The Regency Club in Brent

My husband and I came here and drove over an hour and arrived very hungry. We were a little early but were seated right away and drinks orders taken. We started with the garlic Mogo and okra fries and they were delicious! I had the chicken kahari and my husband had the mixed grill. I loved my curry it was full of flavour. My husband said the mixed grill was ok but the lamb in the middle tasted a bit mushy. Overall I really enjoyed it and would return. Only negative was the toilets were pretty gross and needed a deep clean.

Had heard a lot about how good food at Regency was. Must say it wasn’t just good but absolutely fantastic.

Visited Regency after many years. Food was atrocious, all the dishes tasted the same as they were in the same sauce. Starter cashew nibbles were straight out of a packet. The waiter constantly came to our table giving us a countdown of the time we had left for our table. No meat or alcohol but still served with a £180 bill !!!! Absolutely terrible service and have the audacity to charge an 'optional' service charge!!!! Will never eat at this restaurant EVER again. Accordingly, advise all to stay away too.

The food has always been good - just a word of caution and also to the son who has taken over - do not buy the stuffed jalapeños with cream cheese from Costco and pass them off on your menu - it’s lazy and frankly not in keeping with the rest of the items on your menu. The chicken we ordered didn’t have to two chilli 🌶️ next to it but was very spicy - again, use a little common sense. On the whole the meal was okay - pricey - this does not bode well in the long term. Also Ibrahim could do with a lesson in how to smile ;) On the whole - okay - I personally will not go there again - value for money 👎

Always a warm welcome by the entrance. Told had to vacated in one hour forty five as restaurant is busy. That’s fine we said. Quick service. No papadams at this restaurant and bottled mint sauce and some other mint. I cannot believe how a lamb bhuna has become £14.25 without rice it’s astonishing. I like to order two small sides but had to have two main which is too much for me. A aloo curry was £10.25 come on how has this happened a sack of potatoes is still a reasonable food to buy. My lentil curry was also £10.25 whoooo lentils have got expensive. The food was very good and no problem with it. However for a meal for two with a few beers £74 I will have to think again at eating out in Indian restaurants. I cannot justify these prices. Keep for special occasions.

Good quality Indian food. We went after watching football at Wembley Only 10 minutes can ride. Highly recommend it.

Awful service and food…this was my second visit. I had a poor experience on my first visit last year and I thought I would give them a second opportunity. The naan was burnt, we asked the staff for a replacement and by the time it came the rest of the food was cold. We informed the staff who shrugged their shoulders. The chicken and lamb curries tasted of tomatoes with no taste of masala’s. Please please please don’t waste your money here! All they are interested in is taking your cash. The service was poor, the food was tasteless and it was definitely not value for money !!!

Sadly, even with the good flavours that I have enjoyed over the decades, it is now time to address the elephant in the room. The price has become simply extortionate. The mix grill was £25 and it simply was 5 chicken tikka peices, 5 lamb tikka peices and 2 lamb kebabs. This used to cost far less. The curry prices are equally expensive for what you get. I just paid for meal that cost £100 that cosissted of 2 curries, a mix grill, 3 naan and 1 rice. I feel that this once loved regular has gone down the wrong path and priced out the people who helped to make it popular. Pity, they used to make great food but the cost leaves a sour taste.

An old Indian working mans club. -Drab colours and polished brass.. Service was semi attentive. Had to wait a while before getting drinks.. but food arrived promptly. The non tandoori food was a little bit oily. The chicken tikka was very good. -We didnt try the wings, but heard they are amazing as well. Breads (roti and naan) also very good. Almond kulfi was authentic, being sweet and creamy. Prices arent bad, but wish they added service in the bill. -Just makes thinking about tipping less of a chore. If im in the area at dinner time again, I will definitely be stopping by.

We are visiting London for a family wedding. My wife is Gujurati but born in Kenya so the Regency Club, an Indian restaurant with Kenyan influence was recommended we had to check it out. The place was hopping busy. The staff were all pleasant and we arrived late enough that many were ready to leave so we got a table pretty quick. The food was great. We had a selection of starters and mains that were all incredibly great. And it has a great beer, wine and cocktail selection with the them of East Africa firmly in mind. I had the Rum Chai which was grand. A Kuncan Sling was also delicious as a cocktail. For starters we had chicken wings, lamb chops, crispy Bajya's, Cassava, and more. For mains we had two different lamb dishes, chicken dishes and some vegetarian. Rice and Naan also came and in the end it was truly delicious. highly recommended

Not the same without Pankaj and with the change, check the prices and ABVLack of engagement with guest when we paying top dollar for food and drinks its not cheap. One word of advice don’t get complacent and think you got customers for ever !!

