Cant knock it for the price. Decent food, cheap drinks and daily offers available.

Brings family and friends together, cheap cheerful and value for money

Meeting with friend for catch up, got refillable latte, then ordered of their small bite menu, got fish,chips,mushy peas and of course curry sauce, was delicious and a perfect amount of food to enjoy, will go again.

One of the smaller Spoons and with toilets on the ground floor. They certainly know how to look after the cask ale, the Time Bandit was bob on.

Decent breakfast at a good price.

The Raven in Liverpool 9 was awful on our visit yesterday. Out table was dirty and sticky and our server was a rude, uncommunicative young man who plonked our meals down with a scowl. The bar staff left me standing for 10 minutes at the bar trying to order food, ignoring me for male customers who were served immediately, even though they could clearly see I was waiting for ages. The food was just about tolerable but poorly presented and a little cold. The Raven used to be a good place for a reasonably priced meal, but now it’s just a dirty, scruffy place with poor food and an unpleasant atmosphere.

Cheap even by Wetherspoons standards. Quality stuff.

Haven't been in there for months

They have cameras in the mens toilets but can even be bothered to have locks on the cubicles.

There is a camera in the bathroom ladies! Don't know about the men's. Don't go to the bathroom on there! 🤬

Reasonable fees and comfortable environment

One of the better ones. 15 of us and the food arrived promptly.

I could sit here for hours marvelling at the clientele. This is Working Class Britain!

Me and my parents went for breakfast here this morning, it was mostly lovely except we wanted to point out that the beans were cold, this is a real shame, as the rest of the food was absolutely lovely, just slightly ruined by the beans being quite cold. Despite all of this, it was mostly lovely breakfasts, especially the hash browns and the toast and bacon and the very generous sachets of butter!!! And the waiting staff and bar staff were extremely friendly and the food only took 10/15 minutes to come!!!!!! It's also extremely good value for 3 decent size breakfasts that keep you falling all day and for as many drinks as you want for technically all day as well. We do absolutely love the Raven and we do come here on a regular basis, especially for the breakfasts, but feel as though it does definitely need to be addressed about the beans, as they have been cold on a good few occasions now, we don't like to complain, as we absolutely love Coming here, but feel like it does definitely need addressing. Cold, badly prepared food. Sticky table. Unapproachable staff.

We had some scran with booze on Monday afternoon service was great like the food was nice & steady flow of customers so was reasonably busy. Had a good time only thing that spoiled it was the young lad collecting the dishes/glasses & serving meals to the table >on the way out he was walking around with he's hands down the front of he's trousers down by he's pubes I wouldn't have liked to have my plates Brough over by him .

Been to lots of different spoons and this was up in our 20s favourite ones. The staff were lovely and polite. Food to the usual standard.

Thought I'd leave a review from table 16... had to ask twice to get the table cleared... Still no danger of the table having a quick wipe.... but it's only food...

Great service from all the staff. Always packed so sometimes it's difficult to get a table. Great value for money.

Decent. I actually like Wetherspoons. Nice building, plenty of seating. I loved the touch screen on the wall that allowed me to view all the menu items, ingredients, calories, vegetarian options, and GF options. I chose a cracking gluten-free breakfast that was lovely. I sat in the window and watched the crack heads walk by 😲

Best place For good Pint And Burger

Great atmosphere, loads of families with kids and older people with friends and very friendly staff.

The workers obviously lack 'incentive'. As someone working in this sector for many years in varous countries,maybe a percentage of their till takings would help,especially when you and 4 others are at the bar and they serve the 6th,that walks in.Supposed to keep note,especially when 3/4 are working.

Your typical Wetherspoons. The pub's a bit shabby in places. The staff seemed friendly though and the service was quick.

It's not a typical historical building in comparison to other JDWs. The breakfast wasn't too bad and the staff were quite pleasant. I didn't see a beer garden. Unlimited hot drinks (one machine needed attention), traditional breakfast, and a craft beer for under a tenner

Went there about 10.30 pm, lovely friendly people, very clean and open till 1am Fridays, don't know about the rest of the week but your not gonna get a pint if your in there before by a certain time so best check

Enjoyable but we had the smallest beef burgers we had ever seen .not sure if they were making one in to two but just like flattened meatballs .may be back but not for them

It's just wether spoons, full of drunks and the food all microwaved cheap food for cheap prices, beef in the madras was horrendous

Visited this June with my best friend and she met up with her other friend's and for a person's birthday lunch. I then got a southern fried chicken wrap with chips and vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and toffee sauce afterwards for my dinner, along with a mug of tea to drink. The service was quite fast and you could help yourself to condiments, and the atmosphere was good too with the people who we where socialising with as well as others who sometimes I have met in their.

A local pub for local people. Very poor service unless you are a local. Food was terrible and pizza I had was half cooked. I would have told the staff but I was ignored by them. Not a great experience

Lovely pub, always busy but food and drinks come quickly via the app.

