What can you say about a place which has such fast food service that it makes you wonder how they managed to get it cooked in that time.... well the answer is quite possibly that they cooked the burgers in advance and warmed them up as needed. That becomes particularly more likely when you spend the night and the morning afterwards ( edit ... and still not recovered by the following Monday) on the toilet with what appears to be food poisoning! The servers there were lovely, but the food was frankly rubbish. A gourmet burger was just a couple of dry burgers with some dry bacon in a brioche bun, oh yes with oven chips and some old recycled dip. They should expect a visit from a health inspector soon and whatever it is they are doing to cut corners, they need to pack it in and do things right. Friendly staff, Great atmosphere, and a lovely place to sit and chat with friends.... just don't order the food is my advice. Update on Monday 23rd. A family member pointed out that I really should have spoken to the venue to give them a chance to rectify the problem before giving a poor review. So, being a fair minded chap, I called them on Saturday - the day after my visit. I was told that Nick, the Bar manager would call me back to discuss it when he arrived between 5 and 6pm that evening. Its now Monday night and he never did bother to call. Says it all I reckon. So my view remains... don't eat there. The food isn't brilliant anyway and it probably isn't worth the risk.

Quieter in winter sea front location

The best weatherspoons i have been. Food is perfect and hot. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good selection of drinks. Nice view of the sea. What more can you ask. Easy 5 stars from me.

I had the Turkey Christmas Special. It was delicious and arrived quickly, more than can be said for my drink (ordered at the same time). Unfortunately the drink only arrived when I was more than half way eating my delicious dinner. It's a shame really, I had to deduct a star

Just spent 36 hours feeling like I’ve been food poisoned after eating fish and chips here. The food arrived a minute after the drinks arrived! Obviously undercooked! I’ve just spent the last 36 hours on the toilet!! I will never return here!

I was very Impressed with the food at weatherspoons in Burnham every time I go there with my partner it's always clean the staff comes around checking on you I will be definitely back thankyou very much

We had a two night stay in Burnham this past week and of course, you have to check out the local weatherspoons. Thursday is curry special night. I was disappointed the price was more on the app than the menu on the table. I enjoyed my curry anyway. I like the 660ml brewdog hazy jane. I also noticed the breakfast menu was a pound more than my local in Tewkesbury.

Edit November 24 Sadly the pub has slipped downhill again. After 18 months the food is now poorly prepared and mostly burnt, burgers like ice hockey pucks, fish dry, flat and with inedible batter. the beer is indifferently kept and the waiting service hopelessly slow. Another 20 minute wait for my drinks to arrive, on the third visit in succession. One can only hope this is a an issue with the staff being overworked as there does seem to be fewer about. Edit, Feb 23 Went back to this pub last night and it was transformed. After more than a decade of being the worst Wetherspoons in the country, a pub that caused me to judge all Wetherspoons poorly, it was clean, warm, comfortable, the beer was excellent and the food also. Staff were happy, and polite, looked after the place and the whole atmosphere so much better. Interestingly, the customers who previously treated the place like a dump, controlled their children and general behaviour was much improved. I don't know what you did here, Wetherspoons, but whatever it was, well done.

Update 14.11.24 We live very close to the Reeds Arms. We visited here today for the first time in a few months and were disappointed. Since our last visit in the Summer, the quality and portion size of meals has deteriorated badly. Our party consisted of 4 and despite ordering together, all our food arrived at different times. It was very gloomy inside as most of the lights were turned off which made it quite unpleasant to eat and chat. The staff were friendly though. Update 26.05.2022 We now avoid using the Reeds Arms unless absolutely necessary. Many items on the menu aren't available, tables are cluttered with empty glasses & plates which are left uncleared for ages and staffing levels appear low which is probably why the venue appears so messy and staff seem unhappy & overworked. My husband and I have moved nearby and decided to try here. Reservations aren't necessary and the social distancing protocols in place are excellent. We couldn't get the app to work for some reason to order but a member of staff came to our table within minutes and took it instead. The food was presented well on hot plates and tasted lovely. We had a meal deal with a drink which was good value for money. We'll definitely be returning.

If I could give no stars then I would I waited ten minutes but still wasnt served even though I was the only one waiting Totally ignorant staff I will never ever go there again !

