What a gorgeous little community hub! I needed somewhere to sit and work with WiFi and a plug for the day whilst I waited for my son doing an activity in the area. I found this little place the night before on google maps, and gave it a go. I’m so happy I did, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and through the day could see how integrated into the community they are, with people popping in and a constant stream of business. I had a perfectly cooked breakfast, the bacon was amazing, and a few coffees, which were very good and the price was reasonable. This business deserves some good recognition for their inclusivity as well. One example being a little boy who came in very excited to give a gift to the staff from his holiday. The little boy was autistic, and the staff engaged him so well, gave him the time of day and made him a special hot choc whilst having a lovely chat with him and his mum. Well done to you all and keep up the hard work you clearly put in. Thank you for having me!

I can't explain how lovely this coffee shop is! The staff are friendly, kind and courteous and it's evident they're interested in their customers when they walk through the door. The food is always freshly prepared/cooked. They cater for V, VE and GF throughout their menu and you won't leave hungry! Coffee is probably the best in Bromsgrove and I've probably tried them all over time! Their milkshakes are to die for and again freshly made with a choice of dairy or non dairy milks. If you haven't tried their Cronuts, you're missing out & the recent addition of GF & V sweet treats is a huge plus in my opinion. All walks of life walk through the door of this coffee shop and they are all greeted like they're the priority. I've been to most coffee shops in bromsgrove but this one is the best for price, quality of food & friendliness. I think its always important to support local - you won't be disappointed with The Retreat!

We had a lovely breakfast and flat white coffee here today. Sat outside with our dog, although it is dog friendly inside too. Friendly and helpful staff. Do takeouts too!

Me and the wife caught a taxi there mainly for the garden centre, thought we would have a breakfast first?? As it was only 1 minute before they swapped menu for lunch time it just wasn't what we wanted at this time. We were hungry but it just did not a dinner. The garden centre was also a let down. There reason for most of it closed was to early in the year ? We returned home and went to the local centre were it all was open.
