Food was great but service was slow due to being so busy which is understandable

I had an all day breakfast while I was waiting for my train, you definitely get value for money, but I ordered an extra black pudding which turned up burnt to a crisp which was disappointing Other than that it was an ok breakfast for a decent price. Staff were really pleasant

I was waiting for my boyfriend and had a pint in here, it's a lovely pub and was nice to sit by the river.

Tried to order food asked for mixed grill and for rump to be cooked well done was told not possible everything was to be cooked medium, also tried to order ham egg and chips and was told no eggs and Icouldn't have the ham on its own with chips , so ended up with nothing . So couldn't review anything.

Breakfast arrived with no egg, or explanation of why there was no egg.

Big Wetherspoons pub. One of the better ones! Outdoor seating. By the river. Nice setting. Busy on match days. Home fans only.

It's a Spoons! You know exactly what you're getting. It's a great location next to the water and a good starting walking point for Norwich.

Just had a drink here. Lovely atmosphere. Could have stayed all day!

One of the better Wetherspoons, a really nice outdoor seating area by the river and the tables in the bar area are nicely spaced out. Would have scored higher on atmosphere but on a Monday night in January the venue was fairly quiet. The venue plays music which is unusual for a Wetherspoons but a nice addition which helps when the bar isn’t so busy

I’ve been coming to this Wetherspoons for years, and never really had any issues. The food is always good, usually pretty fast service and good servers. Although when we visited yesterday it was quite busy and we managed to get a table upstairs, one of us asked if it would be okay if the server could clear the table and wipe it down, but the server replied with “well you shouldn’t have sat at a dirty table then should you?”, myself and others have asked this probably hundreds of times over the years and it’s never been an issue, not sure why it was this time.

Now I know wetherspoons is a cheap and cheerful establishment, however the breakfast today was horrendous. Eggs were hard, toast was cold, I had 1 mushroom, the pepsi max was flat. The only thing of a standard I was happy with was the coffee. I do visit different wetherspoons, but I wouldn't recommend getting food here. Staff where friendly enough and the toilets were clean.. New review from 29/12/24 Attended spoons today to my 2 year old daughter and my partner for breakfast, to find it rammmed with football, supporters which is fine that can't be helped. Placed an order at the till, and what I can only describe is a tall dark haired rather rotund male served me at the bar. Extremely rude and not very welcoming at all. One word answers and it genuinely seemed like he didn't want to be here at all. Drinks came out fine with no issue, and I have to say the coffee from the machine was rather nice. Food came out with a long hair In one of them and the other one the order was wrong, however the waitress was rather apologetic and got it sorted swiftly. Overall I can't say I've had the best experience here, considering I go to the Bell or the boundary spoons around once a week... Wouldn't come again I am now done with this spoons

Not very nice place on this visit Table's dirty And not cleared I asked at the bar if someone could wipe the table and he pointed at a cloth on the bar for me to use haven't been there since Nobody seem bothered

Cheap food, cheap beer in a light airy modern building, with plenty of space although beware it can get really busy at times if bussle isn't your thing, especially when Norwich play at home.

Cold beans,burnt bacon and black pudding. Had to eat it as the service was so slow and I had a train to catch. A refund was given immediately with no comment or apology.

The value for money is amazing. We were going to the cinema and decided to have something to eat on the way.

Always good energy in this place, and on 99% of my visits i have loved the whole package. Regrettable that i have to write this review of my experience today however, this is a hospitality industry and customer service is paramount regardless of whether or not you are having a bad day, leave it at home. Came in for a pint before the cinema and was served by an attentive chap on the bar, he went a started pouring my pint as Richard the Site manager came into site. I then fancied a Monster and thought instead of waiting for my bertender to come back, to ask Richard as to whether he would be able to quickly grab me one, in the interest of efficiency and my desire for the sugar rush. To this Richard turned, looked at me with an expression of disdain and said 'What', shook his head then pulled his attention back to the til in which he was in the process of using. Richard i have seen is a great manager, always bustling about the pub helping where it is needed and ensuring all staff are working to their greatest capacity, however on this visit, it just really annoyed me that this was his customer service to somebody he undoubtedly recognised as being a regular here. Great managers need to be held to the highest standard, this meaning they are called out when they are in the wrong. On this occasion Richard failed to maintain the great expectations he always retained. After walking away from the bar to play on the fruit machine, i decided to consult with another manager/supervisor by the name of Reece. He apologised for the experience and assured me he would speak to Richard regarding this. Reece is the reason this review is a 2* and not a 1*. Hopefully this wont be seen as "oh great another keyboard warrior" and point check for Richard to take on board.

It's a big old spoons with same old sticky floor and tables. The loos are, predictably, just beyond Yeman and in a galaxy far far away. This one is near the river too. What's not to like!?😁

Dirty cutlery. Every time I go for breakfast the cutlery is dirty and when you ask for replacements, they are usually just as bad.