You get what you pay for, as a regular user of spoons you know what to expect.

Frequent visitors overall good service great atmosphere however being disabled I noted when very busy (football) all the makes disabled or not would use the disabled loo. A bit of a pain as gentlemen often miss thus a wet floor. One visit went to go in and someone has literally covered walls floor with excrement was like & explosion was everywhere. Spoke to I think was bar manager who just didn't know what to say or do before he could say something a very large male came barging through pushed past me my sister and bar man to use it! I was forced to go up stairs to use the ladiesabd being disabled using a crutch was extremely painful took so long ! Finally made it but my sister started being sick after the disgusting state of disabled loo. It was had enough for me what would someone do if had to change a baby?. I appreciate some disability are not obvious but I don't think that extends to a good proportion of males being too lazy to use the gents.

Nice enough pub, but there are some serious attitude problems among some of the staff there. Perhaps they're in the wrong job. The nice ones (and there are a few) are carrying them - sadly the good ones never stick around. Don't blame them

We came in as it was Steak night. Customer service was uninviting they acted like robots.. No interaction. We were served up a chewy steak and 12 chips. We actually couldn't speak to the waiter as was in shock.. We spent £25 on that.. Brent Knoll carvery from now on!!

Rather disappointed with the staffs attitude. We returned to the Reed Arms after being in there earlier in the day for lunch and an evening meal as we were visiting Burnham. My husband ordered 2 double Bells and 2 mixers on the app. They were bought to our table and I noticed one was a single and one a double. My husband took them straight back to the bar and was told we'd put mixer in one (2 full bottles of mixer were on our table) then there was more ice in one. He was made to feel he was telling lies. They eventually put it right but the attitude of the staff was dreadful. I don't think they like anyone to be in the pub after 10 at night. Dreadful customer service.

We came on holiday to this area and found this Weatherspoons. The food was always quickly serviced and the very small quibbles we had were dealt with by the staff well. Food was hot and tasty and the pub was clean with friendly staff

Very crowded and not much outside space. Food was very good.As expected from a Wetherspoons.

This was a mixed bag. 5 of us between us we ordered 2 different burgers (both were good) chicken basket (not bad) and 2 mixed grills, these were very poor and could barely tell the difference between the over cooked types of meat. The only saving grace was that you got a drink to wash it down with.

Been here many times. Their cider and beer is really great and very well priced and their food is really good with their cod and chips being some of the best to come out of the cheaper end of British pubs, although saying that, their pizza isn’t that great and borderline awful. The service is also brilliant and a lot of the staff are very welcoming. On average if u want just a main meal, one alchoholic drink and a soft drink you can do this for around £15 and sometimes you may even be able to fit in a dessert too without going above £20 for your total spending per person. Parking is located opposite at B&M or about 5 minutes up the road down Old Station Approach, but unfortunately you will need to pay for parking. If those car parks are full, which they usually aren’t, you can always park in the car park opposite Lidl down Oxford Street, which is about a 10 minute walk away through the high street. You can also try for road side parking down the High Street or Seafront as well, but do keep in mind that the high street is a one way system.

Very busy but staff did their upmost best to deliver fast service with a smile! Very clean considering the amount of people coming in from the beach. Food was hot and yummy

It's a Wetherspoons , it is cheap and cheerful. Our meal was good value as it included a drink so the price was good. Food was OK and acceptable for the price , freshly cooked and hot. Drinks were good with some good offers . Large choice of the usual pub classics , grills and steaks, plus some pizzas and pastas. Burgers looked good, too. Service was good , we ordered by the app from our table outside and our drinks and food arrived quickly. Staff were smiling , polite, and helpful. All in all, as it is a Wetherspoon, it is cheap and cheerful, not high end, but if you visit this chain, you can guarantee good value. This one in Burnham on sea and could do with some tlc, but our meal and drinks were OK with no complaints.

Felt claustrophobic, tables too close to each other and really low ceilings. Food was passable l, what you'd expect in Spoons nowadays.

Breakfast wasn't great I'm afraid. Bacon was super dry to a rancid crisp. Very small portion of beans . Sausage was tasteless. Toast wasn't fantastic but edible. The coffee machines were great with the free refill. Overall your typical Spoons. Building was nice and I liked the cleanliness of toilets.