I telephoned to make a booking and explained that I would bring my two children. The woman I spoke with said they are fully booked between 3 and 5pm. I walked in and the restaurant had 6 people eating. I was told they don't serve food between 3 and 6pm and that children are not allowed! As we walked off I politely mentioned my conversation with the lady I spoke with. I was rudely interrupted by a waiter who had trouble speaking English and said I should leave immediately. I very calmly walked out and thought this place needs a thorough check by immigration and HMRC. The owner must be big headed to employ staff who can't converse and have a typical Indian/Kenyan mentality. Very poor service and attitude.

I frequently dine at Regency with family and friends for the past 16 years and I can safely say the food quality is of high standard and it’s consistent. I’ve dined at numerous Indian restaurants, but regency has to be number 1 for me and my family. I went with my family yesterday. The food and ambience was really good. Our waiter Akshay also provided really good service! I highly recommend this place if you fancy authentic Indian food.

Coming back after many years, the experience started off well, the food was great however we felt let down with the service. We felt like we were rushed to finish our dinner due to the 2 hour time slot and we were not even finished and still wanted to order dessert and the waitor gave us our bill and told us we had to go as the next table was waiting. I understand the time limit but I have not been anywhere that actually kicks you out before you have finished your meal. I was very disappointed in this.

We visited on our way to Wembley for a concert. The menu is varied and we both enjoyed our meals. Our waiter was attentive and efficient. I loved the lychee martini signature cocktail! Off the beaten track but wouldn't hesitate to visit again when going to a concert.

Best Indian food in london and perhaps the world - amazing tandoori and bbq food and curries to die for!

We went after many years for a birthday and had a great time overall. We were impressed they had a separate vegan/no onion garlic menu as this made it easier for some of the guests and was one of the reasons we booked this place. On the whole the food was fine except we requested the rajma curry to be made vegan and no onion/garlic. The waiter advised us that it could be either vegan or no onion/garlic but not both. He was not able to explain why the no onion/garlic one was not vegan. Upon our request he went to ask if the chef could make him the requested dish but the chef declined to do this. Really disappointed in this and I felt embarrassed that my guest had to go hungry. Why couldn’t the chef had made a sauce? Started off as a great night but ended on a slight sour note which would put me off returning.

Location of course is a busy area and parking is challenging unless are able to find parking onto the side street. There is a pay parking and free after 3pm. This is disadvantage as food side of a restaurant closes apart from the bar. This establishment needs to revisit their policy.

Unfortunately I didn't like any of the food I had. My choice was supposed to be 'extremely mild' but it was too hot for me. They did re-make it mild, but it was very heavily perfumed with a flavour I didn't like. I had also booked it as I thought it was a place for a special occasion - my husband's birthday. It was just a glorified pub with tables crammed in. Not for me I'm afraid, though my husband quite enjoyed his food.

If you want a authentic curry come along to the Regency Club. Love the good really tasty and full if flavour. The curries tend to be on the spicey side but you can ask them to not put to much spice heat in the curries.

The food at Regency Club is always great with the same standard. It's a bit expensive but worth it. Lots of choice for both veg and non-veg. The only downside is you only get two hours slots and are constantly pestered to order more drinks.

Came here with no reservation and Pankaj the maître sorted me out so thank you Pankaj. The atmosphere was good and it was very busy which is good sign that the Food is really good.

Use to go to Regency every week for the past 25 years since it first start. But recently,we went for our annual meetup and NOW, if you do a booking they take your credit card details and charge you if you cancel and if it's 10 people booking that would be £100 chargedif cancelled.

We came in expecting a standard restaurant but it seemed more like a bar, with people hanging around drinking pints and the football on all the screens. The food was ok, it wasn't awful but I literally can't remember anything we had, so definitely not memorable. Right after we ordered dessert, we were told that they needed the table back within ten minutes. We hadn't even received the desserts, let along eaten them or paid the bill. But we were a big group and the waiters seemed to be doing their best.

