We had a good time and enjoyed the food, service was excellent. We were disappointed in the reduced menu, no longer any gigantes beans, baked aubergine, rice or fava bean dip. This will reduce our frequency of visits.

My husband and I were really impressed with our first visit to The Real Greek today. The food was delicious, nicely presented and so really Greek. The service too, was excellent. Will definitely go back.

Service was very attentive when we arrived, we got asked 3 times if we’d like to order drinks after we’d already ordered but after that it was really hard to get service

The new menu and the way you can order the meze dishes have completely changed all of the dishes we used to order have gone feels a lot more like another bland chain restaurant I know they are a chain but they managed to make it feel so different very disappointed won’t be going back unless they find a way back to a similar way of doing things

It’s the strong level of service that makes it worthwhile coming back again and again. Kasia who mostly looked after us was friendly and welcoming. She promptly took and delivered our orders and made sure that everything was okay and we were happy.

It was very quiet so the level of service was disappointing. Water came at the same time as the food, we asked for the bill and 20 minutes later had to ask for it again. Still didn’t arrive so I went up to the welcome area with my card. The food was good, but the delay in being able to leave was frustrating.

Very nice waiter showed me to a table and got me a coffee promptly while I waited for my friend. We were served kindly and efficiently for our main meal. We were chatting a lot but were never offered a dessert or coffee during the hour and we had to go somewhere so just paid the bill. Shame because the food was good. I wanted to add a side salad but never saw our server again so left it

We were waiting for 10 minutes for a menu after being seated! The calamari was overly salty, nobody asked how the food was during and nobody asked how it was after despite over half our meals being left! We were forgotten about all evening and it took over an hour to get the bill and pay after our plates were taken away! The service was appalling, I've had good experiences in this place before but the staff were terrible, they were sat around doing nothing and keeping us waiting as the weren't busy, I will never go back!

We visit every time we are in Southampton as the food & service is just brilliant. Good range for my vegan daughter too. Definitely be booking for our next trip.

Had dinner at the Real Greek recently and just wanted to give a shoutout to our waitress, Kasia. She was super friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. She had great energy, was quick with our orders. Even though the place was pretty busy, she stayed calm and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed.It’s always nice when someone genuinely seems to enjoy their job and Kasia definitely does. If you’re heading to Real Greek, hope you get her as your server!

I have been travelling to Greece for the last 15 years and the food and service here it’s as good as any of the Greek islands, only missing the good weather! If you go don’t miss the moussaka and the custard dessert.

The lunch time special is always a treat - lamb, sausage and chicken skewers with rice/flat bread and salad. Reminded by the photo on the wall of food we had in Santorini.

Joel was serving us and he was fabulous. It was my birthday and I wanted a spot in the sun so we had drinks while we waited. The food was nice but the soulvaki wasn't very good and should have got an extra meze instead. I also got a little gift for my birthday :) have always liked this place and would always go back.

Went there for lunch after my partner had run the marathon. Food was all delicious (orange cake and custard pie - OMG 😋) and the service was good too. I haven’t had Greek food for ages, and this did not disappoint. Would definitely go back 👍🏻

I'm disgusted! Ordered food just after 8pm, received just after 10pm, when stated it would take 40 mins. Food cold and soggy (as I expected it would be) Terrible food as Pork Gyros had a spicy sauce and was definitely not tzatziki and very tough meat. So poor I wish I hadn't even bothered. The dogs liked it tho!

Service was good, the staff were polite and the food came quickly. Unfortunately the food is very average and a bit disappointing. I had the chicken souvlaki, which was very basic and not very flavourful. My wife's lamb one was also just very plain and basic. The restaurant itself is a bit dinghy and felt a little grubby with food on the seats. Shame, as we love greek food, but we won't be going back.

Now, ordering vegetarian I wanted something beyond just hummus or salad so went for halloumi kebab. Brings me to the weird menu setup. £9.95 for a meat/greek/vegan main then side choice depending on which you go for. It's split into 3 menus for no reason really as I found you can swap the sides. (I didn't want bread so asked for fries as the vegan menu only had bread/salad/rice as the side all the others had fries as an option as well...which given fries are vegan was bizarre enough. It was needlessly confusing. My friend had & meat wrap and side salad. We also got halloumi fries and 2 ginger beers. Halloumi fries..4 in a bowl. Drowned in oil & honey for £7.40 Beers 2 cans worth 65p each in tesco nearly £4.00 EACH just in the can, not even a glass. So the mains arrive. My fries were a stone cold tiny portion. The stale halloumi Kebab consisted of 2 tiny pepper slices and some over 'cooked' halloumi bits on a skewer. All cold too. Now, considering the above about the sides, I found it actually came with loads of flat bread as a side on the plate anyway... and salad & Yoghurt. So forcing a set menu with the same options as a side is ridiculous. If I'd gone for the bread or salad.. I'd have paid ten quid for something you got free already as it's not mentioned. There was so much bread, cold oily and dumped over a leaking pot of lumpy yoghurt. Nice. I also I didn't expect LOADS of raw tomato dumped on my plate with an onion slice and 2 olives. I can't do raw tomato so my friend ended up with his salad and that to eat. Afterwards all I could taste was tomato on my cold greasy plate despite wiping it. His wrap was not much better. Cold, tiny and made up of a slither of "meat" and about 3 fries. Best bit? The bill comes. 2 prices. The first thing the server says, we add 10% service on shall I remove it. 4.00 service fee for..?? Bringing 2 drinks & 2 plates of food to a table on a 35.00 odd bill. Its not America let customers decide a tip. Don't add a fee, then make us feel bad. I said leave it on despite not being happy even paying the bill itself by this point because it was so cringy. But if asked again im sorry to say I'd have it removed for such a poor experience. Won't be back.

Being unsure what to order took the staff's advice and ordered the set meat menu. Good value and really enjoyable.

First time I’ve been here. Absolutely fantastic, the service (by Kasia) was first class. The food was superb, loved everything they bought out for us. Will definitely come back again.

We tried the " Greek sangria " and were very pleased with its flavour; we chose some favourite dishes from the Meze menu and were very happy with them: the coffees were of good strength and the orange cake was an especially good dessert.

We decided to grab a bite before the cinema. Great service and good food. Our server Kasha was exceptional, she made us feel like family. Hot meze and Souvlaki brought us back to our holiday in Greece. Best Mediterranean food around.

The food and service were both good. There were 5 of us in one of the booths, which felt a little too small to all sit comfortably, especially as it was quite warm in there. It would’ve been good to have had a cushioned seat to sit on, rather than the hard bench.

Sadly I left a bit disappointed . I couldn't use my birthday voucher as not ordering from main menu . My food was cold and tomatoes in the salad were past it. Finally the service was very slow

Thw food wasn't great, meat was dry and no flavour, over seasoned food. The waitresses don't give have of the customer to choose there food. Hygwgunw in bathroom is horrible.didnt look like been cleaned for months and found it disgusting.
