A couple of months ago i was invited for a night out to see a musician friend of mine perform at a local venue in Bradford west yorkshire.On the way to Bradford i dropped by a place i know in Huddersfield "The Rising Sun"..This place used to be always packed with lots of music, food, and friendly faces. However "Rising Sun" was sadly now reduced to barely more than a local bar with the occasional dominoes tournament dance. So i continued my journey onwards to Bradford Yorkshire. After the enjoyable Live music session ended, the group of us including the friend we went there to support were all invited to finish the night off down the road at another local nightspot called "Ivory" on Thornton street.. When we got to this nightspot it seemed much like any other, couple of security guys on the door, a few stragglers hanging around outside but pretty peaceful so we went in.. Inside the atmosphere was comfortable, with two floors providing a nice mixture of hypnotic Reggae, dancehall, and funk music..Everyone seemed to be in there for a good time, as you would expect at a Pre Valetines night out. Everyone in our group was handed a complimentary drink (including myself who is a non alcoholic) (i had a can or two of Pepsi). This place felt good to be in that night, no trouble, nobody seemed too drunk or any problem and almost everyone was dancing and having a good time. The Bar was busy but still easy to get a drink. Its a place id visit again. Yep so give it try id say. Good DJs great music. No trouble on that night anyway...
