The Queens Hotel - JD Wetherspoon in Rotherham

Ordered and food came out lukewarm at best, and the order even came out wrong and eggs were overcooked completely. Bean portions were laughable and nothing like should have been. Staff did their best but not good enough

Food was cold could have been better

Went for breakfast, no eggs at all. Food was basic but edible. Staff were friendly

Didn't eat here. We just had a coffees, last time in here was in the 1990s, which certainly changed. it looks brilliant, worth another visit to try the food.

It was a bit cold inside when we visited for breakfast. Quickly served food, but they could have heated the beans better (there always seems to be one cold item).

Good spoons, food acceptable. Appears to lack stout and porter beers based on visits over last 12mths. Plenty of seating , nice friendly atmosphere

Pleasant friendly place. Plenty of room. Service very good and food was good. Car park not very big and was awkward to find. But enjoyable 2 hours there.

Bar staff need to sort their attitudes out .pubs going downhill faster than a roller coaster. Will be going to the new pub opening and plus Don Jon is much better staffed

This is a basic bakery it's supposed to be a truck stop the food and facilities on site for hgv drivers are for food very poor showers are dated and some are broken it's a hard stand parking but security is a source of concern and it's quite noisy as well would only stop as a last resort

Typical wetherspoons pub. Prices good, really busy, toilets actually on the ground floor, carpsrk at rear. Only issue stairs very steep lead up and winter could be slippy.

Warm and very welcoming. Perfect pour on the Leffe Blonde 👌🏻 Helpful staff, (the bar supervisor (Liam) especially) Good food and chatty atmosphere at the right price. Recommended for an easy lunchtime 👍🏻

Seeing what guest ales are on is a great reason to visit. Then mop it up with some tasty grub. 👍🏼

The queen's hotel is a nice wetherspoons pub. The staff were friendly and the service quick, even though it was very busy on the evening we called in. There was a good choice of beers, lagers, and cider, including five hand-pulled cask conditioned real ales. The ones i tried were in excellent condition and three hand pulled ciders. There was a pub quiz on the night we called in, Something I have never seen in wetherspoons before. There is an outside seating area and a car park.

Really can't knock spoons for quality vs bang per buck ratio. Breakfasts and meals have been on point after multiple visits

Very rude customer service by the bar staff 🙄 I was served food that had a dead slug in the salad and then told I couldn't go in for a month just because I sent the salad back and we also had to wait half an hour just for a desert

This is probably the worst I've eaten in. The pizza was burnt and under cooked at the same time. The place was dirty and I'm pretty sure it made me ill the next day.

This was a superb pub for drinking, with a sleek wooden design! This is used as the theme front of the architecture throughout, counter is well-presented and staff were nice but a bit slow. I enjoyed a Raspberry Mojito, sitting comfortably at a clean table.

Massive 'spoons at the crossroads in Maltby. It's what you'd expect: decent beer and food at seriously good prices. However, one cannot deny it's situated in a rather economically challenged town.

Was nice but the grilled chicken was tough to eat.

Went here for dinner ordered steak etc the steak was supposed to be 8oz it was small thin very fatty and chewy and a very small amount of chips.2 of us ordered this and we both left it .I then ordered apple crumble and ice cream as still hungry.When it arrived when you put the spoon over the crumble it went to a smooth paste so I left that. I will never eat their again and I often eat in wetherspoons in a different area and it's always good.Someone had gammon but it was so thin you could mistake it for fatty bacon.A child was riding a scooter up and down where we were eating

Beautiful building with a toilet that is not upstairs. Not the biggest car park. Great size bar. Huge pub with outdoor seating. Lift from the car park to the pub level. Clean and tidy If it's good enough for the prime minister 😎

There were a few hours spent here having a couple of drinks and ticking another Wetherspoons of my list.Only downside to this place is the smell coming from the female toilets that needs sorting.Well worth a visit if your in the area.

We like going for a reasonable family meal when cooking time is limited. We manage to get 4 meals and drinks for less than £40.

It's a weatherspoons, so food is cheap, but it's mediocre. Maltby is a poor area, and the atmosphere reflects that. Staff were great though. The menu needs to change.

We had a diamond wedding celebration tonight and the staff went above and beyond , Thankyou so much to each and everyone of you 👌

I ordered a traditional breakfast with mushrooms and black pudding and unlimited hot drinks. The breakfast was nicely presented, but some of it was cold. I got another breakfast without the mushrooms. Pleasant service and a very good ale (see photos). Homage to cricket and horseracing. Worth another try.

One of the cleanest Wetherspoons ..And I've visited over 400.

The first time we have visited, we went for breakfast. And what I like is there's a choice, not just a vary on a fry up. We were relaxed and had a pleasant time, no rush, with plenty of coffee 😁. What I do like about any Weatherspoons I've visited is how they give you local history snippets. Yep hope to visit again.

Was quite disappointed with the eggs benidic. The eggs were hard not runny it had ham with instead of salmon it and the sauce was thick not thin blobbed on top with rocket on the side no chives cut up on top. The fruit I ordered was sour the strawberrys were sour and left a weird taste in my mouth. Very unhappy with it. My partner ordered a big breakfast and came home still hungry he had no more than a table spoon of beans the mushroom left a horrible taste in his mouth and there were no tomatoes. Waist of 29.00

Only reason I have to keep on living anymore is drinking in this pub after the wife left. 5 stars.

When dealing with a small matter the staff came with 4 members and were very rude and completely dismissive. They were passive aggressive and what could have been dealt with easily they were very much on a power trip and totally uncalled for.

Drunk locals loudly swearing when kids were about(in the morning)

Not a bad little pub went yesterday with my daughter-in-law and granddaughter (I adopted children do not understand anything regarding food for babies) but went up to the bar asked them for hot water, sterilised, cold water in a jug? The girl behind the bar knew exactly what I wanted. And sorted me out within two minutes baby happy as a lamb. Thank you xxx good job x

Great service & food, came in and found a booth around midday. Lad came along with a trolley and cleaned my table, as it seems a herd of buffalo were dining at the table before me. Ordered a medium rare steak with JD sauce.

Impromptu visit due to not finding anywhere for a Sunday dinner. Was clean and tidy. Not Sunday dinner but menu was extensive. Service was quick and polite staff.

Fairly cheap meals or order a deal 3 plates for 12ish pounds

Went for dinner today as usually do different chef had large mixed grill came egg and meats undercooked so took back they brought another egg cooked to point of felt like rubber meats dry and over cooked will check in future which chefs on before I order

Food was lovely and hot unlike some weatherspoons , only let down was finding a clean table , lots of dirty tables full of glasses and pots not been dealt with and it wasn't over busy

Friendly enough, locals said hello as this was my first time there as I missed the bus home so what better way to kill an hour! Beer cheap as you would expect after all it's A Spoons!

service was rather slow, we placed orders on phone and for some reason starter plates came out same time as main meal! food was nice when it actually arrived, I place an order just for 1 soft drink and was waiting almost 10mins
