Great beer garden, large pub, always a first choice for us to meet at. Always got a busy atmosphere and summers couldn't be spent anywhere else

Not visited The Richmond for a little while & an impromptu visit on a recent Friday left me pleasantly happy. Arrived around 6.30, it was comfortably busy, with a good local pub atmosphere & looked tidier than I remembered from my last visit. The age range of clientele also seemed a little older, which probably helped with the overall atmosphere. Secured a table in the corner & spent a pleasant couple of hours. Good selection of drinks at competitive prices. Didn’t eat on this visit, perhaps next time.

Just taking the opportunity to wish all the hard working staff at the Richmond a huge happy thank you for making our Xmas! I went for Christmas Day lunch, along with 7 friends and had a brilliant and very seasonal time. On arrival, we were greeting through the door and shown to our appropriately festive table, glasses of Prosecco, chilled and ready to flow. The atmosphere in the pub was magical, all the staff were really into the spirit of the day and their focus on providing service impeccable! Our orders for dining were beautifully prepared and served to with perfect timing. 10 of of 10 experience, will definitely book again for next year. Thank you Lizzy, Danny, Chloe, Georgiana and Marie for you excellent hosting, and thanks to the guys in the kitchen, Ib & Killian for your hard work ing the kitchen, you fed a lot of customers that day and all of your food was delicious!

Welcomed really nicely staff where friendly and helpful, food was cooked to perfection. Especially the roast potatoes. I’ve been a regular customer at The Richmond, the past 7 years and compared with days of old, the pub has improved enormously. I love the friendly atmosphere, the extremely efficient bar staff and kitchen. I eat out regularly and the food here never disappoints. It’s all good and reflects how much effort Lizzie and her team put in and however busy, the service is always excellent.

very good place to watch the rugby and have some drinks. Amy at the bar was very helpful and kind which made the customer experience even better.

Came here at the weekend with a group of friends and had a really lovely night. The team were friendly and helpful even though it was incredibly busy they seemed to be short staffed but the red haired lady who served us was really lovely! We will be back!

Despite scaffolding outside due to ongoing work, entrance was a little bit daunting. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and eating an early dinner. Staff were above and beyond helpful to us. Food was very reasonable and we thought excellent quality. Lizzie went out of her way to provide our 2 grandchildren with coloring stuff. Set up our night for the Meyrick Park event in a great way.

I had the most fantastic vegan nuggets ever alongside a pint of cider poured beautifully by Kitt, she served me with a lovely smile and amazing attitude, I will be coming back for her service. Thankyou Kitt!!

The food here is top tier and they have a great selection of beers I recommend the beef burger with chorizo

Came in with a few friends for drinks and a meal. I had the fish and chips, it was so big I almost couldn’t finish it all! Service was very quick! The staff are very helpful and made sure I found a drink I liked.

Fantastic service from Lizzy and the team. We had a table for 7 and were given a table inside but with a cool breeze from the garden which was much appreciated given the hot weather. Food was delicious and brought to our table promptly. We had burger, fish and chips, scampi and off the children’s menu sausage all we would recommend. Many thanks to the two chefs who must have been working in very hot conditions. Would highly recommend a visit.

Visited recently early Saturday evening. As usual pub atmosphere was good & staff both friendly & efficient. You can also see staff are efficient throughout the pub, clearing & tidying tables where necessary. Have visited several times before todays visit for drinks, but today decided to have some of the tapas dishes to share, along with some fries. They were okay & probably what you would expect. Main letdown was the squid which was barely warm. However, overall everything was ok. I’ve given a 3, but 31/2 would probably be fairer.

We popped in for a quick bite - with shall we say low expectations of some ‘pub grub’ … we ordered tapas 3 were an ample light lunch for two and they were awesome!! Sorry no pics we cleared our plates!! But will be back!! Thank you!
