, and well prepared roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. As you would guess, clientele comprises mainly of locals, but as someone visiting for the first time, I was warmly welcomed by staff. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, it has a real fire as well. This is the sort of place that you wish was your local.

Traditional English pub. Been there a few times and always made welcome. Food is very good, only complaint it is probably too much! Good selection of beers and lagers.

I used to go for pre club drinks with my friend every Saturday. Our beer of choice was a Doombar and it was always served perfectly. I have now moved away from the area to SE19 and have been so for three years now. I really miss the local charm of this pub, the main draw for us was that there was a zero tolerance to idiots (really don't know how we got away with being there!) and the landlord was refreshingly independeny and old school. So if you are in the area, I would definately say go in for a pint!

We went in with friends on Christmas eve. Nice clean olde worlde pub with a good selection of ales including tasty Ghostship. We had a great night and even though it got very busy with a great atmosphere we still managed to get served with a smile by the pleasant bar staff. Certainly not my first time in there and certainly not my last.

Visited for a Christmas lunch with the family. We had pre-booked the table and enjoyed a pre Christmas roast. Staff were very friendly and the open fire was a welcomed touch. Full of regulars as everyone knew each other but if you’re looking for a relaxed smaller pub this one is lovely.

Fabulous pub with great beers, friendly welcoming staff, this is one of the old pubs were you can go for a drink and chat and not have loud music bashing your ears.

My first visit but very impressed. Comfortable without being pretentious, great menu and (for those interested) good real ale selection too. I just went for a French stick but this was fine. The pasta special was tasty I believe - and the omelette was served with a very generous portion of chips and salad. Many other tasty-looking options too. AND reasonably priced.

We were a bit disappointed that this nice pub did not live up to the reviews. My steak, chips and peas was very nice but my partner said that his stew and dumplings was a bit too salt. Beer was good though 😃

We visit each time my son comes to stay because it it a good old fashioned local pub a 10 mim walk from our house. It gives us an opportunity to sit and enjoy a drink and a chat in a relaxed atmosphere. Food is good and they have lots of choice. only criticism is they keep old pub opening hours which is a bit limiting.

We popped into this pub for a quick lunch. There's plenty of indoor seating but as it was a hot, sunny day, we ate in the outside garden. There were quite a few people there who seemed to be regulars. The sandwiches we chose were made to order and were fresh as was the salad which comes as standard with sandwich orders. It was disappointing though that the bread was ready sliced and my brown bread sandwich was made with just plain wholemeal, not seeded. Apart from that a nice pub with friendly staff.

We had afternoon tea ordered for collection on Mother’s Day including one for a child. The teas were superb and had sandwiches, scones, beautiful cakes, teas and cutlery. We chose this cafe as lots of people are offering afternoon teas on fb during lockdown but using cakes from supermarkets - I could make that myself! The cakes included cheesecake, Victoria sponge and cupcakes. Would definitely recommend.

My daughter and I have been brunching here regularly for more than two years. It really is the most wonderful place. The staff, mainly Lithuanian and Polish, are kind, funny, helpful. Just a delight to be around. The glamorous Russian owner is chatty and charming. The food itself is simply of the highest quality. It's all home-cooked to order so takes a little longer than your average cafe, but well worth it. The Bexley breakfast - or as they sometimes jokingly call it, the Brexit breakfast - gives the full English a new meaning. My daughter has had the Eggs Benedict and the Eggs Florentine and raves about both. You simply don't get this kind of quality service and exotica in the suburbs as a rule. Just wish the premises were a TINY bit bigger. I love this place, though. Love it.

What a great place for food! We had the breakfast and it was very very good, they are very accommodating for dietary requirements and the food is fresh and tasty! The staff are super friendly and the children enjoyed their lollipops when leaving! Definitely worth a visit for a good brekkie