Your standard weather spoons. A bit smaller than the others I've been to, but still contains the same style as all the rest. Only real problem I had was a pint of Doom Bar not tasting 100% correct, but that doesn't put me off the place. It makes for a nice reliable spot for a drink and a snack in Walton vale. Be aware there is a steep ramp at the front doors. This can make it significantly harder to push a wheelchair user in, at least from my experience. It can also pose a risk if you are unstable on inclines. Additionally, to my knowledge, there isn't any directly accessible permanent parking spots, so plan you trip accordingly.

Washroom spotlessly clean. Both coffee machines working.

Absolutely abysmal service THEIR app that I ordered through glitched and charged me twice for a meal, I said when they came with two plates I only ordered one they said on our system it says you ordered it twice, I said YOUR app glitched and charged me twice they legit said “that’s not our problem” they wouldn’t even swap it for drinks or anything so I weren’t gonna give them money for free so I said for them to give me the meal that I “ordered” and I couldn’t even eat it they put it in a take out bag and it was cold and the chips were floppy just don’t go there it’ll be a waste of your money. And then just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse me and my friend caught the female member of staff that served us initially talking with a colleague pointing at our table using horrible language and literally pulled the finger up to me thinking I didn’t see her because I had my phone in my hand absolutely shocking behaviour why they hired her in the first place I don’t know.

Typical spoons always busy staff nice but nothing over impressive no fancy toilets etc as per some wetherspoons but now has a small, basic, outside area, nice in the sunshine.

Good is nice, staff are ever so friendly and speed of the food coming out is good very short wait time to be served with food and drinks

Part of the pub had been flooded and the smell of damp was awful, could not eat food in there. Some of the staff made you feel serving you was a chore.

Friendly competent staff, the steak was cooked Perfectly, the surroundings were clean and comfortable.

My egg benadick was disgusting and my partners traditional breakfast was half warm half cold and very dry, i would not recommend any food especially when the eggs benidick is poached eggs and they get them in in frozen but my eggs were not even cooked properly.

Service was really fast & friendly, the food was tasty. The only issue was the toilets, which could do with a revamp & regular clean. The pub was packed, so should have a full time toilet attendant on.

A fab wetherspoons with nice food

A nice and friendly little Spoons. As we were in Walton Vale we called in for a lovely hot chocolate. It was quite hard to find as with other Spoons establishments that are big and unusual buildings, the Raven blended in with the local shops along the high street so is quite easy to miss. Once inside you get the feel of a cosy smallish interior with just one floor space and tgen slightly raised booths at the side. Service was quick and it was quite busy in there for an afternoon. You can imagine it being more locals in there as there is no car park so passing custom would easily miss it and possibly leave it as nowhere to park. Not a bad little spoons and worth popping into if in the area

Very disappointed the Brewdog Punk IPA is no longer available on draft.

Lovely staff, but butter was all melted, even when we asked for some cold butter, looked like it had curdled

As far as a Wetherspoons go this is probably one of the nicest and friendliest I've visited. First time here, so may have caught it on a good night. Nonetheless had a great time and a laugh with some of the customers. Staff great, particularly Lee. (Very helpful).

Had the worst fish I've ever had in this Wetherspoons the fish was tiny dry and tough. I took a bite of it, then sent it back, only to be told by the chef that he couldn't swap it because I'd eaten a bit of it, so I said "what am I supposed to do with it it's inedible" and was told I could have a sweet instead. Upon which I asked to see the manager. The manager came to the table and eventually agreed to swap it. The picture is of what came back. This was bigger but still dry and tough with the worst batter I'd ever had. The chips were the only good thing on my plate. I have been in many Wetherspoons in the past and recommended them to friends. I will think twice in the future. If I could give this zero stars, I would. I would avoid this place.

Popped in for a quick tea at 7pm Friday night. Ordered drinks and food via the app. Drinks arrived within minutes, quickly followed by the food. Service was excellent and it was really busy at the time.

DIABOLICALLY SHOCKING I came to this place and ordered food for table number 37 on 8th November 2022 at 11.45 I ordered a boneless combination meal ( main ) along with 3 ounce American burger. I was served by an extremely rude obnoxious female member of staff. Before ordering my food I observed and heard her having a conversation with someone who she knew across the other side of bar standing next to me, foul verbal language was exchanged between both people and I found this totally unacceptable. Not only was I shocked to hear here her use this language, I wouldn't of thought that Wetherspoons would employ somebody that uses foul language while on duty the lady in question also confronted me and asked me what meal I wanted, I pointed to the poster that is advertised that stated ( NEW ) 3oz American burger £4.69 or £599 with a drink she shook her head and had some issues with a dreadful attitude as if I should know what food this is. Her mannerism was completely not acceptable. I also asked who was the manager and this lady manager looked very young comparable to the rude behaviour and staff member. Please understand that it is of paramount importance to have a good attitude and a nice approach when dealing with paying customers. I can honestly say the food was very good value for money at the service is won't let this place down.

Called in after Liverpool West Ham. Good beer and open until midnight
