Amazing Food, Amazing Friendly Service. The Sushi was beautiful and a wonderful atmosphere. So good to see this business restaurant busy on a Tuesday night.

If you've not been before, you need to come!! We've been here maybe 6 times (we come all the way from Castle Cary in South Somerset) and it's always worth it. The food is always incredible, it reminds me of my time living in Australia, where they have amazing sushi too! Will always come back here for sushi, because it's by far the best in the South West!

Brilliant little restaurant. Felt really authentic. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes. I had seafood yakisoba, and it was delicious. Speed was the only slight letdown, but everything else was top-notch. Spider roll as a side dish was lush. New photo from recent visit.

This was one of the best Japanese food I’ve had. The Tekka Don was particularly good, melting in my mouth. It will be my favourite place to eat in future.

Quite simply one of the best restaurants in Weston-super-Mare and the best (UK) sushi I've had outside of London. Kate, Omhar and their team provide a wonderful dining experience and a warm welcome.

The food tastes good, the price is a bit expensive, but it's acceptable. For the Japanese food here, it's pretty good.

My son and I dined here, the Salmon Maki and Spider Roll was delicious and in my opinion superior to Nobu. We spoke to the sushi master and all the staff were friendly and made the ambiance even better, also sampled the Saki which was very pleasant. We will definitely be coming back to sample more divine dishes.

This is the ONLY Japanese restaurant I've eaten in the country that has authentic Japanese food, made exquisitely and with class and taste. Sorry but other Japanese restaurants couldn't begin to compare to this outlet. You'll be leaving this establishment fulfilled. Try out their Katsudon and Sashimi. The best! Gambatte Sakura!

Best Japanese restaurant in The South West

Sakura is a must go restaurant. I go here reguarly for lunch as it never fails to impress me. Amazing fresh food, the lunch platters are filling and affordable and the sushi rolls are all full of flavour. Service is great and staff are very friendly and welcoming :)

I've been here a handful of times and every single time the food has been consistently delicious! My partner had the salmon teppanyaki which looked amazing. I had the dragon roll which was cooked and presented perfectly. Would highly recommend Sakura to anyone who is staying in Weston!!

Fresh sushi, made to order. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely be coming back here! Particularly recommend the black tiger prawn sashimi and the tuna thin rolls. Service was a little slow when we arrived but it’s a restaurant in demand so that was to be expected and the sushi was worth the wait! If you can get a booking, 100% go.

Top notch Japanese restaurant. I had some Tuna Sashimi, Scallops (particularly good) and Katsudon. The breaded pork for the Katsudon was rather meatier than I'm accustomed to, but that doesn't seem something one should complain about too loudly! Staff were very welcoming, and particularly willing to cater to my intolerance of chilli, providing a delicious (free) alternative tasting salad to start.

JUST GO!! We had the most incredible meal at Sakura. Could not fault a single thing. The food was out of this world. We ordered a range of different starters which were all to die for! We then ordered some mains which again were insanely good. The service was great and all the staff from chefs to front of house were so friendly and attentive. The price is extremely reasonable. We're so glad we've found this restaurant as it's local to us but l'd recommend booking in advance as it can get very busy at peak times. Will definitely be returning!!! :)

Lovely Japanese food and atmosphere! Beautifully decorated inside. Sushi was really good quality, and the salmon donburi bowl was delicious 10/10 (would definitely recommend for any salmon sushi lovers). Duck spring rolls had actual slices of duck meat, as opposed to the minced version, and they were amazing. The pork Tonkatsu was the only disappointment, it was okay, a little dry. We also have an allergy to molluscs and crustaceans, which we told the staff about, and had no issues with cross contamination, which is always a slight worry at a Japanese restaurant. Would also advise booking in advance, we were there on a Thursday night and seemed really busy. Overall, it definitely hits that sushi craving! 10/10 🍣🥟

Been going here for years, birthdays, special occasions you name it we go to Sakura for it. The food is great. However I called up at 6:30pm on Wednesday to book a table for 7pm the next day and the lady I spoke to said they were booked but that they had availability at the sushi bar for that time which I could book, which I agreed to and confirmed 7pm tomorrow at the sushi bar which she said yes to. Having just got back from attempting to attend this booking I was told that there was no such booking and that I must not have tried booking, I then showed the member of staff the phone call log showing the time that I rang at (which she was adamant that I show to prove I wasn’t lying) she then turned around and said phone call was only 55 seconds long and that wasn’t long enough to be able to make a booking. So after being called a liar twice, and after many good visits, I will not be attending here again, don’t think it’s acceptable to treat any customer like this let alone one that visits every other month or so. Shame but after the way it was put so rudely to me that I couldn’t have booked and I must be making it up, I won’t go back.

Exceptional food at a great price. The service is also brilliant. Breaded tuna starter was £7.50. Duck sushi was £7 Seafood noodles was £12.50. Not the biggest restaurant, so I would recommend booking in advance.

What a delightful restaurant, lovely relaxing atmosphere, waitresses were kind, patient and extremely helpful. The food was divine, so fresh, served steaming hot, presented beautifully and just incredible, this chef is top top class. We left the restaurant full to the brim and very satisfied, and the prices didn't break the bank either. Amazing fresh, big portions for a extremely reasonable price. Our first experience of Sakura, book for a family member birthday and the staff made this evening one he will remember. Perfect 👌 Thank you all for the most wonderful evening.

