Bought salt and pepper chicken with rice and chips. Hardly any curry sauce, which was nowhere near the amount for the chicken never mind the rice and chips. Came and asked if everything was OK, I mentioned about the lack of curry sauce for the 3 of us, as all ordered the same. So she asked if would like same more, we said great. Then to find that I was charged an extra £2 for the extra curry. Could not believe it, and told them that it was not enough curry for what we ordered. Not happy. Glad she did not fetch us all extra curry sauce. The price was also a bit dearer than we would normally pay for the same thing at other places we visit

Very nice place atmosphere was great service was great but the food was outstanding we had the burgers which were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing hats off to the chef .

Went for Gyros which was on offer 25% off, hubby ordered and paid and didn't realise he'd been charged full price. Waited 45 minutes and then lady behind bar checked if we'd had our food. When we said no and that I thought we'd been charged too much she agreed, arranged refund of difference and said she'd given order to kitchen (blamed till in bar). 25 minutes later still no food so we said we wanted refund. Told food being plated up but said leave it and just refund. Issue we have is I'd booked a table on mother's day and when we got there, they had no record of it!! Squeezed us in even though I'd booked well in advance. This is our local we want to support them but they have a long way to go 😤

We were met with a lovely smile. Guinness is fantastic (wine could do with being cooler not a negative as some people prefer wine cool I prefer mine freezing lol). Food was fantastic I had the Penang Chicken Curry main and the sticky pork belly bites for starters and my son had potato skins for starter and double cheese burger both really enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent and will be back again.

Had Sunday, (Mothers Day) lunch at The Red Lion and I could not fault it. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Even though it was very busy the standard of the food and service were not impacted. We have been a few times now and cannot find any faults. It's nice to have a good pub in the village.

Mother’s Day lunch was beautiful , extra gravy and crispy roasties. Portion sizes very generous and each ingredient treat with respect and cooked to perfection. Loved the red cabbage with a hint of festive flavour ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . Great friendly team , there’s nothing here they can improve on so bravo ! So happy to see the pub being ran so well !

Nice place. Food was good and plentiful. Food and drink is reasonably priced. Lovely staff. Parking is available if some what limited when the pub is busy. Will return and I do recommend it

Just had mince & dumplings. Very tasty, filling and red hot. Not a long wait. Re-furbished lounge comfortable. Nice pleasant staff. Definitely to be recommended, will return.

Great to have our local pub back. Food was excellent. Disappointed for the 3rd time that there was no real ale on but there is a decent selection of other beers.

Went to this pub only once, when going noticed how relaxed the staff are and how little drinks where on tap, most in cans which was the most disappointing part, for a pub you'd expect plentiful on offer than buying cans (even with cans I would of done a cheaper offer so customer base doesn't drop), yet one can only dream! As for times of opening hours, do not use google maps for an idea, they open when opened, in short "which ever time the staff are available", imagine this is to do with the new owner (bless them), as for the food.... Haven't tried any, at lass though, heard okay to even positive remarks on the food. So in total giving a 1 star with mixed star reviews, been to other pubs just this one is a let down on different levels, was thinking of a 2 to even 3, just that would be pushing it.

Mam n dad called in last night intending to have the night out, back in the house within an hour. Bought two drinks (pint and a half of coors) minging. £6:25 wasted, never again

The Red Lion is a fantastic pub that offers a great atmosphere and a range of quality drinks. There are two bars, one on either side of the pub, giving a great selection of pints, ciders, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, and even provide snacks like pork scratchings and nuts at the bar. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time, and excellent service.

The food here was really good quality and compared to the other pubs in close proximity, a lot better for the wallet too! We both had the hot beef baguette, couple of pints and was just over £20.

New land Lords are still finding their feet but we went for the first quiz night and it was great. Full House and it was lovely seeing the support. Food was supplied with quiz entry and it was a fun night. Well done

Sign outside says they only serve food till 6pm. We arrived about 7pm and asked on the off chance. So glad we did because the food was fantastic - chips were to die for. Staff were very friendly too. Recommend a visit.

The red lion was very good.excellent food.well priced.good service. Would recommend it to everyone.

The moon always sings over the red lion house. A pub a king would have built. Full of forevers. My mother told me these fairytales. But she didn't tell you this... between dawn and dusk are where miracles are made. I think about that from time to time... and yes. I conclude she was crackers... I'll see you next Tuesday mother... lust... Derek

A quiet and enjoyable afternoon. The lounge area was immaculate with enough space between tables to feel comfortable. Delicious food from a varied menu, which even catered for gluten free. Staff were very welcoming and even offered to provide alternative Gluten Free desserts when there was nothing I fancied. Food was delivered quickly with no time expectations applied or pressure to finish. Super pub, would definitely go again.

Excellent bar with food and sunday dinners too. Reasonibly priced, children friendly and offer Sky, Pool and Darts for all. Great bar staff too and happy to help.. Couldnt be happier with my visit

We had a Sunday roast dinner which was lovely although the meat was a little tough but we mentioned it to staff and they apologised and we were given free drinks. We will be going back.

11 of us went in today, excellent host who managed us all well. All orders came in a timely manner and all were very nice. Mains were also excellent and obviously freshly home cooked. All for £10 for two courses, you simply can’t go wrong. Thanks for the hospitality and we’ll be back.

Friendly staff but you have to wait a while for your meal if you're lucky enough to pick a day they actually serve food they often don't have the food on.

Been coming here a few times now and the service and food are both excellent! Especially love the banana blossom vegan burger and my wife loves the vegan curry where the kitchen even accommodated changing some of the ingredients! Just ate and already looking forward to our next visit!

Food was nice and hot when brought out. Did have a bit of a wait for main meal after finishing starter. Could have maybe had carrots to add to steak n ale pie. But other than that good food. But since this was our 1st visit in a long time even the Coors light was just so nice.

Waited 2 hours for meal. So we walked out .it wasn't busy .staff kept coming to apologise saying short staffed .WHY TAKE OUR ORDER WHEN THERE KNEW THERE COULDNT FULFILL OUR ORDER

Was really clean and felt covid safe the tables were well layed out. We booked a table at short notice over the hoteo month and got a table and time to suit us. The food was standard pub grub, but the cheesy garlic bread wasn't very nice

Went with family to try the 'Eat Out to Help Out' 50% scheme. Whilst other family members meals were of a decent size and quality, my beer battered cod and chips, could be no more than a childrens portion, with the fish overcooked, along with the peas, which were very dried up too. Also, we had to wait for over an hour to be served, with a young 2 year old child to consider. Pretty disappointing on my part.

Called in for lunch and wasn't disappointed lovely family atmosphere very friendly staff I ordered burger and chips all fresh and homemade very tasty afterwards I had strawberry cream cheesecake amazing portion size are very satisfying I was very full after eating great value for the money I would recommend this place very happy customer 😁😁.
