Great little pub , the current landlady has been here just over a year and is creating a great local atmosphere although it’s in the town, my wife and I really enjoy coming here for drinks, having a jukebox is a bonus , they seem to have entertainment on most weekends, staff are always nice and efficient, really happy to recommend here

Didn't have any food here so cannot comment on that but have nipped in a couple of times for refreshment, sadly not a lot to keep me here for long but it's a nice pub all the same, have always felt welcome, often a few familiar faces dotted around so another nice pub here for me, friendly atmosphere.

Not been in for a while, a lady called Jo was serving us all afternoon, lovely lady and good atmosphere.

Fantastic landlord /landlady Good old genuine British pub

Popular bar in Ilkeston, playing a decent range of music too. It's a shame it shuts at midnight at a weekend though. Judging by the two times I've been recently around 23:45, there's so many people still in, that they could easily stay open at least another hour, and have plenty of trade / customers.

Prince of Wales can get very busy at weekends... service is good considering size of the bar.. weekend disco and karaoke.. a popular pub with a cross section of clientele..

Nice pub friendly staff and locals

Located on south street which is one of the main roads in ilkeston I was very pleasantly surprised at how well maintained and the lovely modern interior. Good selection of draught beers on tap and wide range of gin choice too. Private enclosured rear patio smoking area features a wall mounted heater and tables and chairs.

Traditional public house . Well stocked bar with large selection of Better quality traditional beers and lagers , polite hosts eager to serve you that well earned pint at reasonable cost . The pub also has entertainment on at weekends and has a large TV for sports coverage . A must for the serious beer enthusiast , camra visitors welcome , and customers old and new . Please note can get very busy late on Friday and Saturday nights so if you like to sit down at a table , get there early !!!! . At the weekend it is lively late on , and people here are out for a good time , if you lucky enough to get floorspace you could get a bit of dancing done , as it is a full on party atmosphere !!! Highly recommended for those enjoy the traditional British pub atmosphere and classic real ales at reasonable prices . A must place visit in Ilkeston .

Very busy on Saturday nights...disco/ karaoke. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices, excellent fast service at bar. Clean toilets.

I go for the Karaoke on every other Saturday Night but don't live in Ilkeston so wouldn't use it as a regular. The management and staff I've always found to be friendly as is the Karaoke DJ.

Worth a visit if doing a pub crawl of the area.

Great choice of beers, friendly surroundings, nice staff. Now renamed back to its original "Prince of Wales".

It's now been renamed. Still rubbish on all accounts
