Ashutosh Restaurant in Brent

We held an event at home for 25 people and had all food catered by Ashutosh. Every dish was so tasty and fresh and everyone loved it, including people from Middle East and those with roots in Pakistan and India. The owners, Champa and Nagin Shah, were super-helpful and everything was as promised and more.

Food was ordered by Uber eats one of the dishes was out of date could literally smell a pong. Called up the restaurant instead of complaining first but was disgusted by the owners attitude. He said it’s not gone off it’s fresh, don’t ever order again I don’t want you in my restaurant as you are complaining. What a rude man, I mean it’s serious stuff and the attitude stinks just like the food!!! As I was reading the reviews on here others have experienced the rudeness and also stated food was out of date so just being honest!

We had our daughters first birthday here and it was amazing! The food was awesome. Delicious and fresh. Malai Kulfi was really great dessert. We recommend this place for even a dinner.

We came for my nephew's 10th birthday dinner and were incredibly disappointed. Service was exceptionally slow and it took almost and hour for the food to arrive which was 3 basic dishes. The staff serving the food were brushing their hair in the main restaurant in between serving the customers which was quite shocking as it is a unhygienic practice. The meal was average to taste however my whole family got severe food poisoning the next morning and we needed antibiotics for a week. Over and above, they also add service charge despite such poor and slow service. I would not recommend it solely from the health and hygiene point of view.

Fantastic food - very reasonably priced! Spoke to the owners as it was quiet when I was there and they alcater to weddings. I'd recommend the thali. We were also were given home made mithai.

Attended here for my Neice’s birthday meal. 10 Adults and 5 children, due to celebrations at the house before we were 30 minutes late. Upon arrival the place was empty except 2 diners. A lady who we established was the owner was the lone waitress. We ordered various starters and drinks and service was a bit slow, masala dosa took 45 minutes and was very tasteless. BEWARE OF THE 12% DINE IN CHARGE!!!. They added this to the bill- we don’t mind paying and tipping for good service however on this occasion service was very poor. When I went to pay the bill I queried this and was shown the menu where it states 12% charge. I stated if it was service charge I would not pay, that is when the woman started shouting “you came 30mins late” I said politely no need to shout I am a customer. That was when the large bald man behind the counter said not to come back. I agreed we have no intention to come back and he started swearing, as we were leaving the woman waitress started shouting get out this is my place whilst cleaning our table- we were on our way out anyway!!. Totally unprofessional people. The food was poor quality too, we have woken up with diarrhea.

We dined here as a family (5 adults & a baby). We were all made to feel welcome by the friendly owners. The food tasted great, was served piping hot and was more than reasonably priced. I’d highly recommend the mogo & chilli paneer! Will definitely revisit & consider for event catering!

So many people have been recommending Ashutosh and I'm glad I listened. They Catered for my wedding and hosted my birthday celebration at their restaurant for 40 guests. Amazing food and service which included live cooking stations with unique dishes and flavours. Plenty of Vegan and no onion & no garlic options were a bonus! Great service and a must try! 👏🏼

Had such a lovely experience here at Ashutosh. The owners and staff were very welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious especially the soya dishes whilst the service was top notch. I've visited on many occasions and can definitely say, this is my favourite Indian restaurant! Keep up the great work Ashutosh!

Extremely rude owner/manager created a hostile environment - not very welcoming considering you are working in the hospitality industry. Before I could even sit down the first thing he blurted out (rather than a hello or a welcome) was we have 2 hour limit on this table. Which is absolutely fine…but the way you convey it is important. The saving grace was the waitress who was on point and very vigilant. Portion sizes not so good although food was tasty (however, the chips were frozen in the middle despite stating that all food is made fresh!) Glass of wine ordered was barely half full going back to the point around portion size

The worst experience in my dining life I have. We were planning to host an event for 50-60 people and decided to try the food before hand. The lassi we ordered was watery which we pointed out and it was taken back and came back again the same. We did pointed that out and asked to cancel that order. But the plus size block who sits behind the counter came to us and said do you want me to cancel the whole order and I said yes and mentioned to him , with that attitude noone will come to you. The person sitting behind the counter should change his profession to wrestling. His lose and he just lost a big order. Never again

A few weeks ago, I needed last minute catering for a pre-wedding event and a friend recommended Ashutosh. The lunch we received, coupled with the service, was exceptional. All of our guests (including the ones from America) really enjoyed the food (we ordered the chole, bhature, biryani and gulab jamun). Ashutosh cooks from the heart and this emotion is portrayed in its food- highly recommend going here!

