The Rising Sun in Caerphilly

This place does nice fresh dishes, I only wish they delivered.

It's cash only, they don't deliver and they're not on the food delivery apps but the food and service is five star. Polite, friendly, hygienic and the food is consistently good. When you reorder a dish you like it'll be just like it was the last time. Timed pickups are never more than 10-15 minutes late when they are busy (from my experience). Definitely worth the compromise of cash only and takeaway only. I am very fortunate to live just a few minutes walk away and phone through my order when they open for pickup later that evening.

We frequently order from The Rising Sun and the food is excellent every time. We love their Hong Kong style Sweet & Sour Chicken and their Chow Mein. The portions are large and the food is always piping hot. Friendly service and a clean shop. The only negative for us is the fact that it is cash only, but it won't stop us from going back.

Absolutely disgusting food. No flavour to the bbq sauce and the curry sauce tasted like a smart price curry jar. What a waste of nearly £30 myself and sister spent

Yep jest picked up a meal from there and it's very nice as I.v came to expect as I.v had a few meals now and never had a bad one so give them a try 👍

Shambles, Time slot was 8.30 pick up and it's now 25 mins later with no joy. Cars mounting up outside in the turning point because of so many people waiting so keep an eye out because a accident is going to happen

Amazing food great quality amazing staff

I called and placed my order and was given a collection time of 7:35pm. I got there 7:30pm to be told by a lovely couple waiting that they only cooked the order when you arrived and paid, and they had been waiting half an hour. I went in to pay, where 12 people at any one time were waiting. As soon as one left another one or two came in. 45 minutes later I received my order!!! Absolute shambles and nothing to do with covid as they were allocating collection times!! No track and trace either and only caah payments

Gorgeous food. King Prawn Omelette, Chicken with Cashew Nuts, House Special Chow Mein and Special Fried Rice all fabulous (not necessarily all at once 😉).
