Tasty food and good vibes but charged £1 for a bit of extra gravy. Just why? It annoyed me massively after paying for wine, drinks, puddings and starters. Just stingy and unnecessary.

A pub where you get kicked out if you haven’t reserved a table. When you’re told that the reservation is only held for 15 mins and 30 mins later then you get moved by an officious man who may or may not be the manager but isnt willing to try and accommodate paying customers who have been sat inside for hours is less than welcoming, I don’t need this service in a place where I have come to relax with friends

The atmosphere in this pub is fantastic really chilled and relaxing. The staff are do friendly and accommodating. I went with my children and we had one of the best roast beef lunches we have ever had. The beef melted in your mouth and the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were perfect. Thankyou for a lovely afternoon

We came here because we were coming to a gig at Ally Pally and the pub at station was rammed. The barman was very helpful in recommending drinks, which were unusual and excellent , and even in getting us a table. We ordered a vegan flatbread option. It was slow in coming and was so so taste wise (heavy on a sweet tomato relish) but was fresh and fine for what we were after. Overall I would definitely go back for what for us was warm and friendly service and a really good Friday night atmosphere.

Popped in here for something to eat before going to a concert at Alexander Palace. Olly who served us was amazing. Great customer service and so attentive! His knowledge of the beers and ciders was brilliant. The food was so nice! I had the Chicken with Cajun Jambalaya and my sister had the Shepherds Pie which was gorgeous. Great pub very modern and reasonably priced. Will definitely return !

I love this pub, have been going for years it's a relaxed chilled out space with nice wine good beer and friendly staff . We went recently for a couple of drinks and some lunch, the food was terrible . A couple of us ordered the vegan pie which was 2 pieces of dried out pastry with a chopped carrot centre accompanied by even drier chips. This is so disappointing, even more so because in the past they've had amazing residencies who've offered really tasty food. Prince you are having a laugh you cannot serve that level of bad . Sort it out .

Nice roast, had better but it was good and it’s a nice pub. We had the beef which has no pink in it but was perfectly edible. The chicken was well cooked. The roast potatoes are lovely although the veg could be better done overall it was a nice meal for a Sunday roast and wouldn’t rule out as a local having it again.

We have visited this lovely local pub for some Sunday Lunch. The service at the bar was genuine and attentive. The staff was very friendly but my oh my, the prices have turned into a sore mess. £7.5 for a pint was a stretch too far given what it takes to make beer and given is served in a pub in zone 3. Small breweries will keep your punters away, as they charge whatever they want for a keg. Saying this, the food prices listed outside were lower than the ones inside, and the government mistakes are being paid by us all with such price hike. What a shame! We were hungry, so we had the Pork Belly. There were great culinary intentions, however it lacked in flavour. The gravy was super watery and bland. The side of vegetables were ok, but we got only a few shreds of Savoy cabbage, and the pees were microwaved to extinction. The Yorkshire puddings were also bland. We asked for salt and peeper to bring the flavour forward. I am sure the chef would excel if he was to cook more Spanish food or give it a twist to the British food.

This is a proper beer pub so you should come here with the main purpose of enjoying the drink and then if there is anything that takes your fancy on the menu then this is of a secondary benefit. I have eaten lunch here on a couple of occasions but as a couple of previous reviewers have explained the food is provided by what can be best described as street food pop up vendors who tend to change and not have extensive menus. The couple of times I’ve tried them the food has been good but not what you would describe as standard pub fare. But the KSP of the Prince is it’s regular changing beer range, and in this respect the bar top supports six ale hand pumps positioned between two banks of five craft beer taps and then a further small tap wall with five taps for ciders on the bar back. For my most recent visit last month I had the pleasure of choosing between Burning Sky Plateau Pall Ale, Tapstone Brewing Hop Wire, Marble Brewery Pint, Two By Two Brewery Strata Talus Eleanor, Five Points Railway Porter and Wood Green Brewery Hopping City on the cask ale pumps. And those more inclined to modern craft ales could choose between offerings from Howling Hops, Two Tribes, Vibrant Forest, Twisted Wheel, Two By Two, Goodness and the fairy local Bohem Brewery. Tried the Five Points Porter and the Wood Green brew ( well it would have been rude not to) and both were in good condition. And if you stick to the wet stuff the service levels have always been good in my experience.

Very good pub that pretty much single handedly got the middle class borderline alcoholics of Wood Green through lockdown with their milk carton takeaways spilling out on to any available patch of nearby grass. The owners should be given CBE’s. The Prince staunchly nails it’s colours to the craft beer mast and that is my only criticism as I can’t stand the stuff. For people who like that sort of thing this pub is manna from heaven but I love it so much I just go and drink a bottle of wine instead or order the one lager they serve. I give it five stars because it is everything a pub should be: a proper mix of all types, friendly and welcoming but most of all it is fun. The staff are happy and that rubs off on the customers. It is a great place for a big gathering (when they were allowed), drinking solo or romancing the mistress. They do a series of pop ups for the food which are mostly very good but if I were them I would stop messing about, get a quality head chef cooking proper good old fashioned British food and I reckon they would have the best pub on their hands.

I went to the Prince on Saturday 18th of January 2020 for a quick lunch. I got to the venue at 15:40 and I was told that the kitchen was closed but in 15 minutes I would have been able to order. Therefore I ordered a pint and some pistachios and waited. After 45 minutes and two more trips to the bar asking for info I was still unable to order. Nevertheless, on my way back to the table after my second trip the bar, I saw two tables being served (a later explanation provided was that they were late tables/ they just ordered chips... one of the two. The excuse I preferred to hear basically.) Once I confronted the waitress (who later introduced herself as being the manager), I was told the following: “Well, if you want you can order now or leave.” Don’t get me wrong, everyone working has the right to have a break and I do understand that there might be problems during the service. I am of this business too. What I do not accept was the attitude that employee had with me. This really got me gutted. As she could not care any less about me (the paying customer) at all. I spoke to another member of the staff while leaving (With no food ordered) and he at least had the decency to apologise on behalf his colleague/manager. I never felt so offended in a restaurant. The issue with the service is not the problem. The impoliteness of the server/manager is the issue. Despite being a good pub with good food e good drinks I will never coming back to this venue. If you value your money and good manners in general, just don’t go there.
