AMAZING first experience ! We stayed at the bar area and ordered our drinks. The staff was so lovely, it was international women's day and we got a complimentary sample of sloe gin (my favourite!). I definitely will the back, the cocktails we ordered were amazing, same was the atmosphere and staff.

Nice place on the 2nd floor where the famous Plymouth Distillery is located. Suggestive environment with a beautiful exposed wooden roof. Lots of choice of gins and cocktails. Trained and sociable staff.

I recently visited a bar where I had an exceptional experience, thanks to an incredible bartender named Coco. From the moment I arrived, Coco’s warm and welcoming demeanor set the tone for a fantastic evening. Her energy and enthusiasm were infectious, making the atmosphere lively and enjoyable. Coco’s mixology skills are top-notch. She crafted some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had, each one perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor. Whether it was a classic cocktail or one of her own creative concoctions, every drink was a masterpiece. Coco’s attention to detail and passion for her craft were evident in every glass she served. What impressed me the most was Coco’s ability to make every guest feel special. She took the time to chat with us, remember our names, and tailor her drink recommendations to our tastes. Her personalized service made the experience truly memorable. The bar itself had a great vibe, with a stylish interior and a comfortable seating area, but it was Coco’s exceptional service that truly made the night. Her professionalism, friendliness, and incredible bartending skills set a new standard for what I expect in a bar experience. If you’re looking for a place with amazing drinks and outstanding service, I highly recommend this bar. Be sure to ask for Coco – she’ll make your visit unforgettable!

Stopped for a couple of cocktails after the distillery tour, what a place! Great surroundings, lovely atmosphere and the cocktail recommendations from the staff were on point as well. Will definitely find our way back here.

20 to 30 pounds just because we couldn't stop ourselves from ordering more of their incredibly excellent drinks. The amazing staff alone is a reason to go there.

Sophisticated and historic place to have a drink, away from the hustle and bustle of the Barbican. £5 for a single Plymouth Gin and Fevertree tonic is good value, all things considered (Jan 2024). They do a wide range of other drinks and cocktails if you don't drink gin. Friendly and helpful staff too. Only a minor niggle, it would be good to have prices on the menu to avoid any shocks when your bill comes.

Excellent service, wonderfully historic building and a great choice of cocktails (particularly if you like gin! 😀) Perfect venue to enjoy socialising with friends or pre/post dinner!

We love this place!! Coco and the team hosted our wedding reception last night - it was perfect!! The atmosphere and drinks were amazing, we couldn't have asked for anymore from them! We love you guys! X

Stylish bar with great gin based cocktails

Excellent cocktails. Great service and cool atmosphere. I had The Southside, very good drink with fresh lemon juice, which is the main flavor. My wife had the Young Poet’s Martini, the pinch of salt balances the sweet for a delicious harmony. Do stop in for a drink!

This is a beautiful place to come to relax at and have a drink. Gin, of course. I don't like gin, or tonic, but a sloe gin with the lemon tonic always goes down nice even for the likes of me. Watching the bartenders make the varied cocktails in an incredibly professional way is very entertaining! It's a classy place and a must when in Plymouth.

Dropped in to here one evening to end a night out. Staff were really friendly and we were seated in a quiet spot with a nice atmosphere. Menu was good and there was a special menu on. Staff were very knowledgeable on the drinks and helped with our selection. Overall a hidden gem that I hope stays that way as it a fabulous bar.

Dropped in within a friend for a drink and were greeted by very friendly staff. We sat overlooking the bar. We shared a great bottle of wine had excellent service from the team. Will be coming back.

Fantastic atmosphere and stunning cocktails

No longer need to be a member to enter. Very relaxed bar with an air of sophistication. Drinks are expensive but they are truly exceptional cocktails -you must really like Gin- that are highly alcoholic.

Lovely experience good service friendly staff

Rudest waiter I have ever come across in my life, got talked to like dirt for grabbing a menu from the bar after we waited and were not told if it was table service or not; also moving a couple old drinks from the window seat, as a couple people left and we wanted to move seats. He needs more people skills because that was appalling, acts like he owns the place. we left without ordering as this establishment does not deserve my money, absolute joke, came here years ago and enjoyed myself but never again.

