Food was just ok, but expensive given the portion sizes.The small plates really are "small". We ordered a selection to share but only got 1 chicken skewer. A couple of prawns. Greek salad had a lonely olive in it and a single piece of feta. Service was terribly slow, finished and requested the bill twice before having to get up and go to them to pay. Was really excited to try this place but it was really disappointing.

both wrap was cold freezing chips and old hard to bite. Greek salad have missing oil and a veggie do have any taste, olive was mega salty. first and las time I ordered food from here

Lovey Souvlaki and decent chips 👍

Food portions have got much smaller. The pork and beef rice box was worth nowhere near what I was charged. No peppers, onion etc on a skewer. Very poor quality. Delivery was slow, driver phoned me from outside on the street rather than delivering to the door. Very poor all around.

The Real Greek – Mediterranean Flavors in Southampton I recently visited The Real Greek, a Mediterranean spot in Southampton, for a casual lunch. We opted for their combo meals – one with meatballs, rice, and salad, another with grilled chicken, rice, and salad, and a wrap for variety. While the wrap was a bit disappointing and lacked the punch I expected, the rice combos hit the spot. The meatballs were flavorful, and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked, pairing nicely with the rice and salad. The highlight of the meal, however, was the Greek beer. Light and refreshing, it was the perfect complement to the summer weather in Southampton.

We recently visited The Real Greek in Southampton and ordered the chicken souvlaki wraps. The wraps were really nice, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The service was also great from Jules; the staff were friendly. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience and we would definitely come back again .. :)

Service was a bit of a miss, only had our order taken, took far too long to order more drinks and we werent asked if we liked our food at all. I will however say their food was exceptional. Great vegan options and felt super authentic.

We booked for our daughters birthday. Although we were a bit late because of parking in Southampton, the staff were understanding. The food was lovely, with plenty to choose from. The atmosphere was perfect for us, and being a larger table, we didn't feel cramped or a nuisance. The staff were attentive and polite.

Not real Greek at all. Both pork & chicken meals were lacking in meat, very dry & cold. Taramasalata was a rip off and chucked into a pot. My own fault for not collecting a decent Greek at Sulas in Portswood.

Great service, the food was amazing. My friend and I shared the 8 plate meal. It was delicious. Great choice. The wine was great I went for the cheapest white wine and it was actually very good. The servers were very attentive. Definitely recommend. I will go back. They also take blue light card so with everything and the discount it was pretty fantastic.

The staff are very efficient, helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and good value for money.

Food was great, but it was very loud which made it difficult to have a conversation. Some sound deading required to soak up the noise is required.

Everything is great in this restaurant. The welcome is very warm and professional. Joseph is very friendly. The food is excellent and the price affordable considering what is on offer. We will return there the following day without hesitation.

If you are Real Greek you know what Geek food is and I completely disappeared, souvlaki was served cold and it was a really small portion, octopus was overcooked... I will never go again.

We decided to grab a bite before the cinema. Great service and good food. Our server Kasha was exceptional, she made us feel like family. Hot meze and Souvlaki brought us back to our holiday in Greece. Best Mediterranean food around.

Great food and our waitress Rim was lovely. I wasn’t sure which of the wines to go for and she came back with tasters of her recommendations. All round lovely night out.

Just came back from Greece and honestly the best chicken monasteraki ever and prawns were delicious !! Staff was extremely helpful and kind. Well done to The real greek team !

I had an amazing early evening meal. Food was incredible and our waitress, Jules was very attentive.

A real mixed bag. Some of the food was excellent, some not so. For example, the filo parcels were delicious, but the wrap was filled with red onion when it had specifically been asked to be not included, and the vegetarian meatballs were plain bad. The service was pretty brusque, even though the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. Overall, not that impressive for the price paid. The bill for two came to just under £60 with just water.

The food was not at the same standard it was a few years ago. The chips were cold, the slaw was terrible & there was a fly cooked into our bread. No flavour at all.

Typically great food, well presented with good service. The last few times though, the salted cod batter is far too thick and oily. The size of fillet inside seems much smaller. It used to be chunky fish with light batter. Such a shame. That said, the Htipiti and the Fava beans are delicious.

