Food was excellent. Pork belly is really really nice. Prawns were good. My daughter liked the meatballs very much along with the chips. The Colombian styled walls are full of joy and they make me happy seeing all the colours.

Great food and hospitality all evening. Excellent recommendations of choice starters and mains. Challenged with the pepper sauce and extra side. Seafood is delicious and the wings were fall off the bone succulent. William is a star host and makes you feel at home.

Food was fair. A home cooked style meal. Really disappointing thing is that they added extra onto the price of most of the items on our bill just to bump it up. I hate that kind of behaviour. Then asked if I was going to give them a tip too. Left me with that kind of scammed tourist feeling in my own neck of the woods.

Delicious food, made and served with passion and care. Great value and a good selection for all palates. Good for meat eaters or vegans. We had jerk chicken, cod cakes with spicy ginger sauce, cassava, haloumi with plantain, rice with lentils and spices. Everything had so much flavour. Portions were just right; a main and a side were comfortably filling. Music was fun and atmospheric. Will definitely visit again.

We are fairly regular visitors to The Provincial and were really pleased that post-Lockdown we could go back and support a great little local restaurant. We almost always go for a mixture of tapas dishes which are fresh, unpretentious, and invariably excellent. We particularly like the codfish fritters and the goat’s cheese croquettes. The staff are super friendly and the owner goes out and buys the ingredients every day. Great value for money - the six dishes and a litre of sangria for £45 will fill a couple up.

Happy to see this longstanding Brixton market restaurant back after the lockdown. As so much of the market is being taken over by big names having an independent restaurant as good as this a very good thing. The restaurant serves a wide range of popular Latin American dishes from Peru, Colombia and more. Everything we have eaten is delicious. The owner shops daily at Billingsgate market to get the freshest fish in London and ensures high quality, home stylecooking. Highly recommend for brunch or dinner.

This is by far the best restaurant in Brixton for a Latin breakfast. The food is authentic & incredible, the service is wonderful and great strong cocktails! The food is well priced and we come here for our breakfast all the time. The dinners are also amazing and portions are massive. Would really recommend to anyone visiting Brixton for a brunch or dinner.

We were a group of friends and all enjoyed the food at The Provincial. There were dishes mainly from Colombia , and some few from Peru . The food seem to be very authentic and it was delicious. The amounts are generous and I loved the Chaufa and some of my friends took some vegetarian tapas and they loved them too. The prices were reasonable and the service was friendly .

We arrived at 12pm for brunch, was told to move tables twice for a booking which the staff had forgotten about! 1 hour later, we were told one of the dishes we ordered was unavailable, only when we asked. Dreadful service. If in the area go to capricosa next door, which is amazing

It was honestly the best food I have ever tasted let alone the best veggie food, so fresh and the flavours were fabulous! On top of this the cocktails are amazing, William brought us out free prosecco for our friends birthday and gave us chocolate! Definitely give this place a try, you will not be disappointed

Digerito tutto perfettamente!

The service was really slow. We asked for plantains that we never got. Waiter was crazy busy to handle all the tables and kitchen at the same time. Food was good though but because of the wait I will not go back. Waiter did not even apologize for the time it took to serve us. We waited for about 35 min before getting served.

Came here a few weeks ago for Sunday brunch at around midday and unsurprisingly it was quite busy. What was surprising though, was that they only had one man serving all of the customers indoors and outdoors, along with clearing tables, kitchen porting and making freshly squeezed juices. Myself and my friend arrived and sat down and were asked if we wanted the brunch or the lunch menu. We told the waiter, then 10 minutes later he came back to ask us "do you want lunch or brunch?". That should have been our red warning flag to stand up and walk out, but instead we told him again and waited another 5 minutes or so for him to bring us menus. We read the menu and then waited around 10 minutes before he came back to take our order. To our surprise, he came back to take our order again around 5 minutes later. We waited almost 20 minutes and still no sign of drinks and no sign of him going over to the juicing machine to make them. We asked him if it would be possible to have them soon as we were getting thirsty. Another 10 minutes went by and still no sign of the fruit juices or the tea we had ordered, so my friend spoke to him again to request the drinks. He made hers, brought it to our table, then went off to clear other tables and I was left with no drink. Eventually after another 5 or so minutes he made my drink and brought it over to the table, though it was incredibly light in colour (fresh orange juice) so I asked him what it was. He snapped at me that it was "orange juice", so I tasted it and it tasted fine, but as he walked away I passed it over to my friend to taste. He caught me doing so and came storming back to the table saying "I'm telling you it is orange juice. You've made my day!". We were both totally taken aback and felt like kids being told off by a teacher cause we were caught passing notes. The rest of the brunch consisted of even more waiting around, a less-than-impressive brunch of greasy grilled vegetables on top of scrambled eggs with a little bit of ham ("The Provincial" - pictured) and no tea, though we were actually relieved that the tea was never brought out to us so that we could just eat quickly, each pay our £10 and then leave. Although I was annoyed by the rudeness of the waiter I really don't think it was his fault. I've worked in catering before and I can't imagine how stressful it must be to serve around 15 packed tables, clear them, kitchen port and make drinks for all the customers all on his own. No wonder he was forgetful and snappy to customers when he was so completely rushed off his feet.

