The Port Bar Portishead in North Somerset

The young short lady with black hair and piercings was very rude to me. I was trying to find out if their coffee was vegan, and was told to go away and find out. I was only standing at the bar! I was not in anyone's way whatsoever!

Matilda was a very friendly and efficient waitress. We had a excellent experience, we will definitely come again.

I love Port - they do great pizza, nice drinks and have a good atmosphere BUT they won't take an order over the phone. Way to go for the digitally excluded or people wanting to place an order whilst driving (on blue tooth of course). Super annoying and I think you can do better tbh.

My go-to every morning for a relaxing coffee. Lovely atmosphere, staff are very friendly and they serve the best coffee in Portishead. Have eaten a couple of times and again the same experience.

Quite often stop here for a coffee. Staff are super friendly. The pizzas are particularly nice here and they are happy to give you a box to take home any leftovers you might have.

Ordered a beer with a wine spritzer, asking the spritzer to be in a gin glass topped up with lemonade. We were charged £15.90. It arrived with a small amount of lemonade added. When we requested a little more lemonade it arrived topped up and we were approached by the manageress who stated we would have to pay an extra £2.80 which took the price to 18.70 for two drinks which I found disgraceful. I was a willing to pay the initial price but the extra cost was out of order and could have been swallowed by the management for gods sake. Needless to say I won't be revisiting this bar or recommending it till anyone.

Love their pizzas and waffles as well. Staff are very helpful, friendly and nice. Lauren helped a lot with her recommendations.Highly recommended for food and drinks!

We had a brilliant time when we visited the Port. Fab food and a really nice atmosphere on a Tuesday night. Lovely chat with the owner Yav, fantastic to hear about the brewery and story of everything. Will have to come back soon!

Normally fantastic 5* on every occasion however extremely poor on a busy Saturday evening. Toilet door broke whilst inside and was locked in for 15+ minutes with no apology whilst food sat going cold. Staff had to remove the bolts from the door to get me out. Over a 20 minute wait for drinks and told the table was needed for next reservation before we got our drinks. Heard at least 2 other tables with the same complaint. Would still recommend but hoping they improve their service on busy evenings.

Came for breakfast had a lovely Belgian waffle and salmon, really good coffee. Amazing service, really friendly staff we were served by Lauren. Nice atmosphere and outside seating

Good pizzas, nice home brewed beer and friendly staff. The only thing to mention, for my own personal taste, the pizza dough was a little bit too thin, would have preferred just a little thicker crust. Apart from that, great place for gather with friends for a few beers and pizza.

Popped into The Port Bar during a trip to Portishead as we wanted to have something mote substantial than a coffee and sandwich from Coffi Lab. We ordered a cheese and meat board to share which was lovely and presented beautifully. Customer Service was lacking as the board was presented to us with no cutlery and drinks came after the food. We had to request cutlery when the drinks eventually arrived. The waiter looked very flustered and nervous poor guy!

Lovely place to chill and relax inside or out. Great food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be making a regular thing.

We love it here. My wife is gluten and dairy free and this is one of the few places we can eat and drink great food where you can’t tell the difference! Service is always amazing!

Just had a lovely pizza with a great bogof offer and a couple of nice drinks. Finally the summer is here and we were able to sit outside. It's not a great view, but they make the best of what they have and their F&B offering is 1st class. 11/9 update, just been back for a free waffle, with a lovely glass of First Press Cider and Banana Language beer. All equally excellent.

Love this place lovely to bring my daughter for a treat before school starts. Both pizza and waffle were amazing!

Absolutely LOVE this place. Our family returns time after time for both food or drinks. The atmosphere flicks seamlessly to reflect a standard week day or a busy friday evening. Worth a visit if you haven't yet.

Had lovely lunch yesterday at the Port. We sat outside under the sun umbrellas and really enjoyed the sea salt pizza and the craft beer. We were very warmly welcomed by the team there and will definitely go back again.

Amazing pizzas - I had the sea salt, the combination of anchovies and porcini mushrooms is wild! I’m here with Lori who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the food and beer menu. She had the Billy Goat and loved it - again! The beers are superb! Get your arse in here!

Reasonably priced, rather uninspiring view of a kebab house, optician and budget shop from terrace. Local beers and cider to accompany our pizzas. Plenty of alternatives to pizza. Our hostess advised that it was better value that similar places.

I've been going to the Port since they've opened and it's just proceeded to get better and better. They offer a large variety beers with most of them being brewed on site as well as delicious pizza. They recently made 35 pizza's for my workplace and that was very well dealt with and the Pizzas travelled very well. This is a place to visit if you're in Portishead.

Our favourite spot in Portishead for a coffee or a beer or a pizza and sometimes all three. Pizzas are great, all fresh and made in the spot. Great food any time of day. Great choice of beers, brewed in house and a place that adds a holiday feel to Portishead, brightening up an otherwise down market shopping precinct. A friendly and welcoming alfresco jewel.