First time eating at the real Greek and will certainly come back! At first we were confused with the menu as we didn't know what style it was. But after an ask with the waitress we got an idea. Food cane out tapas style which was perfect, felt like a cream tea. Cold and hot meze were delicious. Especially the meatballs. The cheesecake was perfectly light and sweet. Would of liked to eat outside as it was a nice night out, but it was already packed. Maybe next time :)

Really tasty food, nice wine and good ambience. It just took a long time to get served. We were disappointed that the mousakka seems rarely available, as we always look to order it when we go. We do love the food, the bbq chicken wings were lovely and the skewers were deliciously flame-grilled, the honied halloumi was gorgeous, so will probably go again, but just felt a bit forgotten and had to go up to the bar to ask for service.

The lunch menu is a really good, choice of crudités or Greek bread to start with with a sauce of your choice and a choice of main (No Souvlaki Wraps) halloumi skewers, pork or chicken, this comes with rice, side salad and tzatziki and bbq sauce. The chicken was a bit dry 🥲 and the rice seemed not fresh, the kind were you pre cook, out in the fridge and then reheat later on, tasted just like the one I would make at home for my meal preps. This sadly brings the score down, other than that, price was reasonable, portions were great and staff were nice, we were sitting inside and they happily relocated us to an outside table after asking.

Good food, it did take a while for dessert, I think they forgot about it. Always a good meal out though!

Had to wait around an hour for portion of calamari, 2 chicken wraps and 2 skewers! It was deadly cold in the restaurant, the AC was blowing stronger than needed. Portions are very small, compared to other greek restaurant. They have actually forgotten half my order, so half the table finished eating before we even got everything served. Skewers were dry sadly. Misscomunication or not sure what, but they need some help there. Not happy at all! If you love Greek food, drive to another one. Extra mile will be worth it if you want to be fed and happy for reasonable price :)

Great time in this restaurant. We came at lunch time on a Monday and it wasn’t too busy. They have a lunch deal so you get a huge meal for a great price. Our waitress, Jules was incredibly friendly and efficient.

The service was great but, and I didn't realise this until I had left, the chicken skewer was supposed to be served with Agean Slaw but all we got was the skewer and white cabbage!

We had such an incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely mouthwatering, with a delightful blend of traditional flavors and modern twists. From the tender skewers to the rich and creamy tzatziki, food was really good . Servers was really polite always smiling and happy, made me remember back when we visit Corfu in Greece. We left the restaurant feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. It's safe to say that this Greek restaurant has become our new favorite dining spot in Southampton.

Went on a busy Friday afternoon and was greeted quickly and showed to our table then nothing. Had to get the menu ourselves from the front desk and again flag someone to have our order taken which takes 45+ mins to arrive. For food we had the wrap and the set lunch meal on offer which was nothing to rave about so probably won't be returning again.

Honestly, nothing special food wise and falls back to my usual reason of why I avoid chains. Some of the prices are really quite high for what you actually get. The service sadly let down the experience, we were completely rushed us for an order within about a minute of having the menu, they cleared as I still had my started, tried clearing my main as I had a large amount on my plate, but then took so long to come forwarded when I needed something. It felt like they just wanted as many covers in the shortest period possible, within 25 minutes we were in and out and they also had to cheek to add service when I asked for it to be removed.

The Real Greek at the West Quay complex in Southampton is a great find. Delicious, fresh and flavoursome food. There are plenty of great choices on the menu to suit everyone. Good wine and beverages too. The service is very good and the courses came to the table in good time. We liked it so much we dined there again the next night too.

To be called the real Greek and serve a Xoriatiki salad the size of a fist is quite frankly a shame. The same goes for the gigantes beans, which were barely enough to share for two people. For some weird reason the restaurant also serves the dishes on a high tea cake style stand, which is quite cringe as it has absolutely nothing to do with Greek culture. Overall as a Greek living abroad hoping to get a taste of home I was actually quite disappointed. Save your money and travel to Greece if you wish to experience REAL Greek food and hospitality.