We always enjoy our food and drinks. We use wetherspoons we're ever we go, great value.

Met with a rude bar staff who informed us that our small dogs were not allowed inside it outside. What pub especially seaside towns where people come on holiday with their dogs, does not allow dogs anymore. I've been to other weatherspoons where dogs were allowed Rude staff

Good Wetherspoon pub with lots of rooms in a great location right on the beach; Right next to it/across the street there is a short and long stay parking lot at normal prices - we'll be happy to come back!

Dropped in for a bite to eat, I had the fish and chips, the fish was massive and very tasty .. my son had the classic burger which he loved . Very enjoyable the only down side was it was roudy, that's not a bad reflection on the establishment though 👍

Beautiful building, decent Vegan breakfast, just what you'd expect from a Whetherspoons, wish they would great the plates or the beans a bit more though, nice outdoor seating too.

Another Wetherspoons pub to tick off the list of ones I've visited. So today we came in for drinks and food. The place was busy but plenty of tables as the pub is huge. Drinks took minutes to arrive from when we ordered on the app. Food was within 10 minutes. Couldn't fault the food or service. We had fish and chips, sausages, chips and beans and 2 x Boneless chicken meal. All empty plates and left feeling full. Toilets were nice, clean and spacious.

Great spoons, went twice during our holiday and both times service and food and drinks were very good. The steaks I had on both visits were first class, cook medium rare as requested and tender and full of flavour 👌👍

Not the Best JD weatherspoons I've been to, Defo indeed of a Serious Upgrade.

We headed to the spoons for a bite to eat on our last day of a family break at nearby Haven. Food and service is as expected from Weatherspoons - good value and speedy service! Our group ordered Mixed Grill / Pizza / Ramen Noodle Bowl / Swarma Chicken Wrap and kids jacket potato. 7 meals with drinks under £70! Great value. All of the food was tasty - highly recommend! Outside seating is overlooking the seafront which is lovely, if you prefer to avoid the pesky seagulls there's plenty of space inside too.

For a spoons this was pretty good..table for 7 and no complaints

Table was dirty when arrived. The serving staff were rude. The girl we had rolled her eyes and her tone was awful and when my mother asked her for VINEGAR she shouted there over there without even looking at us. If we didn’t have a nice gentleman behind telling us where there were we would have never know. The service is appalling they need to sort it out and the foot was either cold or over cooked wouldn’t recommend

Popped in for a drink to escape the prices on the nearby haven site. Decent place and staff were friendly.

Food was great for the price. Service was mediocre, but then it was late in the day and the place was very busy, so staff were tired, I expect. Lots of noisy kids and tables not cleared, but then it is school Summer holidays, so to be expected. All in all, not too bad and the food is usually very good.

Really lovely atmosphere at this place. The service was really good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Also like it that the pub/restaurant is near the sea front. Will definitely be going back again in the future.

Great value £57 for 5 persons meals and drinks we would definitely use this venue and other Weatherspoons again. Pleasant staff even when they were under pressure serving and cleaning tables, well done.

Had to send both meals back twice as it was cold on both occasions. I got new chips the 3rd time around but missus chips were original and cold. Complimentary drinks on round 3. Speaking to locals and they said its regular. Worst Weatherspoons I've used

First time visiting The Reed's Arms in Burnham. Ordered a meal deal, which arrived within 10 minutes but that's where it all went downhill. The table looked like it hadn't been wiped down in ages as it was incredibly sticky. The food itself was pretty 'meh' to be honest. The chips looked and tasted awful. They didn't taste fresh and most were black like they were from the bottom of the bag. The chicken was ok, but the melted cheese was sparse, and the bacon didn't even look like it had touched a pan. Was incredibly fatty and undercooked in my opinion. Now, I used to work for this chain many years ago, and unless your procedures have changed massively since I worked for you, there was no CBSM to speak of. Cleanliness was pretty shocking. Unless this pub is severely understaffed there's no reason why tables weren't wiped down for new customers. Service - I wasn't asked if my meal was ok, in fact I was left to my own devices. Had someone come along I would have mentioned the appalling food that lay in front of me. Pretty dark inside, and it looked like the fridge lights were out of order too. I think if anyone was looking for a decent meal, I'd opt for either a local pub other than this one, or travel further to another 'Spoons. Pretty disappointed with this one.
