Good bar for a pint .Football on tvs. Bar staff pleasant and attentive. Will revist when I am back in Glasgow

Went in after work on a Wednesday and it was busy enough to have a good atmosphere. Excellent choice of beers and spirits. Lots of TVs with sports on and decent music too.

Friendly staff, well worth the visit

It's a cozy pub/bar in Glasgow with amazingly friendly staff. Claire was behind the bar while I was there, and she was wonderful. You could not ask for a better environment or staff. If you are in the area, stop by for a drink.

Nice pub with loads of comfy seating. The female toilets were not working which meant we had to use the men’s which were in awful condition.

Excellent pub with a great atmosphere. We were so lucky to be staying nearby so the bar was our local. We were always made to feel at home with the addition of great beer.

It's a bit overpriced for during the week. Music at background wasn't good either. Each to their own..Did enjoy the pint . but it is a place i will visit when in the area . As it's my last pit stop. The price for a pint has shot up. Within a month. Was in at Kilmarnock price for a pint is £3.25...just think there hummm...rather not take taxi hame v city centre. To b fair ..Just walk up like less than 10 mins

Cracking wee bar with the football on and a chill friendly atmosphere. The staff were really nice, the customers were all top notch, and the pints were very reasonable. What more do you need in a pub!

One of the best pints of Tennents Lager in Glasgow and Lanarkshire. Good for watching football

Went here for the first time recently on a Sunday afternoon with work. Really liked it. Great traditional wee pub tucked away in the Merchant City. I Didn't realise its history either till I did a bit of research. The pub was clean, tidy and served a decent pint. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Plenty of screens to watch the football. Definitely would go back here.

Sammie the bar maid had great customer service skills. Highly recommended.

This is a relaxed, old man’s type bar. Very nice if you want peace and quiet on a weekday afternoon. Tennents on tap for £3.70. Won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but I personally love it.

Met a pal here. We frequented in the 80s and 90s - when it was busy. We remembered the owners ( Leo, Desi and Gerry ) and good times. We were the only customers in the place Nice pint if Guinness though!

First n last time in. Seams a few ignore the signs. They also block front door as usual for a stinking puff. . So won't b bk n hence the 1 star. The sitting at bars are not allowed. But yet is overlooked here. I will now give it a one star as bar staff ant wearing a face covering

Friendly, welcome and rustic pub based in the city center of Glasgow. The pub has a variety of different lagers, ales and wheat beer. Unfortunately the pub doesn't have a kitchen, but they are more than happy for you to order food from Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Justeat. There are seats and booths inside where you can sit down and play some board games that they already have there. Furthermore, they have a lot of USB chargers dotted all over the place, that is great if you need to charge anything!

My first visit to this bar for several years. I arrived at a quiet time (7pm ish on Tuesday 27th August), and waited several minutes to be served. I was the only customer standing ready to be served at the bar. (There were only about 10 other customers inside at the time). The bar staff seemed more interested in tidying the bar, chatting to other customers, and fiddling with stuff. After several more minutes of trying to attract attention, and suspecting I was being ignored, I left and took my business elsewhere. Draw your own conclusions.

Lovely clean n tidy bar throughout. Nice staff and 35ml measures. Give the wine a miss though. Vastly overpriced and not even chilled.

Spirits are served in good quality glasses, they have phone charging ports in all the tables, the staff are nice, they allow dogs and you can order in food Suits me fine

Famous Glasgow pub, well worth visiting as an antidote to Merchant City's more 'soigne' places.

Visited with friends recently after a meal nearby. Had a great few hours in this pub. Spot on and pleasent staff. Will return again for sure.

My favourite pub in Glasgow. Not fancy by any means but has a bit of history from when it was in the centre of the newspaper and publishing district.

It's a shame that a historical pub like the press bar, the pic's on the wall of a very old Glasgow bar was let down by one member of staff who I found to b rude.

Good ole pub, near to the city centre and not with the normal city centre prices.

Nice small English pub, that you would expect. Not a lot of room and most of the seats are around a circular bar. Good price for a beer and a lot of locals.
