Quiet disappointed ! Been going frequently in the past two and a half years and never had a complaint but the last couple of times the service has been poor !!

Beautiful location but awkward experience. It’s a good spot to grab a coffee and go for a walk but it’s not possible to have your coffee in a takeaway cup so you can take it with you when you’re done at the table? Just go to the place next door instead.

Tried this cafè for the first time on my last visit to Poole and what a place! Had the smoked salmon sandwich and a smoothe and they both were delicious. Very interesting menu, lots of soups, paninis, hot and cold drinks, great atmosphere and good service too. I will definitely be coming back!

I’ve used this cafe on many occasions but this morning ie Boxing Day I was very disappointed to be honest we had two breakfasts and two teas. The eggs were very very over cooked if I want a hard boiled egg I would of ordered one The bacon was mostly black burnt Sausages were burnt over cooked and the toast aswell I will use this cafe again if the breakfast is not to standard I will return it and ask for too be cooked again or my money back Iam am sorry to write this comment and the two young girls doing the service seemed like they didn’t want to be there and were not interested a bit in my wife and I oppinion

Had a great breakie at Quay Cafe, fantastic view and breakfast cooked to order at very reasonable cost.

Brilliant! First time was epic! Lots of people everywhere, great atmosphere and the food came so quickly...... And was amazing! Probably one of the top five breakfasts I've ever had. Second time: fish and chips... Sadly, the fish was mostly batter😯, but still acceptable. Definitely, worth a visit as the setting is spot on 👍

Great location and damn fine coffee. Chose my Sunseeker. wife doesn't like the colour, so will have to return it with receipt.

Love this place on Poole Quay for breakfast. Outside seating and loads of it. perfect for people watching! Nice food menu and able to accommodate my young boy. look forward to going back.

Didn't eat here in the end as they were not alergy friendly. Telling me that I would eat these things at home!! I have bowel cancer which has made me allergic to certain foods! No sympathy here!!!!

Lovely cafe on the quayside. Paid parking within 200 yards.

Ordered a ploughmans to share and we were glad we did, It was huge !! . Lovely meal, very fresh and excellent value. Sat outside enjoying the view, finished with a good coffee. We highly recommend this cafe.

Great little stop off for a drink. We had tea (served in a real cup with teapot, rare these days) and cake. Told the waitress we were sharing the cake and she kindly cut it and provided 2 plates and brought it over for us. Great service.

Really great cafe on the waterfront offering lots of tasty food, cakes and snacks, also good coffee! Service is very friendly - lots of gluten free choices if you have dietary restrictions. We will be back

On a sunny morning, we decided to sit outside in front of the marina for breakfast. The view was beautiful, and the sun was shining, but unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet expectations. The bacon was overcooked to the point of being inedible, and the Eggs Florentine had an excessive amount of sauce. While the location is excellent, the chef needs to make some improvements to the food quality.

After the disaster of the Quay Wetherspoons, we were warmly welcomed with our dog at The Quay Café - and could sit inside or outside if we wished. Lovely friendly staff, delicious breakfast and highly recommended. A must if you are visiting Poole Quay and want great food and service with a smile 😊

I discovered this place by accident and am so pleased I did. Really nice fresh food, friendly service and a lovely location to sit in the sun and watch the world go by. A big selling point is how reasonably priced the food is. I will go out of my way to come here again in the future for a post- run brunch and coffee.

Had a lovely croque monsuir last Saturday.

Hmmm... A distinctly average first impression of this cafe. Walked in at 12pm. No sausage rolls, no pasties, no pies. Ordered 3 sandwiches which took 30 minutes to arrive at our table! The sandwiches were 'OK' nothing special. Our table was only cleared of the previous occupants crockery and leftovers AFTER we received our food. This was happening at every table whilst staff sat having their lunch in front of everyone! Not a good look! In response to another review I noticed that the management blamed the temporary staff (how do you feel about that temporary staff?!). Maybe the management should look in the mirror before blaming others! We were going to try one of the tasty looking cakes but just wanted to get out. Need to do better!

One of the worst cafes I’ve ever been to, don’t get me wrong i looked nice but the food wasn’t good. Bacon only cooled on one side, sausages that still roamed my plate. The staff getting stingy over buying two teabags for two people. Although the water was nice and so was the tesco meal deal next door. £50 wasted (£4.99 wasn’t though)

The worst cafe I’ve ever been to. Bacon cooked on one side only eggs microwaved food cold the sausage was honestly horrendous made me feel ill. Even my kids hated the food and they eat anything. Staff was very rude and unfriendly

Not friendly if you wanna work on your laptop for a bit. Got kicked out after 2 hours, even though I kept buying things. Spent close to £20 so it was more than fair and the place was half empty so I wasn’t taking anyone’s seat. Was told it’s not an internet cafe, yet the WiFi password is on the wall. Go figure.

Great choices for breakfasts and tea/coffees cakes etc. Friendly helpful staff. Clean, bright cafe right on the front of the quay, can sit inside or outside.

OK breakfast, very busy as bank Holiday Monday when we visited, 30 minutes wait for oK food. Dreadful toilets and lots of barking dogs 🐕 and screaming kids

Had a lovely slice of banoffee cake and a strawberry milkshake. Excellent service from Maria who does an outstanding job of serving as well as waiting on eager tables.

