Why have they allowed the owners of Flying Dragon have this shop as well? Ridiculous small portions for the price and long waits ... Prices are dear and food is NOT fresh. Chicken tastes like soy meat!! If you don't listen, well, least I've warned you

Do not eat here! I got food poisoning after eating the mixed kebab! My Dad has the same except he only had the beef so it must have been the chicken. Left feeling unwell all evening and being sick. Food took nearly 30 mins to make and I wish I never had it now! Don’t eat here and take my advice

Threw most of it away. Hardly edible. Slimey fatty chicken, rice clumpy, curry sauce was so thick you could practically chew it, shredded chicken dry and hard, chips terrible, noodles ok, wouldn't order again. Waste of £40

Your portion sizes are ridiculously small I asked for a large chips and it looked lie a regular size portion ...bring the old owners back at least you got your moneys worth ..will not be going back again

Freshly cooked food but the chip's are not fresh they were frozen and to be a chip shop then fresh chip's is a must

Ordered kebab. Took over half an hour. Then had to ask for salad. Not great service, however the food was pretty good.

Very small portions compared to every other chippy in town. Fish was freshly cooked which was the only saving grace. Chip portions were small. Chicken kebabs were not proper - essentially chicken tikka, small amount of salad and sauce, small amount of chicken. Very dissapointed and will not be returning.

This place is the best in town !! the fish is on a different level to other chip shops , the batter is the way I like it , and when you see the size of the Kebabs are lol plus the people who work in there are lovey people and polite I would recommend this place to anyone ..

Recently visited, they seem to close early at 10pm. The chips were fine, but thought the fish wasn't the best quality and didn't like the batter.

Went in for lunch, Tony was very freindly and cooked up a fresh batch of chips. They were delcious, crispy and piping hot! Great poster on the wall. Great place!

This place is a positive bargain for fish n chips. Having spent most of my life in London and abroad it was a revelation to come here for the first time. Friendly staff and the huge pile of chips with the biggest cod I’ve ever received was totally unexpected. For what I got for the price was twice as much that I have had elsewhere. The only negative is parking the car on the busy but narrow road. Highly recommended.

I made it just in time as the cinema opposite was about to empty.I went around eight ish, unfortunately o think the chips may have been around a while. Ah well, that's what microwaves are for right? Of I wasn't taking them home I would be disappointed.A large chips and curry sauce were around £3.50.

Use this chippy every week. Lovely couple run it and serve great food with a smile. At a good price. My neighbours have pensioners fish and chips at a price all pensioners could enjoy.

Friendly and nice chips. Sometimes take awhile as seems that the cook to order but least you know its fresh. Last time a went they felt I'd not got enough chips so gave me some extra freebies. I used to work in a chippy when I was 16 long time ago, so I know my chips.

Yes, batter was a little soft but great value for money and didn't spoil my meal, all of us were satisfied and quantity was huge - I had cod, my friend had a kebab and she was very happy with her meal, our son had sausages and fishcakes - all were happy.

Fatty and no flavour. The fish was covered in soggy batter and the chips tasted bitter. It used to be good here but it is rapidly going downhill. Prices have risen too

Have a fish and chips quite few times before and it always tasted great but this time fish was dry and underseasoned and butter was very soggy.

My Wife & I had a Meal Deal, Fish Chips Sausage & Peas, But not such a good deal, after this meal made us both ill. Never again ! This Chip Shop used to be good, with with many people waiting to be severed, Should have realised that it had changed, when there was only one person waiting in front of us. We expected our meal to be good as the wait for our food was quite a while. But as it turned out We suffered & needed to buy something to settle our stomachs. Never again.

Lovely clean chippy inside. Friendly staff. Chips were great not greasy at all. Just a shame it wasn't open on the Sunday lol.

I ordered cod, cheesy chips and mushy peas. The batter wasn't nice, it was soggy, but the portion was very generous. The peas weren't mushy, they were just whole peas sitting in water. Chips were okay, bit dry. My boyfriend had dinner meat, he said it was so greasy that the paper stuck to it and it ended up tasting like paper.

This is a good little chippy that has plenty of choice on the menu. We have found the portion sizes to be plentiful and the food is really well cooked.

The new owners are doing a great job. The fish is a good size with tasty crispy batter and a good portion of chips. Would highly recommend Rainbow. Always good.

Tried this fish and chip shop out recently after reading good review on Trip Advisor. We were not diappointed, Lovely cod, crispy batter - just how it should be - and MASSIVE portions of chips served with a smile - this will be a regular treat for us!

Enjoyed a freshly cooked fish and chips. Worth waiting for the food. Not very busy and new owners are still finding their feet. Conveniently opposite Regal cinema offering the usual kebabs but it's the fish and chips that are worth a visit. Friendly service. Cod and chips twice costs £10.50

Freshly cooked fish and chips, light crispy battered cod (nice and white) and lovely chips. Good service - friendly, chatty. Parking a bit of a pain if busy but well worth the aggro.