Ashutosh Catering is one of the best places we have gotten our catering from. All of the ingredients were so fresh and tasty. Our guests kept on complementing the exquisite taste of the chole and the gulab jabu was so fresh and soft that it would melt in your mouth. Not only is the food fantastic, but the people who run the business are timely, friendly and phenomenal. Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

This place had a very pleasant dining experience and the food was really delicious. The chilli paneer was tasted great with really nice texture and the masala chips were really good. Other foods tasted great aswell and they have really good range of Dishes to choose from including vegan dishes as well Will definitely come back here for sure !

The food was amazing. I was not too familiar with some items on the menu and I was recommend some tasty dishes. Everything was freshly prepared and I would go there all the time if I didn't live so far away.

Had organised my birthday event for 30 guests in Nov and am very glad I chose this venue - a pure vegetarian restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing ! Very fresh, well prepared and delicious. The hot puris are to go for ! The service we received was great and food was served hot as per course. The owners and staff were very friendly, accommodating and took care to offer the best quality. The place gives a warm welcoming feel and sits about 35 comfortably (though you might just be able to squeeze in a couple more). The dining experience overall was great. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend Ashutosh for dining in or hosting parties !!

We ordered a full Gujarati menu for a small event at our house. Throughout the process, Champa was helpful and approachable. All items were provided hot, tasty and were plentiful for our hungry guests! We will definitely be contacting Ashutosh for catering events in the future

Ordered food for a little event we had and it was delicious. The main dishes we ordered were: - Somosa Chaat - Daal Makhni - Chilli Paneer - Gulab Jamun Whenever we go out we really like the food to be like home cooked and this was it, it had that restaurant feel but also was not oily, felt fresh and was packed with a lot of flavour. The team were very professional and responded to my many questions and were patient when we were late to pick up. Will definitely be using Ashutosh for future takeaways and events.

We held a birthday party here end of July. The food and atmosphere was perfect from start to finish. The team listened to our requests and were very accommodating. The food was delicious and beat part is that they cater for kids as well as Jain guests. This place is definitely worth more than 5*. We love this family-run restaurant. It's very local to us and we get takeaway or eat-in several times a year. The range of food is amazing and always tasty!

Ashutosh were amazing. they were able to cater quite last minute for me. What i loved about their food was that they had something for everyone. I ordered indian food for the adults and pizzas and pastas for the kids. and everyone loved it. not only this, their portions were fantastic. we had a few left over to people could take some away for dinner too. food was delicious. stayed warm with their packaging and overall, fantastic service. Dined at Ashutosh with my wife and it was so good! Had masala dosa, uttapam, samosa chaat, soya chilli lollipop, mogo and a few drinks.Food was delicious! Fresh tasting and definitely the best selection of items of veggies & vegans. Service was superb too! We’ll be coming back soon!

This Resturant is a disgrace to Indian food. We ordered pani puri and the pani was gone off. My child felt sick on the way home due to this. It is unacceptable to serve out of date food/gone off food. Everything else we ordered was also not freshly prepared. They claim that they make fresh food however we felt it is not the case as any of the dishes we ordered were piping hot! The service is absolutely terrible as well, no welcome, no smiles grumpy waiters serving. We complained about the pani puri and the waiter didn’t even apologise. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also terrible. We don’t recommend this resturant to anyone and will not be visiting again.

Really impressed with how fresh and tasty the food was. The mogo and paneer they use is top quality and you can tell when you eat it. Great service and very fair price for what we had. Will definitely be going back.

