The Pullman at the Railway Hotel in New Forest

Characterful building. Very nicely set out restaurant with exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food was absolutely delicious (only downfall was that they were out of a few things so slightly less options). There were 4 of us and we had starters, mains and desserts. Every dish was tasty and full of flavour (all 4 plates were clean at the end of each course but that's not to say the portions were tiny!). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

What a super environment. Quite unique in it's decor. Sunday lunch was first class with good service. Highly recommended, we will be back soon. The cost of their Christmas weekend, full board, looks very good value

What can I say, between us we had the roast beef and roast pork and they were both probably the best Sunday lunch ever (and we’ve had a lot). The only way they could improve would be with cauliflower cheese, but that’s just me! Wish we’d had room for pud! Great service.

Refurbished beautifully to a high standard in a railway style. The restaurant has been decorated just like a Pullman coach with comfortable carriage type seating, curtains around the 'carriage windows' and even overhead luggage racks. The food was superb - everything cooked to perfection, tasted wonderful and there was a great choice of gluten free options. The staff were professional but friendly. We enjoyed the whole experience from start to finish and will definitely be going back.

I went with my son and some friends for lunch and as it was a lovely sunny day we sat in the courtyard, just as the inside is railway-themed the courtyard is like a train station, with pretty railway cottages, a platform and an observation car going through a tunnel. We were looked after by a very attentive waiter and nothing was too much trouble, we all had drinks to start and water was also provided for the table. My son enjoyed a meal from the lunchtime special set menu, you can have two or three courses (great value, this would be my top tip), he opted for the Fish and Chips followed by ice cream and couldnt recommend it enough. I had a lighter meal from the sandwich menu and enjoyed a Bacon and Brie sandwich and a side of chips. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we can not wait to return. If you are in the New Forest near Fordingbridge it is worth a vist!
