The Roaring Meg Harvester in Stevenage

Such a shame Harvester is closing, but I’m very glad the team will be back when the place reopens as Miller & Carter. And what a brilliant team it is! Everyone welcomes us warmly and goes to great lengths to ensure we have an excellent visit. The food is always great and the service is spot on - not in your face but there’s always someone there when you need them. Really looking forward to being able to go back in May.

My wife and i went on Friday 08/03. on a whim as we were at a loose end Adam was our server which turned out to be a big bonus. really friendly and humorous guy. Which we appreciated. Top marks Food as always was good, Shame the place is shutting down and i hope the staff are going to be offered new jobs at the new restaurant. Would have gone for the final week but we will be in Cyprus, so we can't. (have a drink for us Adam!!) Good luck in the future for all the staff.

Thank you to Adam and Brandon our servers, for making us feel welcomed, both were so helpful and attentive, we ordered the Ribeye and a large mix grill and the steaks were cooked to perfection as well as everything else on the plate, thank you Ellis, Cameron and Millie 5 stars. Why did we bother. Met up with family during half term. Initially waiting about 1/2 hour for our booking as extra member joined us, bar was pleasant as were the staff. Shown to our table and before we’d taken our coats off, asked if we were ready to order. Then left us for 15+ minutes before returning to take our order. Asked for children’s activity packs. Food came and it was very mediocre, but palatable. Burger was tasty, but chips although hot, were like cardboard. Used bathrooms. Floors were filthy. Dropped a tomato and went to pick it up from the floor. Under the table, we’re crumbs and bits of bread, gathered up tomato and the serviette, was darkened by the floor.

Outstanding service and the food was delicious! And a thank you to Agnes and Marina being patient with my indecisiveness and being so welcoming, food was delicious and fast service. Would recommend this place to anyone passing by so welcoming and great for a family lunch!

Enjoyed a tasty lunch with friends at Roaring Megs, Stevenage. Service by Adam who was really helpful and friendly and food provided by Neil,Alfie and Ellis was excellent.

Great food and great service. Members of staff were polite and couldn’t do enough to make our visit the best it could be. Brandon was a great waitress who made sure we were pleased. Our food was cooked to perfection by Rennele, Jack and Niel.

Parking good, no atmosphere and chilly. Our server was great but sadly let down by the food, waited nearly 45 minutes for mains and when it did eventually arrive the steak was cold and the peppercorn sauce was really cold , told server and he took it back. After another 20 minutes it was served and the sauce was still cold which was replaced again, by this time my daughter had already eaten her meal. We were here for 2 1/2 hours for just a main course , sorry but will not be back anytime soon.

The most awful place , dark, cold. Staff are rude and very unprofessional, got the bill wrong twice. The staff who served us was very rude and never smiled. Food was awful. Better eat elsewhere for the money we paid.

Today's visit was made by our waitress Agnes. She was friendly, patient (with our indecision) and helpful and always had a smile Nothing was too much trouble. The salad was fresh and a good variety. Our food arrived quickly original combo and dirty bird burger. Chicken was juicy and the ribs had just enough sauce corn was a bit soggy but still good. The dirty bird burger was massive! Sweet potato fries were lovely, not greasy at all. Mini Sunday and coffee was a perfect end but the waffle with ice-cream following the burger almost beat my sister. Lovely visit

Lovely. We hadn't booked but the lovely manageress fit us in. We had a lovely meal, the rotisserie chicken was the best I'd had anywhere, salad was constantly topped up, and nothing was too much trouble for our kind waitress. Really gutted I don't live nearer to this branch or I would visit frequently!

Had such a lovely breakfast today @Harvester. We love going there - as our monthly family get together. Agnes is absolutely amazing, she is so lovely! There is always about 12 of us, wanting all different choices - and Agnes always gets it spot on!