This place is my number one place. Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to that place. everytime I want to go to a proper meal, this place comes straight to my head. superb and food and a rich menu.helpful crew, and agreeable atmosphere. Not less important, the expence is reasonable. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.

This restaurant serves the most delicious food I have ever eaten and yes this is a big and bold statement to make.I have eaten everywhere around Harrow and being a big foodie and food critic I can safely say I have found a real gem of a restaurant and will be going to this place regularly with my fiends and family.We ordered crispy bhajia ragda pettice, aloo Papdi chat and patra.The food is made by the owners and is a family run restaurant too hence the food is special.I hope they continue this level of food quality and the restaurant is very clean.Well Done Ashutosh.

Been to the resturant to dine in and always had great service along side tasty food, leaving you wanting more. Menu is extensive so something for everyone and very accommodating. During lockdown, I have certainly been making the most of the delivery service. Taste and portions have defiantly not been compromised and cannot wait to dine in when we can.

Hardly ever open on time. Unhelpful, arrogant patronising staff. The customer here is always wrong and a nuisance. EDIT: The restaurateur's response to my review is BS. I have well over a hundred reviews to my name and have nothing to prove to these guys. I have lived in this area almost three years and tried to visit this place three or four times before and they haven't been open by at least five mins after the advertised opening times, and if I've asked people entering or leaving neighbouring properties if it is opening they didn't know either, so I have gone to the Mumbai Junction instead. Unfortunately on this night the MB was shut so I decoded to try Ashutosh again. On this occasion they got everything wrong. When I helpfully pointed our that they had left the "Open/Closed" sign in the wrong position meaning I had almost not tried, and other customers may be doing the same, instead if thanks I got arrogance. Then I was told abruptly in a very unwelcoming tone "You have to download the menu" and I asked for a disposable copy. "Have you seen the size of our menu!?" i was asked incredulously! Nope and I don't care. If you're going to make it hard for me to be your customer then I won't be. I turned away to leave then the chap stopped me and asked me to leave, underlining his stupidity.

We ordered their Diwali menu and can't complain! Food was enough for 2 and we got quite amazed by the taste, specially because we don't see many vegetarian restaurants with that authentic taste. We shall definitely order soon and hopefully visit soon.

Phoned to make a booking, went to voice mail. Drove past it at 7pm and restaurant was shut. They randomly shut on some days, don’t mention this on their website or their voice mail.Oh by the way we did leave a message to request a call back to confirm booking, they never returned the call.Why are they in business?

Brilliant restaurant, with as surprisingly large menu. Outstanding flavours! The staff can’t be more accommodating and friendly. We came to this restaurant with children, the kitchen accommodated for their tastes. The restaurant and staff took all required measures for a COVID safe environment. We look forward to going again.

Went on a Sunday evening, place was quiet only a couple of tables. Food was okay taste wise but portions were not great. Daal Makhni was about half the size of a normal portion but priced at full amount. Overall not impressed.

Nikhil was brilliant from start to finish in the whole process. He made sure the right type of menu was selected to cater the audience at my wife's surprise 40th birthday party. Everyone in the Ashutosh team was COVID-19 compliant and respected everything including wearing the right PPE. I'd recommend Ashutosh to anyone looking for catering for a special occassion.

Ordered a takeway from Ashutosh for the first time on Sunday and we were very pleased with all of the dishes. The food tasted delicious especially the Haka noodles and the mushroom manchnurian. The dabeli was full of flavour and a great testament to authentic Indian dishes! The portions were good and had a considerable amount leftover (probably ordered too much as all the dishes looked great!). Can't wait to order from here again!

