Friendly pub, excellent service and fantastic food. Lovely atmosphere the pub has a terrific landlord in Gary who always made us feel welcome. The food is excellent, cooked by his wife Angie. This place is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

We decided to go out for Sunday lunch and went to the Red Lion.the food here is amazing it's like a home cooked meal not a pub one. Staff are so friendly and very attentive. I had beef and it was melt in the mouth beautiful. The veg is very plentiful we had carrots, peas, swede, cheesy leekes, roast and mash potato and parsnip. A really lovely meal. I could see lots of people coming with their plates for a take away so shows how good it is.

My wife and I went here for Sunday lunch. We had been here a year ago so knew that the staff and locals were friendly. We were once again made to feel welcome. The meals were plentiful .My wife had beef and I had turkey. There was more than enough vegetables and we both failed to finish wishing we hadn't bothered with breakfast. They only serve meals at weekends but open for drinks at 4 p m.during the week.

Good room and excellent bathroom all very clean. Was a bit inpersonal for a family run hotel, and it would have been nice to sit by our bedroom window to look at the view but unfortunately there was not enough space although the room was a great size. Food in the restaurant excellent with brilliant view across the bay.

The weather was fine so we ate outside in the sun. The people are fantastic and the food was excellent. All we could eat, and pudding afterwards. The pub is modern inside and clean. I will be back next Sunday, and so should you!

I live near the Red Lion and its a cracking little pub in the week that becomes a cosy restaurant at the weekends and with being a split venue, you don't get the noise follow through from the bar. Friday, Saturday and Sunday are the only days they cook at the moment but on those days you can take advantage of a good menu of hearty food. My favourites though are the pizza menu and the chicken curry. I genuinely don't think there's a better pub in the area.

Very friendly staff! It seems a shame that it has been done out to look like a city bar in a small pretty village but friendly locals made up for it!

Not suitable for gluten free options despite menu description. We stayed locally and this restaurant had good reviews and described having gluten-free options available which was cinic red when we phoned to book a a table. The reality however was very different. Unless I wanted a vegan red Thai curry there were no options for me on the menu. The items described as gluten free in the menu weren't available and we were told the menu was out of date. Very disappointing and not suitable for anyone wanting gluten free options.

While staying for a short period in the area, we looked on line for a nice restaurant and a his seemed to fit the bill. We were very pleased with our visit. The reception was friendly and not at all pretentious. It is not a large place, perhaps no more than 30 covers and although we made reservations, it was fairly quiet mid-week. Our starter was hummus but strangely we had to order accompaniments separately. Not particularly substantial but we enjoyed our main courses of chicken and salmon. Both well prepared and presented. There is is a choice of generous side dishes which made for a substantial meal. Prices are very reasonable.

Not been here before, what a lovely venue. Food was delicious, well presented and served by a lovely friendly server. It is rare I leave food but I could not of eaten another bite. The lovely gentle piano music in the background was so nice and relaxing. We eill definately be returning here.

If you like a nice beef steak then look no further! The chef buys his meat from a small Swansea butcher and it’s both great quality and well cooked at an amazingly low price! It’s a pub as well as a restaurant so whether you are looking to eat or just have a beer, it’s great! The only downside is that Doombar is the only ale they keep, you would expect a local welsh beer.
