Had a lemon drizzle cake and sampled the house brewed ciders. Absolutely lovely! And really friendly staff too. Thank you Lauren and Laura for the lovely chat :) can’t wait to come in for a pizza next time!

The past few visits the service has been brilliant and the food delicious, whether it's lunch or dinner I've thoroughly enjoyed eating here.

A really nice place with a casual feel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and only too willing to help you choose one of their locally brewed beers. The pizzas are excellent and there is a lot of variety. Whilst you don’t need a reservation, I’d recommend making one as I’ve been here a few times now and it’s always packed.

I only had a glass of wine on this occasion, staff was friendly, a lovely clean bar with a nice big outside sitting area .

The pizzas are simply amazing, craft beers are delightful and the atmosphere is very inviting and cozy with all the paintings and murals. The staff are polite and quick. We've been going back many times now, we love it there. Definitely recommending the place, it's my favorite in Portishead and forest queen pizza is a must try!

Pizza was very good, good range of home brewed beer, various strengths and served in three different measures. Staff are friendly and not overbearing. Table by door can be a bit draughty. Recommend for beer and a snack .

Firstly the food was delicious. Freshly made and piping hot. But the service just added to the whole experience. The lovely lady who served us was so kind and took the time to speak to my sister about mum stuff which she really appreciated. The price point of the food was also really good.

Went inside no one said hello or greeted us. Sat outside for 10 mins, no service. Went inside the 5 staff on shift were chatting with each other and said there would be a wait for someone to come. Following that they served a table that had sat after us. Looks like a nice place but service doesn’t exist

This is a very nice bar and the food is very good. They serve delicious pizzas 🍕 My friend and I shared the camembert. It was delicious. We had a bottle of wine and a cocktail each. We chose the Espresso martini they are the best ones we have had. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Lovely little bar serving craft beers. Popped in for a cheeky half and we were given a very warm welcome and fantastic service. Give it a go if you’re in the area.

The Place for craft beer and pizza. The service is amazing and so is the quality of the food. We went there for brunch and tried the waffles, we liked it so much that we went back for dinner and had a wonderful craft beer board with gourmet pizza. Definitely recommend the place if you live or visit Portishead.

Great food and drinks, you could tell the food was freshly made especially the pizzas. Pizzas were sizzling hot and absolutely amazing. The service and workers were absolutely lovely and were extremely polite and kind. Going is an absolute must if you visit Portishead⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Port Bar is a top choice for a night out in Portishead with its range of craft beers and delicious pizzas. The food is amazing, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is absolutely amazing! But don’t think it’s just that! The brunch menu with all the croissants and mouth-watering Belgian waffles gave us a stunning start of the day! Keep going that way!

Love this place! Daytime visit … Coffee is delicious and cakes/pastries are divine. Lovely atmosphere too as great service and comfortable seating. I often eat in the evenings here too. They serve delicious pizzas and as a micro brewery their beer is fabulous. Can definitely recommend this place for anytime of day!

So glad to have discovered this gem with my husband, we enjoyed it so much we brought our family here at Christmas. They do excellent gluten free pizzas and a choice of gluten free beers. My husband informs me their normal beer is very good too (its a micro brewery) I've been too full to try their gluten free waffles, we will have to pop in another time for coffee and waffles!

Enjoyable drink and Tapas that we enjoyed. It was busy and they served us promptly on a busy Friday lunchtime Would recommend.

A lovely cosy place to eat and sample some of their craft beers. The pizzas are really nice. The staff very friendly and fast service. Luckily it was warm enough to sit outside still in October as it was very busy but the whole atmosphere was nice.

Very lovely and hospitable place. The staff are very smiley and pleasant and coffee was nice too. Clean premises and good location.

Went with my partner for a quick meal. The restaurant had a lovely, warm atmosphere and Laura, Lucy, and Hannah were all very bubbly and friendly. They also customised our pizza when we couldn't make our minds up so we got a half and half. The pizza was full of flavour and the saltiness was just right. Quality food and experience. Will defo be coming back again :)

My partner and I have just had the most wonderful, happy experience at The Port Bar, where the service (thanks, Laura and Lucy!) was personalised and generous, the iced coffees delicious and our half-and-half pizza a thing of beauty! The thoughtfulness and attentiveness to our needs were very much appreciated and added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Loved the look and feel of the place and we want to come back again soon! Who'd have thought it would be possible to solve the problem of which pizza to share by having one divided into two flavour combos! First class food and service.

