The Rafters Cafe in Bromsgrove

I can't praise this place enough! Absolute hidden gem, we were here for afternoon tea (we had wine too) we were made so welcome and the food was beautiful, the homemade sausage rolls were scrumptious and the cakes n scones were fresh baked and heaven! Nothing was too much trouble, prices were great too, we would have happily paid more! Can't wait to come back x

Hard to find , it’s behind farm foods . Had two good value for money breakfasts . Clean and tidy ,freindly staff , I will return

What can I say? Hidden away from the main road, this gem of a cafe was a great place to stop. Lovely attentive staff, who quickly cleaned down tables in this bustling eatery. Tables turned over constantly, but it never felt cramped. The full English was very good & my requests for crispy bacon & asking what spread they used on the toast was swiftly arranged. If I'm ever back in this neck of the woods I will definitely return!

Rafters is an absolute hidden gem. Love the place Paul & Jo are so welcoming & hard working they cater for everyone & not to forget Jo in the kitchen also. I go various times breakfast mid & late afternoon there’s always a quirky funky dish they can conjure up for me. It’s also licensed and they hold functions. I’m a grafter then I’m a Rafter but I sometimes Raft before or after work just depends. But overall a great experience great food great staff & some funky dishes what is there not to like.

A hidden gem, I love this place a hidden away by the side of farm foods off the new road in Rubery, a great little cafe bar, clean welcoming with really nice owners and friendly staff, with a lovely breakfast menu which is really good value for money and good quality produce the eggs are always perfectly cooked, I always go for a Rafters breakfast a large breakfast and always my eyes too big for my belly but nice though . Oh a great mug of tea comes with that and plenty of toast, I fully recommend Rafters it can get busy in there due to being a very popular place, that’s why it’s number 1 out of 6 in rubery on trip advisor,

Great cafe, found as in the area and now always stop when there. Pancakes are great as well as all the other food! Staff are very friendly and welcoming! Will be back when next in the area

Small friendly cafe with a Great atmosphere and excellent food! Food cooked fresh and always worth the wait! Its very busy Friday and Saturdays so be prepared to wait that little bit longer, I promise you you won’t be leaving disappointed!!

Rafters in Rubery is an amazing place to come for either breakfast, dinner, tea or all 3. Amazing quirky little hideaway in Rubery friendly staff & great home made food, from a cooked brekky to an Avacado smash, to a Sunday roast or jerk chicken with rice & peas. Plus many more combos. Love the place, Paul & Jo run a great cafe/bar which also is licensed with evening entertainment an all round great place to dine! Love the place!

A lovely cafe/bar. Great coffee and a really fresh, tasty pork roll with delicious chunky chips for just over a tenner. Bargain!

We have now been here a few times as a good lunch stop on our journey. The food is so good - full breakfast or pancakes being a firm favourite with us all. Very friendly, easy to find, always busy! Great iced coffee!

I often go there for pulled pork baps, as a takeaway for lunch. Generous amount of pork in gravy. Grandchildren love to go there for milk shakes and cake.

We did not know the area so chose Rafters based on the reviews. This is a great cafe, service was excellent, food was really good and piping hot and my egg cooked exactly as I liked! Portions were generous. Next time I’m having the pancakes please!

Rafters is a brilliant place to meet up for breakfast, lunch or just for a coffee catch up chat with friends. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and there is a warm and positive vibe you get from other customers- some regular- some new. I give the food a 5star rating for being delicious with good sized portions. See photos of vegetarian breakfast and they do the best poached eggs.

A real hidden gem located behind the Co-op. Well frequented by locals who know a good thing, and from the banter we’ll known and cherished by the staff. Nice touches - little milk bottle and ranking for the tea bag giving perfect control of the tea. Will serve cold beans too, even if it means opening another huge tin. Thankyou.

I go here for lunch every week with work friends only having less than a hour we ring and pre order our food.It is always ready and our table reserved the staff are so friendly and the food is good and good value for money.

Was taken here by my Half Brother for a quick lunch when I visited him. Friendly welcome from staff. Ordered the BLT Sandwich. Excellent with really tasty bacon, very reasonably priced. We are regular visitors to this outstanding cafe. The food is always amazing especially my favourite the house salad with spicy chicken the staff are all amazing and treat us like friends so much so we are on first name terms especially Sarah who every time we go in gives my 6 year old daughter a hug which makes her feel so special. Basically I can’t fault anything about Rafters so make sure you give it a try

This wonderful cafe is a warm friendly place to be. The staff are incredible nothing is too much trouble,they are warm and friendly and hard working. The food is amazing and the standard is very high. This is no greasy spoon. This is beautiful food served by beautiful people and cooked by amazing talent, in a clean and cosy cafe. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Stop by here and you will not regret it.

Called at Rafters for a full English breakfast, and was not disappointed. Cooked freshly and the service was excellent as always.

I have been here quite a few times now and I have never been disappointed. Most recently we went here as a family for Sunday lunch and it was exceptional! Unfortunately we could not go back this time for the live band which was on later, hopefully next time!! The staff are attentive and the atmosphere is great. I would highly recommended Rafters. An it’s lovely that your in Rubery.

We all enjoyed our meal and our visit .The place is very friendly and the staff are exceptionally helpful .The food was served up well .lt was very tasty and value for money .The menu has a regular base but there were extras for the day . I have told several people about the place and once they have been they return on a regular basis .

My grandson won a voucher in the school fete tombola. Best thing he's done. We took advantage of the opportunity to make a visit to the Rafters cafe in Rubery. The staff were excellent. Good vibrant atmosphere. Fabulous fresh cooked food. Breakfasts, simple lunches and of course cake. Give it a whirl. You won't regret it.