Cheep great food ... Very good Guinness

Filthy cutlery, asked for it to be replaced only to be given dirtier cutlery. Plate was covered in filth. Dirty carpet, dirty tables. Didn't eat my food as I figured the kitchen utensils might have come out of the same dishwasher. It was hard to tell if the top of the plate was clean as the pattern disguises anything.

I meet up with friends once or twice a month and we always enjoy the food very good prices and the staff are great.

Cheap drink and cheap Coffee and good value food which I always enjoy. Big open pub with plenty of space outside and more room upstairs It's Weatherspoons so good value, nice atmosphere, never seen any trouble and by the river. Always had good service here and staff are also willing to help Only complaint is busy times you might have to wait a while to order, and maybe wait for food

My son and I always use this restaurant before a home match, and when we visit Norwich. Excellent all round.

Large wetherspoons a fairly short walk from the station, with loads of inside and out and also upstairs. Would definitely make it my first port of call next time I'm in Norwich.

Was a good experience the parsooln clearing the table before us was friendly and helpful, but my son has trouble walking and no way could get upstairs to toilet. Would be nice to have a disabled toilet downstairs.

Classic Witherspoon's but not one of the better ones. Portion sizes for adults deli menu were tiny. We didn't order from the smaller delivery menu but seemed as though that's what we were served. The new chicken shawarma wrap is great though just not sure why that and the chips served were so small. Can't fault the quality of it for what you pay. Service was prompt and managed to get someone to clean the table we chose to sit at. Condiments you help yourself to so plenty there and great options too. Was fairly busy when we went in but still plenty of tables free. Not the best not the worst wether spoons but the other two in Norwich centre are normally alot better in my opinion.

Good large pub for a cheap drink and food. Good atmosphere can get very busy. Toilets are a long way away if you are sitting down stair. Overall not a bad Wetherspoons.

Typical city Wetherspoons with the usual offer. Very busy on Norwich match days - home fans only. Tables are a bit cramped but there are plenty plus an outside terrace. If placing orders via the Wetherspoons app, they are filled quickly even when the pub is busy.

Busy for time of day plenty of bar staff only 3 or 4 infront. Using the app is bit mind boggling at first.

Pretty good really especially during the day. At night it sometimes gets full of youngsters looking to get gallons of alcohol down their necks in the fastest time possible! All in all, not a bad pub. Very good for families during day.

Birthday lunch for ten, drinks delivery to the table was quick, and the food came soon after, all pretty much at the same time, excellent staff good food no complaints from anyone

Great app and easy to order food and drinks

Overall restaurant looks tidy and is spacious, food was quick however was not good quality. Food was cold and at a poor standard. We ordered the pizza which was more like stale flatbread with last night's pasta sauce put on top with a very light sprinkle of cheese, this was for all 3 pizzas ordered. The cheesy chips again had barely any cheese on them which is massively disappointing if you're a cheese fan like myself and also annoying when youve paid extra for it too the other little platters we ordered were also cold and felt as if they had been sitting on the side for a while. Staff seem friendly and service was good despite it being busy at that particular time. Reccomend for a pint but not for food

Me and my friend were having coffee there and as according to their website states you are allowed unlimited coffee or tea refills from their coffee machine. So we were enjoying this offer and upon refilling our 4th cup, a male staff standing nearby had the cheek to make a remake "oh this is now your 5th cup" . Actually it was 4th! So I said "isn't it allowed?" to which he didn't have much to say! How petty to count how many cups someone is having and no need to say what he said! IF IT SAYS ON THE WEBSITE YOU CAN HAVE UNLIMITED REFILLS, THEN YOU CAN! Besides that, outside area very dirty, as always! But what can you expect from Wetherspoons! Probably won't return.

Just popped in for breakfast as passing with the wife. Coke was semi flat and brought out a long time before the breakfast arrived, so I had to get another drink before breakfast finally did arrive. Ordered some honey bacon as an extra, which was well over baked and grim. The rest was barely warm, and i do mean b arely warm while the beans were stone cold. The only hot thing on the plate was the hash browns, which were hot 🔥 I'm very disappointed. Will not be visiting this Wetherspoons again. Shame

Nice and reasonably priced pub. Food is okay, the steak was cooked the way it was requested. Great deal for alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The place is huge so it's easy to find a table. Ordering is easy as u don't have to wait for the staff to come to you. Either order at the bar or scan the QR code on the menu. Condiments are available in one corner so you can help yourself with anything you want, ketchup, mayo, tartare, salt, etc...

Sip your beer in the garden and in a pleasant environment. Generally busy and crowded but enjoyable. This must be one of the popular places in Norwich. If you come to Norwich by train, you can relieve the tiredness of your journey or your hunger by walking 100 meters as soon as you get off the station.

Great spoons, food was really good, service was quick and the staff were friendly. It’s a great location for a quick stop off, plenty of seats and a nice view of the river.