This restaurant is horrible. I ordered food a couple of days back from them via Uber Eats. I am a doctor and was hell tired due to work that night, so didn't eat but my husband had a bit of curry wit puris. At 2 am, he woke up, vomited and had dyhorrea so bad, I can't explain. He was sick for 3 days, week with bad stomach. When asked to refund, they just paid back £7 out of £25. We literally have thrown all food as we didn't it was safe. I contacted many times but these guys are shameless. When whole world is clapping for doctors, these guys are with lives of doctors and their families. Shame. Dr. Pooja

I've been to Ashutosh twice now and enjoyed it both times. The 1st time we just ordered a chaat which is probably one of the best I've tried as I love chaat and the 2nd time I went with my husband ordered a few starters which were just as nice and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the masala mogo the most. I'd definitely go back for mains. It's a modern looking restaurant with nice interior and a family run business and the owners are very friendly.

Booked a birthday party on Saturday 25th January. The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. All guests had a fab time. Bonus was they catered for 3 of our guests who don't eat onion or garlic. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Team Ashutosh.

Absolutely loved the new menu! Very friendly and accommodating service and the food is amazing! As a non-veg I’m quite hard to please with veg food, however I was pleasantly surprised and loved the crispy bindhi. Definitely will be back!

Thank you to the team at Ashutosh for the lovely food for a family birthday last week. We asked for some dishes to be mild and they ensured it was to our liking, as well as this they ensured the birthday cake was well presented. We will definitely be back.

Come here regularly with friends and family and have always loved the food and service. Price is super reasonable for the quality and favourite items are crispy bhajia, paneer tikka pizza and samosa chaat. Oh and they serve lots of alcohol choices which is an added bonus.

Ordered a takeaway and dishes are much more pricey than other Indian food outlets. Food was greasy, potato bhajias had so much Chana flour and hardly any potato, naans were like biscuits, Hakka noodles very spicy, spicy Mogo looked and tasted uncooked and simply tossed in sauce. Only chilli paneer was ok.

The food was ok for its price. The service was alright considering we pre ordered the food. Having said this we were a large party.

I came to Ashutosh with my friends for their live bollywood music night a few days ago. Such a fun atmosphere combined with a delicious three course meal. This standard of food, decor and atmosphere tends to be missing from local Indian vegetarian restaurants, but not at Ashutosh. We’ll defintely be back.

Decided to order dinner from this restaurant today... worse decision ever. Except for the crispy Bhajia which were just about edible all the other dishes were awful in taste and texture. We had ordered pau bhaji , kofta, mixed veg tawa dal makhani naan! The naan was rock hard as if it was 2 days old and heated up. The kofta were dry and hard and the sauce had no flavour and was full of food colouring. I have no way of describing the mixed vege except it made me think that all the left over vege ( Karela, tindora, bhindi, etc) all put into a pan together !! I hate throwing food but this not something I would want to eat ever again ... it may be said that I was just being fussy , but others also agreed it’s not edible. My son said maybe I should have left without picking up the order when I saw how dead the place was !!! I don’t recommend this place at all ... you will only waste your money !!!

Good service and a great range of food. We celebrated a 40th birthday here with 14 people. Good for everyone including those of the group who wanted No Onion and No Garlic food.

Average food in general, a bit disappointed that when we ordered mains we were not told the portions would be enough, which didn’t really reflect price point either, after that the mains were unbelievably salty!! Would think carefully before recommending which is a shame as the service wasn’t bad and general decor and ambiance wasn’t bad either!

Came here with my family and the food was absolutely delicious. You could taste the care and freshness that had gone into it. The service was great and friendly and the restaurant itself had a lovely ambient atmosphere. A nice place to hold private functions and bring your family or friends down too. They also offer catering services which I've had the pleasure of trying and cannot recommend them more highly. They offer vegan, gluten free and no onion/garlic dishes which cater for everyone's needs. They are a family run business and are definitely worth supporting. Ashutosh are well worth my 5*.

I eat a lot of Indian food and there was nothing stand out. The food was ok. We had garlic mogo, chilli paneer, manchurian, rebellion, crispy bhajia, Pau bhaji. It was good value at 15 each. My favourite was the Pau bhaji. There was something wrong with the dabeli. It has a weird after taste. I think something may have gone wrong on this occasion. I would suggest it's worth a try but I am unlikely to go back.