Very tasty and fresh, the portions are good and the sushis were one of the best I've ever tried. The decoration and the plates were typically japanese! However, it took them 45 min to bring the noodles we ordered ... we were quite hungry and a bit disappointed to have to wait all that time when others who came way after us got their order.

The food is amazing. Unfortunately couldn't sit at restaurant as had my pup with us but the owner/ manager was lovely enough to let us do take away order while there and boy was the sushi worth the wait and the round trip. Totally recommend

Finally find a authentic Japanese food in uk . Sushi made with Japanese chef , it’s so good . The sashimi is so fresh with reasonable price, highly recommended. Must try the sashimi and spicy tune don.

Visited for my birthday and it's the best sushi we've had, the chef even gave us a few taster of something he was working on. Never had scallops before as sushi and they are now a favourite! 🤤 Total was around £90 for two with wine and sake and multiple dishes, more than we would normally spend but we feel it was worth it as a treat. I'll certainly go again as a if I'm back in the area.

Everthing from start to finish was great. The food still tasty and good value. Service spot on, even when it was quiet the atmosphere and back ground music were relaxing and in context to the restuarant.

The food was so good! The restaurant was busy with only 2 servers, so we knew things were not going to be rushed. But they took our orders & it came out piping hot, & it was clearly freshly made. It all tasted amazing 👏🏼 we got starters, mains & desserts, & we were there for over 2 hours. It was delightful!

Went here last August whilst on holiday with my daughter. It's a nice place to eat, nice food. Only thing that let it down was thecservice was a bit slow. Also, the choice of desserts was very limited and rather bland.

Visited on a Wednesday. 7.30. The restaurant was full and the food was amazing. The service however was mediocre. We had to ask for everything the entire evening, more drinks, dessert menus, extra cutlery etc. The worst bit about the experience was the temperature. It was FREEZING cold in the restaurant to the point we were sat with coats on from start to finish. We weren’t even sat close to a door / windows. I would visit again, maybe in the summer!

An absolute pleasure to eat here. Everything we tried was beautiful and tasty. The scallops starter was melt in your mouth deliciousness. The mains were presented so well and also tasted yummy. Very reasonably priced! The team working there were all lovely. Highly recommend booking in advance.

Busy on a Friday lunch time Excellent food

Honestly my favourite restaurant. There is nowhere else that I go to anywhere near as regular as sakura. The food is amazing, I'd recommend going for lunch and having a lunch platter, large variety and always tasty and filling. Staff are all lovely, always going the extra mile and have all been very kind to me. Will be a life long customer! Can get fairly busy, but booking a table through their Facebook account is always easy

Our favourite restaurant in Weston: we’ve been coming here for years and can’t recommend it enough. The staff are wonderful and the menu offers many delicious options, our favourites include the spicy rock shrimp, miso aubergine, salmon teriyaki and more: just so many lovely things to choose from. Very good value for money and a lovely place that we are so lucky to have in Weston.

Nice place with amazing decoration which makes you feel like if you were in Japan. Chicken katsu was outstanding and the best one I ever had. Salmon nigiri were good and hosomaki were spot on. Homemade mango cheesecake for dessert. One of the best meal experiences you can have in Weston.

BEST sushi I’ve ever tried in England. Everything is fairly priced and definitely very worth it for the quality. Especially recommend the spicy salmon don which tastes delightful with tiny bits of spiciness and with toasted sesame oil added in which smelled great. The sashimi were fresh. The rolls felt authentic without excessive sauces. Recommend booking beforehand since it got full quickly. Definitely hope to visit again one day!

Every visit is a pleasure, been going for many years and the food is incredible. A must visit in western, and worth the hour drive it takes us to get there! Crispy squid and dragon rolls are my personal favourites. Staff are friendly and attentive. 10/10

We’ve not only had a great meal in Sakura restaurant last night, but I’ve also been treated to a surprise bday cheer from the staff and a complimentary mini cake to celebrate the occasion! The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and quick to respond. We’ve been a few times now and can’t thank them enough for their continued high standards.

I got the Chicken Thigh starter, it was soo good. The Mrs got the Aubergine... I don't like Aubergine, UNTIL NOW. ORDER. THE. AUBERGINE. STARTER. It was like a silky sweet delight, I don't know what voodoo magic they used, but next time I'm ordering two of those and no mains 😅

Exceptional food. Some of the best my wife and I have ever eaten and she worked in Japanese food for a long time. She always picks what we eat and everything was excellent, all the sushi was sublime. The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was great - really fun and full on a sunny Friday evening. Thank you Sakura - worth a visit to Weston just for this restaurant. 🌸🌸🌸

I had a great time at Sakura, I went with 3 other people lovely restaurant with lovely staff. They let you know when they'll be closed and they're menu on Facebook, averagely priced between £9 and £15 for a main just matter what you choose, would love some more unagi dishes but I can't hate. Lovely place and when their a birthday they sing and play a song out of the speakers which is really nice, I would recommend this to a friend. It may just be me but the broth on the ramen didn't have too much flavour but the sushi was 10/10

This is one of the finest restaurants around. Japanese food at its best. Recommended to book as they are always busy, they don’t have lots of tables as they concentrate on serving the very best quality food. I can’t recommend this place enough, it’s truly an outstanding place to eat.