Such a lovely place, shame we didn't experience it because of the rude tall blonde waiter. He was the most rude and patronising man I ever encountered. After a long week of stressful hospital appointments my partner decided to take me out for a little treat to help me feel better. The door staff was lovely and everything seemed nice but when we got seated I did not hear what the staff member said about how we order. I am disabled and really struggle hearing in busy places so we assumed it was table service and waited for a bit but saw the ladies next to us take some drinks to the bar and come back with others so assumed that it might not be? Waited a bit longer but we didn't even have menues so my partner went to take some so we could have a look and know what to order. The man that sat us down came over and told us off for "doing my job, you don't come in here and do my job, you're in a really nice restaurant this is not what you do" and patronised us to hell and back. I did apologise and said I am disabled and hard of hearing but he carried on a tirade and Talked down on us, treating us like lesser people. Even more so when we moved to the table next to us as ours was small and cramped and moved a glass out of the way. We didn't rush him to clean it, simply moved one glass and he just about blew a fuse. I don't understand how you can work in such a nice place as a person with absolutely no decorum, customer skills or class. Really big shame for such a staple of Plymouth to employ such individuals who as I can see have had numerous complaints. Sort it out, it's illegal to discriminate against disabilities and even ignoring that, shameful to walk around with a chip constantly on your shoulder.

This place is amazing, The staff are friendly and helpful, making some of the best cocktails I've had! If your up for a suprise ask them to make their specials each member has one!! This is the perfect place to unwind and have a gin, really clean bar and a perfect setting. Right next to the barbican and attached to the distillery. Cannot recommend enough 10/10 for everything

A beautiful place in the center of Plymouth to enjoy a good gin and tonic. The roof is made of wood and partially preserves the structure of the old monastery from the 16th century. XIV.

Still the best bar in Plymouth. Table service if you want it, a fine selection of spirits and a well put together and executed cocktail menu. The bar itself sits above the historical Plymouth Gin, gin distillery. As you might expect the surroundings are historic and also beautiful with a high wooden beamed ceiling. The seating is comfortable and there is usually a pleasant buzzy atmosphere. If you want a cocktail not on the menu the staff know their business and will usually accommodate you. Highly recommended and if you get the chance do a tour of the distillery downstairs..

Very disappointing......staff were disinterested and just seemed to be going through the motions. No interaction with us whatsoever.... For all their supposed expertise on gins they presented 2 double Plymouth gins with Mediterranean tonics in the most boring straight glasses!! And, to top it all, at 10pm on a Friday night, they were playing 60's Tamla Motown music.........No class, no style.....nice ceiling though....

OK, it's not cheap! Great bar staff, great Gins and beers. Cocktails are good, the bar staff make them well. The actual bar is nice and relaxed to sit and unwind in.

Very lovely bar, nice and helpful staff, Best Gin Cocktails i had really nice, you have to taste Plymouth Sloe Gin on Ice. We had 6 gin longdrinks from the card and it a tasty experience.

Made me like Gin and I dislike Gin! Staff is lovely and describe the differences in Gin they serve. Cosy environment with lot of space and ambience music.

Comfy, welcoming, expert and approachable bartender, soothing, pleasant, world music and electronica to go with the tasteful aesthetics. I'd make it a regular spot if I lived here!

Fantastic oldie world setting huge wooden beams - leather sofas to sit comfortably and chat with friends - a full compliment of gin based cocktails but I always have the gin and tonic you can't beat it

Amazing gin cocktails and a great IPA. Staff are attentive and knowledgable. The gin drinks are clever and make full use of the distillery.

Good place and usually quiet during weeknights. Cocktails are all around the same price and are really good. Need to be a member for Friday and Saturday nights (free btw) so it does keep things from getting really crazy on the weekends.

Classy and professional - if you want a cocktail how it is supposed to taste with quality ingredients and knowledgeable bar tenders then this is the place - open to all during the day but a membership scheme runs for the evenings . Always busy so plan ahead

We had a party of 35 here, the staff were very friendly and the drinks were delicious! We were able to pre-order, which made it a lot easier on the night. Great venue and great staff.