Really disappointing takeaway tonight. I used to rave about this place, but their (takeaway) food has been on a slow, downward spiral for sometime now. I get the cost of ingredients has increased but it's now very evident that corners are being cut; the falafel salad is disappointingly small, the falafel was cold, a little soft and not freshly made like it used to be, there's no balsamic vinegar on the salad anymore, far fewer olives than you used to get, the salad leaves looked a couple of days old, etc. All the passion, care and attention that used to be put into their food is now gone. The pizza was delivered cold, not even lukewarm, which was disappointing and also with less topping than it used to have. And all of this for over 50% more than it used to cost less than 2 years ago. What a shame. I stopped going to the Italian across the road in favour of the Port Bar but will now start going back to them.

The woman serving looked like she didn't want to be in work.however the young girl collecting glasses was chatty and welcoming.we had stopped over for the night returning north from Cornwall.

Been here a few times now. Every time it's absolutely brilliant. The pizzas are so tasty and the beer goes down well.

Visited for the second time on Saturday, the food was very good. But i was disappointed with how little nduja was onto the Fire Starter pizza, and no Rocket either. The week before was much better, hopefully a one off.

Friendly staff, good food and atmosphere and the best chai latte I've had.

The food was great and really reasonably priced for a nice meal out. We shared a burrata salad and a pizza and it was perfect. They also allow dogs which is fab!

Pizzas are the best. Highly recommend the fire starter! Staff are all great, but shoutout to the one waitress who seems to be there every night. Always super kind and never misses a thing. We do feel sorry for her watching her run around though so could do with some more staff. Still we keep coming back as we are always well looked after, and you can't top the craft beer!

Heartily recommend. I was there a few times with friends and everything was amazing...the service was perfect, the food was delicious and the drinks were great. The first place in that country where even the toilet is clear enough. I will definitely be back.

I must recommend their Pizza's highly. They supplied 10 pizzas as a takeout for my family last night. Very quick service, delicious and fresh. The pizzas were out of this world. Full of flavour and cooked to perfection too. Lovely choice on the menu, a variety to see to everyone's choice and dietary requirements. Delicious! We will be back without question. My husband said he had not had a pizza as good as his, for many years. Praise indeed fro. A man that loves his food. We can't wait to return. Tha k you .

Best pizza in Portishead and the waffles are incredible!

Lovely place but lost its way. No longer some where to go to drink beer. You have to book a table and full of people drinking wine and eating pizza. Such a shame.

You really need to book a table On Thursday evening it was packed Lovely staff Great atmosphere Wonderful range of beers Oh did I mention the pizza? Well you have a great choice of classic combinations or the ability to build your own firestarter iceberg creation A great business success in bold competition with the generic pizza factory over the road.

My first time at The Port while visiting family nearby, thank you to the young red head lady who was very helpful, I am not a regular beer drinker but appreciated her taking the time to find something suitable for my palette! Looking forward to returning soon.

Came here last night (table booked at 5 o'clock) Absolutely loved it. Pizzas were amazing. Friendly staff. Prosecco was the best I have had out (I know my fizz!) Reason I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the fact we had to move tables as ours was booked for 7.30 then second table was booked for 8 so we had to leave and we probably would have stayed longer and ordered another bottle of prosecco. Having said this, it was made clear to us. Just prefer to leave when ready that's all. Great atmosphere, really buzzing.

Came here for a quick drink and snack after a long walk after Xmas. It is a lovely atmosphere and the service calm and friendly. We decided to have a flight of beers and some olives between us. The choice of IPAs and Pale Ales was great and we were given good advice on what to choose. The olives were okay to eat and the overall experience good enough for me to return and try some more nice beers.

