Total lack of staff made the experience a nightmare.Not accepting cash because they have no change is just poor management BY management.Mr order was wrong and I was charged for someone else's cream tea ON TOP of our order...had to get a refund.....just paying for your food here is a nightmare.The staff are poorly trained (not their fault).Bad management of this food "Hub" makes for a dystopian nightmarish dining experience.....positively Kafkaesque.....not good at all........AVOID

Management - What management ? Service - Terrible Food - diabolical Drinks - Dish water ( drinks vending machine was dispensing carbonated water) Atmosphere - Dead Cleanliness - health hazard (Tables uncleared, spilt drinks on floors and tables and uneaten food everywhere. Staff morale at an all time low, with them running around like headless chicken when massively understaffed. The worst bit was when staff complained that nobody listens to them at Head Office and how they are treated like slaves and paid next to nothing. Was even told they hadn’t had a pay increase in nearly 2 years. After paying £29 for a meal for two people, which arrived cold after 25 minutes of waiting, we asked for a refund and was refused because there was no manager or supervisor available. Hence the review. We went to McDonald’s around the corner in the end where the food was hot, surroundings clean and half the price Avoid Avoid Avoid

Came to try again as keep hoping this place will sort itself out. Today there is a new assistant manager Mark. Harry Ramsdens chips with bread and butter ordered along with two coffee's. Food arrived, chips cold and stale bread. Informed staff and all returned. Fresh chips came out much better. Sadly bread still arrived stale. Spoke with Mark this time as this cannot keep happening. Staff are not listening to their paying customers!. Fresh bread out again.... still stale come on guys this is not hard. Mark I really hope you make a difference here and soon as this has been a very long problem. 2 complimentary coffees appreciated. Please make a difference.

Tried to get Harry Ramsdens fish and chips.......was told no diet cokes left....went to the fridge and grabbed 2....then told I couldn't pay cash...had to use card which I hate doing .....food arrived ok.....tiny plates of the most deformed fish and chips I've ever seen....fish was horrible.....rubbery,tasteless and very badly cooked,chips not much better........the whole place is terminally understaffed and the staff try to do their best but will fail in a work environment like this......won't be using the so called chaotic "food hub" again.......the old cafe/canteen was much better and of a higher quality than the junk food on sale now.....staff 9/10 .....food 1/10.....experience 0/10

Every weekend since the restaurant opened we would have a late family lunch after our weekend shop. Mostly we go for the Harry Ramsdens fish and chips as it’s very nice however not that cheap for what you get on those small plates! My daughter likes the sausage in batter but they’ve stopped serving it for some reason so she either has normal sausage or has the chicken from the other restaurant or something from Leon. On this occasion I ordered fish and chips but when it came they said there was no vinegar. I don’t know about you but I have to have salt and vinegar with my fish and chips. It’s a treat and I wouldn’t want it any other way. Waited about 25 minutes while my food got cold thinking the staff would go buy a bottle from the supermarket which was on site but to my surprise they kept me hanging until I went and asked what was going on. They said they had run out and couldn’t help me. I wasn’t very happy and said I wanted a refund which they wouldn’t give me. Waited another 15 minutes for one of the staff to provide me with an email address to complain after speaking to someone more senior on the phone. Why should I buy the vinegar, how can you serve fish and chips and have no vinegar. This is the great world famous Harry Ramsdens fish and chips! Harry would be turning in his grave! 2 of the staff members were extremely rude. The girl was more interested about her wages being docked if she provided a refund rather than proper customer service. Well it’s there loss as there loosing between £220 and £240.00 a month just from me and my family not eating there every weekend. Such a shame they were not willing to accommodate. Pass the vinegar mate!

I visited here for lunch with my daughter and was utterly disappointed. The place is disorganised, chaotic, and massively short staffed. At lunchtime (being the busiest period of the day), there were two members of front line staff working, one taking orders and making the drinks with the other practically running around the restaurant serving the food. I waited 20 minutes just to get a latte and pay for a prepackaged sandwich. The restaurant area was dirty, crockery was piled high on an area near the trays and tables had not been cleared. There appeared to be a manager having a meeting at this time which given the state of the place should have been lending a hand! Not a good experience.
