The Prince Arthur in Hart

We were seated for about 20 minutes before ordering our food via the app. Almost instantly after the food order had processed, we were told by a member of staff that dogs weren’t allowed in !! We came in through the side door and there’s no signs anywhere there saying no dogs. (Maybe we’d have seen one if we’d come through the front?) Our dog isn’t quiet either so how it took so long for a staff member to notice? Not on the ball.

Cheap drink and terrible food, the perfect mix

Standard Wetherspoons, standard beers and standard service. Good for a cheap pint and that means it’s always busy ! It is about time for a refresh internally but still great value.

Just your average spoons really, it can get quite crowded on weekends, but the drinks are cheap so that’s a plus.

The chicken wings are very nice!

People like to complain about Wetherspoons food: “It’s all microwaved rubbish” etc. but I have always found it to be very good especially for the low price. Huge menu choice and decent portion sizes (apart from the rather paltry side servings of chips!). Better quality and choice (and certainly value) than many upmarket pubs and restaurants. I recently had the naga chilli half chicken with spicy rice and a side of roasted vegetables and have no complaints at all (the chilli sauce could have been hotter but was nicely flavoured if mild). The breakfasts are good and the steaks and mixed grills are all freshly cooked and decent quality (apart from the very low meat content sausages - these are best avoided!). The inclusion of the calorie count on the menu is helpful and ordering direct to the table using the Wetherspoons app is simple and quick. Great value drinks with a huge range. The only downside is often the other pub clientele with all the local unemployed and unwashed drunks queueing up at 9am for their first pint of the day then hanging around stretching out their benefit payments until closing, and the rowdy 18 year-olds “pre-drinking”, spilling, shouting and vaping, packing the place on Friday and Saturday evenings before the clubs open.

Spent a few hours over the last few days in the Prince Arthur. Staff excellent and I really like the book shelves, usual food from Wetherspoons and a good selection of craft beers. Friendly place for all

Fast service, great value. What's not to like?

Good food. Beer and service. But one thing above most Weatherspoons ( and i must say lots of other establishments)clean fresh smelling toilet. Just wish it was closer to home.

Being a Friday night is was busy with lots of young folk ( forgive me I'm in my 50's) asked for two pints of San Mig, service was prompt, went outside and sat in the smoking section, which was absolutely packed, started to drink the beer, noticed a metallic taste and smell so I went back to the bar to tell the bar staff who just looked bemused.. Won't return...

Food is decent. Service is good. Pub full of people, loud and not very atmospheric.

The male toilets are absolutely disgusting. All but 1 female staff are on par but every one of the male staff have bad attitudes. I think the management need to look at this place. Wrong management team in place

Nice pub. Decent service. The food when we went was very small and quite uninspiring - however it was quite a busy day after the half marathon when we went, which may have contributed to the not so great food.

This is my favourite place to eat in Fleet and district. Great choice of dishes although I always go for Chicken Ticca Massara. Two of us had this delicious meal with tender meat and great sauce. I had mushy peas instead of rice and my wife had the same dish but with popadoms etc, our friend had an American burger which he enjoyed, washed down with a pint of Abbot Ale. My wife and I had J2O soft drinks, choosing the delicious apple and rasbery flavour The atmosphere and service here are always good. The price for three was a modest £21.50

Typical WS experience. Food and drinks arrived correctly when using the app. Didn't have to get up once. Chips weren't that warm but burger was hot. The triple cheese burger wasn't that big and chocolate cake was a reduced size from what it used to be. I'm afraid it's a case of prices gone up and Service & Quality has gone down. Beer selection isn't the best.

I have no gripe with the food but the staff...I've seen better behaved hyenas than the gen z reject that served me. After politely asking for a receipt which wasn't given to me at first. I asked again only for him to throw it at me and mutter. Such a disgraceful attitude.

Self service. Super delicious food at very reasonable prices. Cozy ambience in a quiet atmosphere. Drinks are also delicious and there is a lot to choose from. Parking is available nearby but for a fee.

Wetherspoons Had a vegetarian breakfast here and loved it. 2 Veg sausages (the best i've had anywhere, and I've tried a few), 2 fried eggs, 2 hash browns, 1 toast, beans, mushroom, tomato. Bottomless coffee, all for £6. Then went to the Tilly shilling (Farnborough Wetherspoons) at the weekend, same thing was on a deal £4.70, how do they even do that!!!

Great, no nonsense pub. Part of Wetherspoons. Very reasonable food and drinks prices. With main dishes often coming with a free drink. Broad selection of hand pumped beers and extensive menu. Easy to order via the app or at the bar. Service swift and friendly. Public pay and display car park just outside.

While driving through Fleet, we saw a "Spoons" and thought we'd just pop in for a bite to eat and a "Doom bar". Well, I have to say "The Prince Arthur" was an absolute pleasure to visit. The staff were very pleasant, food very good and the table was even clean... I thought "Service with a smile" was a thing of the past, but it was really nice to be proven wrong. We'll be in again soon.

Manager sandy was very clearly looking for any reason to kick me out the second I got in , felt very racially profiled the whole time, rest of the staff was very nice.

Manager was so obviously looking for a problem with my boyfriend as soon as he came in, asked him for ID despite not asking his white friends — when he came back with ID, he still was denied service. We, including others, felt he was very much racially profiled here by female manager, as he did nothing wrong and manager lied about him.

The Prince Arthur, Fleet, is a great local. Always 3 bar staff available, not only serving, but checking who is waiting. Other staff work tirelessly, clearing glasses, serving food and wiping down tables. A well managed pub where the staff all work together. Food is very good too.