Had to move table because of a "regular customer". Also, many tables are reserved. The staff were very apologetic, however, and we did get seated . It was exceptionally busy Sunday morning, but it flowed well. The half grill breakfast was more than enough and was very tasty, as was the coffee 😋. I would recommend this establishment, but breakfast ends at 11.30. Get there early to avoid disappointment.

Beautiful selection of cakes. Perfect place to sit outside for lunch. We enjoyed a toastie each. One of them Ham & Cheese the other Cheese & Onion. The quality of raw white onion in the cheese & onion toastie was a little too much. Will def return for a breakfast and some cake!

Got there for 11.30 for breakfast took ages to get served and then was told they only serve lunch from 11.30 even though the menu and Google states lunch from 12 not very clear and they weren't very welcoming or helpful. If their rules are different to what is advertised they should change the time on the menu, change Google info and maybe even put up a sign for people. We ate at a more accommodating cafe down the road.

Had breakfast here and it was pretty good value for what we got

I have just been in here for a birthday brunch with my daughter and grandchildren, I asked for an americano with hot milk on the side, when it came, I went to pour the milk in and a blob of froth fell into my coffee, I went to the counter and asked the Manageress/ owner if I could have a little more milk as it was just froth in the jug, she scolwed at me and said it would be 30p. when I repeated that the original "Milk" was just froth, she just insisted that it will be 30p

Missed breakfast but gone for Cranberry batch. Busy inside. Weather wise, stuning.

Stood at the till waiting for service whilst staff did other things they considered more important for some minutes. Unable to make eye contact with anyone. Eventually I left and went next door where people understood the idea of serving customers

We were visiting this cafe couple times per year for some years now. feeling like something is missing/changed. Or maybe because it was quite busy we weren't blown away with food and coffee.

Delicious gluten free cream tea! Staff are friendly and set up tables for 8 of us on a walk in basis.

Poor Coffee out of an automatic machine - when there is a proper espresso machine there that none of the staff can use. Still not one place on the Quay that can deliver a proper coffee.

Busy today as the sun was shining but there's plenty of tables. Had a lovely prawn sandwich and chips. Great selection of cakes. Perfect place to sit and watch the world go by. Staff were really friendly and efficient.

Four of us visited 28/04/23 for lunch, sitting outside. We had 2 x scampi, which was tasty and hot, and good chips. Also 2 x jacket potatoes. Cafe is nice and clean, lovely decor inside, plenty of seating so even if busy should still be alright for a table. Staff were friendly. Location is good as you can sit outside and watch the boats. Dog friendly which is why we chose it.

Good service and great food. I would have given 5 stars but table service would be prefered. We had to pay three times as we had coffee before ordering breakfast, then coffee again after breakfast.

If you're on Poole Quay and wasn't the best breakfast ever then stop by here!! We managed to get breakfast just before they started lunch and it was absolutely delicious. The team were super friendly and efficient. This restaurant gets super busy too from the time they open so be prepared to wait for a table at peak times.

Waited outside for 30 minutes in the cold after ordering , we then saw an empty table inside and asked if we could move inside , an elderly blonde lady then snapped at us and said it would confuse the kitchen even though we told her our original table number , when the food arrived the young waitress was very apologetic and the manager then offered us drinks as an apology , shame as the foot itself was lovely.

Three of us were staying in Poole for 2 days room only and ate here for breakfast on the 2nd day, wish I'd found it on the first day. Quite an upmarket place for a breakfast, it was steady with customers, obviously people out for a walk or cycle. Can't fault the food, good quality sausages, and good service.

Roomy and dog friendly. Service a bit variable. Hot chocolate nothing special. Wheelchair accessible.

Found the manager quite rude when ordering food. We went for breakfast, I only asked to change the hash browns for extra mushrooms and was told they couldn’t as it was too busy! This was the quietest we’d seen ever it, as there was plenty of empty tables and no que. Finally they agreed but wished they hadn’t bothered! The mushrooms were wet with no flavour. Bacon was tough and chewy, the rest of the breakfast was simply flavourless!! A waste of money! We will now look for a new breakfast venue for our next visit.

Had a very nice gluten free toasted tuna mayo sandwich - it's been a while as I find it so hard to eat out being a coeliac, the restaurant industry do not cater for us very well, but the Quay Cafe did, their gluten free apple cake and cream was delightful. Big thumbs up

We'd been before with no problems, but service was slow this time and the food not very hot. One item had to be sent back to be reheated and they forgot to bring it back.

Quick service great staff clean and pleasant atmosphere

Every time me and my mates stay in poole we always visit here at least once. The food is very nice and fresh and has very good quality. The staff are all nice and know what they are doing and is in a nice location looking out into the harbour. Would give 5 stars but the last two times we went the price has increased when it was already expensive, not to mention they have lowered the portion sizes.

Hmm could do so much better. They are always over welmed. It's set up in a chaotic fashion and so under staffed.

Staff and food was excellent, as was the view into the marina. Had the poached eggs on toast and a cappuccino and both were excellent!