The chicken wings here are fenomenal, brilliant food and great taste the pub setting isn’t the best but the food quality is the best you’ll find in many places

I visited with a friend from the area and really enjoyed it. The restaurant has a real buzz and is very smart yet down to earth with an eclectic mix of people. We ordered a sharing platter with various lamb and chicken dishes, all of which were delicious! Good value too and excellent service. Would certainly return.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years and have found the quality of food to be consistently good.

We love the food at the Regency and go there at least once a month with friends. I tried to book today (usually my husband does it and is treated like an old friend) to be told I could have a table at 6.15pm or at 9.30pm but not at 7pm as the tables were only available for walk-ins. They would rather take their chance on walk-ins than a firm booking on a Wednesday evening. By this time, I had made 4 phone calls, been put on hold twice (on two different numbers) while the booking agent spoke to management. And after all that, I was told 'no' but we could come and drink at the bar and wait for a table. So, no table for us then. And an end to our regular visits to the Regency. Loyalty is worth nothing.

Ordered the at 6 pm and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes .It is impossible to prepare hand cooked food in 15 minutes

Coming home late i decided to order a takeaway as i was in the area. I was able to order quickly but with limited help from the kitchen staff on their speacility. I placed my order of garlic mogo, chili paneer and paneer makhani and 2 garlic naans. I was asked to wait for 15mins. I was able to have a drink at the bar but was disappointed that i was not called out when my dinner was ready to take away. No gratitude for my business.

Tasty and flavorful East African cuisine with a pub feel. Great to spend a weekend afternoon enjoying great food and watching sports.

My friend and I called to book a table for a Thursday evening and were told that the latest they could accommodate us was 6:45. Not knowing what to expect we arrived to a very busy, lively and very atmospheric restaurant! Great place, very friendly and absolutely delicious food, perhaps slightly different to what I am used to as this is very Kenyan influenced. Starters were peppers stuffed with cream cheese and tandoori paneer. Both were bursting with flavour and totally delicious. These were followed by Methi Chicken which I’ve never found outside of India and the perennial favourite Tara Dhal. Accompanied with rice and garlic naan it was a superb meal all washed down with Tusker beer.

Being going to this place for over 30 years Its a institution for Indian and Kenyan food Garlic Mogo is a must The Chicken wings are to die for !!

Me and my wife had been hearing great things about Regency after the refurb and everyone was saying you have to go. We made the tiresome journey down the A1M, booked the table through their site this was straight forward and work efficiently. Got there and they had our reservation and showed us to our table quickly. Looking at the menu I was pleasantly surprised at how good the prices are. The restaurant was packed so I assumed this place must be the place considering how busy it was. We ordered chilli paneer, garlic mogo and pilli pilli chicken as starters. The paneer was absolutely rubbish, soft n squidgy, the garlic mogo was ok not amazing and the pilli pilli chicken was vile, it tasted like it must have either been cooked in mustard oil or something but there was this disgusting after taste, my wife only ate 1 and left it as did I. Fortunately our mains were on hold and we decided to pay up and go somewhere else. Anyone that says these guys do good food is deluded you really need to get out a lot more if you think that is good food.

Since the refit the whole experience has gone down. Can't book a table directly. Lots of uber eats standing near your table waiting for their order overlooking. Get pushed out as soon as you have had your meal. Food is good.

We’ve been coming for 10+ years and recently the restaurant has been more than a let down.

My niece was visiting from USA and wanted eat out at a indo-Chinese restaurant. I booked Regency and gyess my niece loved the food and all in all everbody was a happy with the service and tasty food. I thoroughly recommend to anyone this restaurant and try the Garlic butter Chicken yiu will not regret it.

9 friends visited for an evening catch up. Needed to book, as busy, but we're seated at the alloted time and got beers quickly! Ordered a couple of Regency platters to start, which were really good. A variety of mains, rice, sides and naans/ rotis were order by the group with all good being rated as good to very good. Atmosphere in the place was great (Super Cup on the TV), which added to the enjoyment. Not somewhere to go for a quiet night, but good for reasonably priced decent and different curry.

Very disappointing, why have 1430 reservations when last orders are at 1445? This resulted in all the food coming out all at once and the experience rushed. The food wasn’t up to usual standard, the garlic mogo we came for was way over cooked and hard, we struggled to penetrate it with a fork. The booking was for a birthday celebration, and the experience left us massively dissatisfied. The paneer was rubbery, the naan cold. The wine warm and the pina colada tasted like it was out of a carton - not the usual regency standard. Don’t think we’ll be coming back in a hurry.