Great vibe here..... really relaxed .... Great selection of drinks , even though they didn't have the other half's drink they made one similar which was actually better .... bravo

I cant fault the food or the drinks but when my 20 year old son had no ID with him even though we had ordered food he was not allowed to drink. So just for reference please see the govenerment website that says:- "However, if you’re 16 or 17 and accompanied by an adult, you can drink (but not buy) beer, wine or cider with a meal." So this really shouldnt have been an issue, understandable if he was alone but with both patents they were not following the law! Bit of a shame but nice meal down the high street instead.

Great service, beers and pizza. Only complaint is it was too busy to stay all night - make sure to get a booking during peak periods!

Update... Sea salt pizza was fab .. if you want the nachos without the nasty cheese just tell them....very friendly staff...beer awesome as always. I love the beer here..but the food... It's not great.. I have had pizza.!!..tried nachos.. disgusting..who puts liquid cheese on nachos..unless you are in Texas or at the cinema.. gross! Fair play they gave me a refund on the Nacho's! The description on the menu needs to be updated... Not right...not at all passable as decent Nacho's!

Not the best experience considering it came highly recommended. The staff on arrival were not interested pointed us to our table then left us to figure it out. Waited 10mins no service so we asked if we could be served. Pizza arrived looked good but after eating the first slice it was not good way too much cheese and very stodgy in the middle, the anchovies were so strong in smell that it was off putting and appeared to lack some quality. Overall all I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t rush back for pizza. Your staff do need to show some better front of house etiquette as at time some were boarding very rude !

Ira, The retirement group wanted to express our huge thanks to you and your fabulous staff for our visit last night. We had an excellent time - great atmosphere, great beer and pizzas. The service, for a party of our size, was superb. Your team managed the cooking and serving of our pizzas with speed and no fuss. Everyone ate and drank happily. I hope that you will allow us to book with you again for a similar number (30).

Lucky to have this gem in Portishead. Staff always helpful and super friendly, with great beer recommendations. Love the look of the place too- perfect to relax with a coffee and a waffle, or tuck into a yummy pizza. The food is always top quality and always happy to accommodate little changes. Big thanks to all the team working hard to make everyone feel welcome even when busy!

Rude staff. Been in a couple of times thinking I will give them benefit of doubt but on both occasions one particular staff member made some very rude comments that left me and my wife speeless. Shame as the food is good but regardless of how good your food is, poor customer service is something that puts me off coming back. Sorry but I won't be recommending based on my experiences. Hopefully their attitude changes.

Really disappointing- we had been recommended to go here and try the waffles - we parked at the lakeside gardens and walked to The Port - my mum is 82 and it was a good 10 minute walk so we thought we had given plenty of time - on the website it clearly says waffles served till 3:30pm - we got there just in time (or so we thought at 3:15) - we asked on going in if waffles were still being served and got advised that they were which was great news - we found a table and looked at the menu - my mum had chosen and couldn’t wait to have a waffle but we were then told that they had put all the waffle items away 5 minutes ago even though we had been told they were still serving them. At this time it was 3:19 so should have still been able to get them. My mum was so disappointed and as we are on holiday it’s not likely we will go again - don’t like giving a low review like this but just such a shame and disappointing, perhaps should think about changing your times on the website in future.

Good venue, but service is slow. Not having anywhere to enjoy an outside coffee with the option to have a smoke whilst chatting with friends is a big NO from me, I prefer a more Mediterranean relaxed and open format.

Lovely Al Fesco dining with an excellent pint of Battery Point. Even had entertainment laid on as Mendip Morris and Pigsty Hill Morris were performing in the precinct. :-)

So myself and my partner had food here this evening, this is just a review based on my experience. The food is absolutely spot on, however front of house and general management just seemed super poor. We ordered drinks and waited 20 minutes and in the end had to remind 2 individual members of staff about our drinks, once they arrived we ordered food which we expected a wait time but was surprised it wasn’t too long. After finishing my first slice of pizza our brownies had been delivered to the table…?? Not The worst problem but just added to the experience. And then we were left waiting for the bill for 25 minutes even after asking for it twice. All in all it wasn’t the worst place, food was great and highly recommend, the front of house was pretty shocking I have to admit. I don’t normally expect much but it would have been nice to have felt accommodated for.

Every time I've been here the service has been lovely. They have a great selection of beers and IPAs. They also have a some good vegan options to boot. Highly recommended.