Lunch at Prince Arthur Wetherspoons in Fleet High Street… very busy, lots of old people enjoying the low priced food & beverages. The bar staff were very sullen. No one seemed happy & no one smiled.. We ordered a pint of beer, a glass of wine, scampi & chips & a jacket potato with 5 bean chilli. Scampi wasn’t great. My 5 bean chilli & jacket potato however were very good. When someone cleared our plates away, I thanked her & told her my potato was very nice & she didn’t say thank you or acknowledge my comment, just looked at me like I was a crazy person. The bar itself was dirty - tables still had dirty plates & glasses on them 1/2 hour after customers had left. Not a very pleasant experience & certainly not a welcoming one. Cheap & not even cheerful.

Good food friendly atmosphere. Brilliant value for money on food and drinks.

Great breakfast and very cheap service with a smile. The pub is very clean and lots of people. If in fleet is a must with a great selection of beer and spirits and food that can fell you and save your pocket

Food ok as usual. Disabled toilet a disgrace. Excrement all over toilet bowl and under seat. Floors filthy . On crutches had to climb two flights of stairs. Ladies toilets stink. No locks on doors. Need complete renovation..

A fair price for a decent meal and drink

More of a traditional spoons this one with all the dark wood and seating that suggests and quite a walk from the station, partly uphill. The barmaid was fantastic- she seemed to be on her own so maybe the rest of the team were on break. She was cheerful and friendly and always smiling (again today). The pub is quite a long building leading out to a decent sized beer garden out the back. The Guinness was excellent

Made a quick put stop on the way home from Wales. Typical Wetherspoons, good solid grub, well kept pint. The place could do with a refurb, looks a little tired but couldn't fault the service.

As well as the regular beers, there is a few different beers each week, at a great price which you can try a small dram of before making your choice. Staff are friendly and attentive even though they are busy. Food is well priced, which while not gourmet, there is variety of choice. I like that there is No background music to shout over, but when busy it can be rather loud with the chatter.

How hard is it to have gluten free bread in such a large establishment?

This establishment is appalling to most other wetherspoons, the staff look depressed and have no customer skills what so ever, to the extent that they mostly just mill around the glass wash up area confirming with the miserable management weather they should do something or not! If you are looking for a friendly service and the odd smile then go somewhere else! The staff here are just rude.

Just what we needed for an unplanned layover! George was great!

I’ve worked in the pub trade for over 20 years and never experienced such poor service in all my years. 5 staff by the bar with one person serving, the other 4 were more interested in talking about their personal lives and ignoring customers waiting to be served. I felt sorry for the young lady running around doing everything whilst her colleagues felt it perfectly acceptable to do nothing. I’d advise her to move somewhere else where she’ll be appreciated and supported.

It’s your typical Wetherspoons pub, food and drink is good value for your money, service was fast enough, I visited twice now on both on a Saturday night and found a table available both times, staff were friendly and good atmosphere. Happy customer 👍

Great place for coffee morning catchups

Lively pub. It was fairly noisy for a Thursday evening, but the usual Werherspoon service which was good

Start by saying the breakfast was very good, hot and well presented, the pub itself though is filthy and in desperate need of a refurb, travelling back from Bournemouth used google maps to find a weatherspoons on travels this one seemed easy to stop at, great cheap parking out side £1 for 2 hrs. Went in wanted to sit in a booth on window they were disgusting every booths seating was filthy dirt all over and old food residue, decided to sit on a table with chairs had to move one of the chairs away from the better table I found as was covered in egg yolk. Area where you get your hot drink refills again needed looking after was very messy and untidy, the pub wasn’t busy either. Didn’t dare visit the toilets. Wouldn’t come back here again, some deep cleaning and refurb needs doing first.

Good beer and atmosphere and initially served well but told to move away from the bar as we looked around for a free table to sit. Don't have this problem in other Spooners

Rude staff and cold food. Service was not good at all. We asked the waitress if she could clear the table from the previous people. We had to ask her separately to wipe the table down and when she just wiped a portion of it, we had to ask her to wipe the whole table. There was a blob of chewing gum on the seat that my daughter sat in without realising, ruining a brand new coat and trousers. When we spoke to the Manager, she was rude and surly and didn't even offer an apology. Nor was anything done about the chewing gum. When the food arrived, it was cold. There was no point in complaining as the manager clearly couldn't care less about customer service.

The beer is cold and the food is hot, apart from some supply issues with certain brands of larger there's not much to complain about.

Ordered gammon got shop brought thin sliced ham. Egg was still raw and see through. No one cleaned our table. They forgot multiple things from order.

Normally great service. Last visit, being allowed to order things off the menu that weren't avaliable (rectified by a lovely member of staff though) replacement meals arriving with cold chips and missing elements of the meal and soup with no spoon, having to queue at the bar to get one!

It's a weathrspoons, beer cheap but good, didn't eat so can't comment on food. Very busy but got served relatively quickly. 200 mile trek to upstairs toilet as per all 'spoons

Good prices for spirits. Beer prices decent too. Food not actually that bad - chicken strips and chips a safe bet.

I had a satisfying Sunday lunch of fish and chips with a drink. As usual in the Wetherspoons, customers left with dirty tables. They seemed to have too limited staff to keep the tables clean. You must wipe and sit or sit and ask.

They do a great vindaloo on Thursdays

Popped in for lunch on a Thursday and had a burger with a beer. Great value and pleasant staff. The place was busy, considering the time but we found a table for 4 without too much trouble. Would come back when next passing.