Brixton market has many restaurants and cafes - some fancy, some hip and some chilled. This one, I put in the underrated, chilled and budget category. We wanted to have a vegetarian dinner so we picked this place after scrolling down their menu. We got a Provincial Vegetarian Platter, which was really delicious and satisfying. We also had a sourdough soaked in some spicy tomato sauce and avocados on top - was delicious too. Home red wine was cheap yet went down nicely with the food. It was quite a quick service, everything was prepared freshly. The place is small but has good vibes - it really makes you feel like you are in South America with the paintings on the wall.We felt like we have found a gem, there is nothing pretentious about this place, friendly service and delicious food. Ideal if you would like to ignore the hustle and bustle in the market area on weekends.

What a lucky find! We got here after I couldn't find a seat in the other place and as I was hungry I decided to give it a go. We started with a freshly squeezed juices, which were delicious. Then, food arrived, in portions that can feed a family :) Starchy, fried piece of heaven. Really great flavours. Just bear in mind that it will fill you up for hours. Definitely worth a try. Great alternative to the fry up (but don't worry, standard British fry up is also available) On top of that, really nice service, and seeing a momma in the kitchen, will ensure you that food is fantastic and authentic.

We stumbled on this restaurant after our originally planned restaurant had been too busy, and what a great bit of luck that was!We were greeted by a very enthusiastic man, who showed us the menu and told us we could go and get some alcohol and use them BYOB with no corkage. Winner. We had three tapas-y dishes, fish fritters with a lovely spicy sauce, garlic prawns and something else.We then each had a main, which were HUGE. Great portion size (but shouldn't have had the tapas also!). The food quality was good, it was authentically flavoured.Recommended.

We visited for a late lunch on Sunday. The restaurant wasn't busy and we were offered our choice of tables. We chose cod fritters to start which were delicious. Fresh, crispy and served with a lovely ginger and chilli sauce. I then had a vegetarian platter which consisted of a variety of tasty veggie tapas dishes; lentils, roast aubergine, fried cassava and plantain, tortilla and salad. It was an enormous plateful and would probably serve two less hungry people. My dining companion had the pork belly which was served with chips and salad. Another very generous portion. The service was very quick and the staff were friendly and chatty. Beware of the chilli sauce - it's very powerful stuff!

We love Brixton market and have our favourites but we thought we should branch out tonight and try this tapas restaurant which we have walked past a lot. This awesome little restaurant is probably my favourite find in Brixton Village. The owner is super smiley and friendly, and the food is brilliant and reasonably priced.I've now been twice, and will be back as soon as I can. With a huge array of tapas and mains (and a tantalizing special of £36 for 6 tapas and a litre of sangria), you can eat for days and not cover the entire menu. Here's a review of the dishes I've tried, starting with my favourites:1. The ribeye: excellently cooked, tender, juicy and slathered in flavourful provencal sauce - and at only £12 for a massive portion(with golden fries andsalad to boot)2. The aubergine and nuts tapas - rich and wholesome. Order a bit of soft fluffy bread to go with it and I promise you won't be disappointed3. The goats cheese torrada (not sure if I spelled that right)... Grilled vegetables and goats cheese... it's not complicated, just hearty and delicious4. The smokey onion and egg chips - sounds odd, tastes magnificent. Deeply smokey flavour which turns ordinary fries into a taste adventureWe had loads more and everyone loved it, including the pork belly, chorizo in wine, spicy ribs, octopus, vegetarian platter... It's just crazy good. And the owner is such a legend. He encouraged us to go buy our drinks at the cheaper wine store because, and I quote, he "just wants people to try his food".So go do it. Have the ribeye.

Experiencia realmente decepcionante.