Great afternoon spent in front of river

Very poor, sat outside tables dirty full of litter, dirty plates on table... The floor area around tables outside was full of litter . Definitely would not recommend it. Outside all the other restaurants' cinema bowling area on riverside where lovely and litter free . Wetherspoon riverside, you need to clean up your restaurant. We all decided not to stop and eat or have any drinks..

I went to weather spoons late this evening and I was sitting outside and already ordered food and drink and a member of staff refused me and my mum we had to leave as we had a 12 week puppy with us we are sitting outside. My 12 week puppy was sitting not causing any noise or problems. One of the staff members came and spoke to us in an aggressive manner and told us we had to leave straight away. I said I’ve already order and paid for my food and drink but he demanded we left straight away. I will never recommend anyone to go there as the way we was treated very unfairly. (My 12 week is a cockapoo) litter was all on the floor not been swept up tables had not been cleared very disgusting. The sign was not cleaner or bigger enough. But I’m currently training him as a support dog And the sign said as I was shown by the member of staff support dogs only. I can’t see what the problem is.

I visited with my family as a quick and easy dinner before heading out afterwards. I was told the wait for food was about 30 mins - which I thought was fine and easy to amuse my 5 and 7 year old for this time. 45 mins later I chased up the food to be told it was next to come out. After an HOUR, upon chasing AGAIN i was told they didn’t have my order (despite having a confirmation via the app) and it was ‘lost but we don’t know why’. I was told it had been refunded via the tills (after they then found the order on the system). I’ve sent five emails chasing my refund and it’s still not been received. Visiting here wasn’t quick, wasn’t easy and cost me over £20 for the pleasure :(

Nice place being a chain pub/restaurant. Low lighting in evening made it difficult to read menu. Feeling a draft, near staircase, made it a little uncomfortable for me though seating was adequate. Food service was quick & easy (on app) in delivery & clearing. Foods were nice too, simple meal but filling! Thx

After going to the nike store we fancied some thing for lunch and decided to come here, we found a table and ordered our food,a pizza and 3 chicken wraps. Our drinks arrived quickly by a friendly waitress who had a smile and greeted us with a friendly manner followed by our food which was absolutely lovely, hot and delicious. Sadly I can't remember the waitresses name but her service was top notch.

I went with a group of my friends to celebrate a friends birthday and we have a feeling the staff refused us service and refunded our drinks as they didn’t want to keep serving us when they were busy. I can tell the place is severely understaffed as we waited 25 minutes for drinks but most of us had 2 drinks and a shot each and we got told we were being refused service due to a complaint from down stairs (this most likely being the bar staff) believing we had to much to drink when 9/10 of us in our group weren’t even on the borderline of tipsy and we were only there for about an hour and a half. So we just believe that as we were ordering so much (as we were a large table) that we were just being refused service. Not a great look and disappointing as it actually has some great menu items you can’t get at any other spoons in the county.

Lovely venue, but the main thing that lets it down is the amount of drinks served in filthy glasses. End up drinking from the bottle because I keep getting served dirty glasses.

Perfect summer evening drunk outside. The peking chicken in wok dish should stay permanent. Top atmosphere no trouble. Shame we don't have longer summers as outside was fantastic 👌

Modern but rather grubby Wetherspoons. Food not up to the standards of old either. Says it all that on a pleasant Saturday lunchtime the place was only half full. Are Wetherspoons in so much trouble that they cannot give their pubs a deep clean and replace tatty furnishings?

Drinks came when our food was eaten, ordered via the app, place wasn't busy, other wetherspoons the drinks are usually before the food???????

Outside tables dirty and sticky. Gull and pigeons all over uncleared plates. Elderly boozers attracted by low prices. I will never go to a Wetherspoons pub again. Hated everything about it . Really nasty.

Outside sitting eating area on the river front. Loads of seating inside, upside, and downstairs. Food reasonably priced. Good size portions. You can order on the App or at the bar. Lots of food choices.

I had a buttermilk chicken burger with salad. As seen in the photo the salad was poor. Good for drinks. But not for food.

Cheap I know, but food miles apart from other whether spoons, this restaurant is hopeless at burgers, not had one here for a while, took the plunge yesterday the chips were hot onion rings were hot burger was like warm dried out probably from under a heat lamp and bacon seemed like it was straight from the fridge. Would of sent back too however needed to go but this meal came out as the guests I was eating with had almost finished eating and this was all on the same order, well done!!!!! Might be cheap and cheerful but getting 3 meals out at the same time and hot at the point of delivery should not be, beer much better than food unless of course you have had too much beer so food is more palatable.

I love my spoons however we waited for an hour for food whilst customers who came in after where getting served well before after speaking to the manager been told foods now coming the food was good however the service and time was awful and had been offered refund back but kept being walking past with no urgency or refund
