The Rhu Inn in Argyll & Bute

Absolute hidden gem. Food is great, staff are lovely, and the ambience is a lovely mixture of comfortable and traditional local pubs. Great for gluten-free coeliac as well which is surprising for a pub. Gf desert options could be improved is only suggested improvement.

Absolutely worth a visit. The food was superb as was the drink. Old fashioned bar with plenty of seating and first class service. I'm booking a room the next time I'm up. Finally it has to be the cleanest place I've ever been with not one single peice of litter to be seen on the roads. If you're in the vacinity don't miss it. I'll be back.

We all enjoyed an overnight stay, the rooms were very comfortable and staff attentive. The Breakfast was good and included in price which was reasonable. Beautiful view out of the Superior room over to Rhu Bay. Would stay again.

From the minute we arrived Lou looked after us till the minute we left Lou gave excellent customer service throughout our stay We had dinner on arrival which was delicious & like wise the breakfast was great, nothing was a bother for Lou Room was excellent very modern & spotlessly clean Thanks for making our stay very welcoming defo be back Mark & Shirley

We are locals and used to go to the Rhu Inn a lot because it was friendly and a fun place to be so imagine our surprise when we got told to stop laughing one evening !!! We were too loud !! And we are not the first to be told to stop having a nice time ...no wonder most of the locals who used to frequent the pub have stopped going....the owners don't wAnt the locals in there any more ...we do not feel welcome at all ..so like many others we don't !!!!

Delicious food, enjoyed the steak pie and sticky toffee pudding. Would definitely recommend.

Hidden gem - if only we knew sooner Best roast dinner within a ten mile radius! The roast beef was immense, the gravy was out of this world. Service was great with a warm welcome. Cozy atmosphere with the fireplace roaring and decorated to highlight autumn 🍂. Can't wait to go back

We came up for a 50th party nearby. The Rhu Inn was perfectly placed for us, just a short walk away. We had a warm welcome, and lovely room that was spotless, and had a comfy bed. We both enjoyed our breakfast in the morning that truly set us up for our days travel back home. We will definitely be staying again on our next visit to Helensburgh.

Nice place,good food and fantastic views but on main road, great rooms and people,little noisy for us old timers

Stayed for a night with our dog to kick off a Scottish road trip. The room was clean and well appointed with a wonderful view overlooking the water. The staff were so friendly, warm, and inviting! We had a few pints and a delicious meal as well. There was live music that evening but we were tired from driving up from Oxford so opted for an early night in after dinner. The music was barely audible from the room and didn’t bother us in the least. All around a great stay with no complaints!

Cozy and modern pub for the whole family - including the dogs. You will find all the Scottish pub favourites on the menu - The sea bass made my day with generous portion of rice and veggies. Absolutely loved it. Friendly and attentive staff

The definition of a hidden gem, so glad we came here it’s a lovely traditional little pub with modern decor. The food was absolutely delicious - you can really taste that it’s all been freshly prepared! The staff were so friendly and service was brilliant, we really felt well looked after. Thank you so much for a lovely Sunday lunch, we will absolutely be back 🌟

Great place to visit and go sailing.

The rhu Inn is a great pub and restaurant. We have a lovely evening. Congratulations to the chief for this great food well cooked. Good choices of drink. Good people to meet. Highly recommend.

Great place. Great view. Great & friendly staff. Had fish finger ciabatta with chips. Large portion very filling. Had apple crumble with ice cream and custard - food of the gods!!! Large portion tasted amazing, washed down with Joker IPA. Food amazing. Very cossy pub with navy memorabilia for decor and a warm, welcoming back area with sunny skylight. Recommend popping in if out for a drive, or meeting for lunch or dinner.
