It was one of the best meat feast pizzas I've ever had. Definitely top 5. My wife had the tuna melt. Honestly, you need to eat here. We had the victoria sponge for afters. Stuffed! It's not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for. 10 stars easy

I really struggle with eating, and don't ever enjoy my food. I ate here today and the staff were so accommodating, understanding and lovely. The food was genuinely really tasty, clean, fresh and well prepared. I actually enjoyed eating vegetables, which is an unheard occurrence. The atmosphere was really chill and the waiter service was also flawless. The prices are really good considering the quality of the food. I am going to go back to try and expose myself to more foods. Thank you Pod people. ;)

Such a unique cafe experience. They use locally sourced produce, truly minimise food waste and take on a conscious and ethical approach to their food. The cafe has a unique story - ask the staff about it. They serve up a set menu (mains, dessert, drinks) for a few days each week. It is priced very well and they serve up top quality food. Please not, this is a first come first serve place, so get in quick. This cafe and the staff are true gems! Don't miss out!

Found this little café by accident while driving through Coventry, and it was a great experience! Very tasty lentil nut roast main, and the home made rocky road and apple + dates cake were delicious. The atmosphere is great, too bad we are living far away, otherwise it would be the perfect place to spend some quiet hours having a coffee and slice of cake and reading a book. Definitely recommended!

Heard about this place by word of mouth, went today for lunch, beautiful plant based food in a friendly setting. The Pod has limited opening so check on FB before going, you will find the day's menu on FB, today there was a choice of two main courses. The Pod offers exceptional value.

Lovely stop for vegan locally grown produce. Coffee and a brownie for me and a chat with the friendly staff. The building dates from 1500's and I sat next to this Victorian? fireplace.

The people here are so warm and friendly, making for a very comfortable, relaxed experience. The energy that makes "The Pod" truly "The Pod" is echoed throughout such a gorgeous interior! From the furniture to the crockery, every detail has been careful thought about and works so well together - it's such a unique vibe and so amazingly different. Every time I've been to The Pod the meals have always been delicious, and warming yet refreshing - a lovely combination. We visited last week and the Italian summer stue with lemon and garlic orzo was divine - as was the lemon cake that followed. The soul and community truly comes through the place, The Pod is always a great place to stop and I'd thoroughly recommend to anyone.

It was fantastic to get back to the Pod after so long. We received a warm welcome and everything was very covid-secure. Our lunch of roasted cauliflower and black bean curry followed by cardamon cake/sponge cake (one of each, so we could taste both!) accompanied by iced chai, was absolutely scrumptious. Much of the food at this cafe is grown at a local allotment which means that it's both fresh and delicious. It was so lovely to be able to return. Thank you!

It was so great to be back at The Pod Cafe after all this time and I was definitely not disappointed! Had a delicious lunch of mushroom ragu and creamy polenta with a side of marinated eggplant and tomato. The food was so tasty and followed by a scrumptious slice of victoria sponge cake. Yum! One very happy vegan :) Loved the new lunch set up of a set meal, drink and cake for £8 - such good value for money and worked really well with the timings and my lunch break from work. Having said that the card machine wasn't working and they were so kind to let me have the meal for free not wanting to disappoint customers. Such are the lovely people at The Pod. I was very happy to contribute to their pay it forward scheme in return, providing meals to people in need in Coventry. Thank you for such a lovely experience, I will be back soon!

A regular visitor and fan of the Pod I was delighted to be able to get back this week. What a welcome return. A Mediterranean Stew served with a generous slice of warm herby focacia was delicious, rich and filling. A slice of carrot cake with cinnamon and a little hazelnut crumbled on the top was properly indulgent. All accompanied with a bottle of homemade lemon and thyme lemonade, perfect for the Mediterranean vibes. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great tunes, great ethos (much of the veg is grown by the pod but that's only 10% of the story) I could go on but I reckon you get the picture... Get yourself booked in for a midweek lunch, even if you don't like the food, the whole thing is only going to cost you about £7... Honestly it's ridiculously good value!

It was so good to be back at this lovely café after so long. The Mediterranean stew was so tasty and the homemade lemonade was a nice touch, everything tastes so fresh every time. Andy served us and had a chat with us before we left, everyone is so friendly in there and you can tell they were glad to be back as well. Sadly for them their card machine broke so they kindly allowed us a free lunch! We'll be sure to pay them back next time, can't wait to visit again. Thanks!

We had a delicious lunch of Mediterranean stew with focaccoa and carrot cake for dessert. The homemade lemonade was refreshing. Their card machine was down and ended up having a free Lunch! The guys working there were so friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this establishment.

I've been going to this wonderful cafe for years and am never disappointed with the food or drink!! Such an amazing vegan cafe with incredibly affordable food and drink with locally sourced ingredients. Can't recommend enough!

Really great food, nice atmosphere

Went to the recent reopening as a long-time fan of The Pod. The food is always different, and always inspired. Service is genuinely warm, as the pricing is humble and inclusive. The restrictions for COVID were very clear and easy to follow, and we felt very at ease during the lunch. The Menu is carefully selected, guided by dieticians, and for Vegan food out, hands down the best balanced meal one can get in Coventry, possibly even the Midlands, in my experience. There's no judgement or vegan propaganda whatsoever, and carnivores, pescatarians etc will not feel shortchanged in the slightest by the offerings. The Pod as an establishment is also a great hub for creatives and creative-thinkers, with echoes of cultural flourishings such as Time Union, Food Union, Supper Clubs, and other events. It remains welcoming to newcomers and tourists, and the serving system is relaxed and straight-forward with options for Gluten Free and clear indications for Nut Allergies. I would highly recommend anyone eating out in Coventry to try The Pod at least once!

The vegetables were perfectly cooked which is the minimum requirement for a vegan cafe you would think. But your visit to the Pod will inspire and fire a desire to higher the entire standard to which you aspire. And I ain't no liar!

This was my first lunch out in 2021 with a friend. The service was friendly and my anxiety about being somewhere other than my home in over a year soon disappeared. The food though is the real star - gorgeous clean food - with some produce grown at their allotment site in Coventry. Cardamom cake for pudding was a delight. Cannot wait to be back. Thanks all.

the most amazing place in all of Coventry, with a calming atmosphere that never fails to brighten my day. healthy, reasonably priced food made from seasonal ingredients that always tastes amazing. plus, the Pod organisation itself is doing some great things in the city and has been for a while now. i go here pretty much weekly whenever i can and can’t recommend this place enough!

I’m not vegetarian but the food here is so wonderful, the staff so devoted and the selection perfect I try to get at least one other to come along for lunch so we can choose all 3 dishes on the menu and there has not been one single thing I would not change about the food. The ambience is so calm and relaxing and a short walk from the city. Amazing everything

I normally find something to complain about with a vegan full english but this was perfect. A homemade hot pepper sauce accompanied the dish and was also equally amazing.

Travelled all the way from the north and parked up in Fargo village area looking for a place to lunch. Unbelievably came across this little vegan restaurant that produces home made meals cakes and drinks with soy, coconut, almond milks Had the courgette pea n mint soup super delicious and tasty my friend had the lentil curry which according to her was satisfyingly delicious After that had the banana cake and a chocolate cake to finish off. This food was simple but a 5* restaurant could not have satisfied us any better Please can you guys move north!!!

I love it here and make sure I go if I take a day off work. I love that the menu isn't hugely extensive but is creative and inspiring and perfect for someone like me who takes several days to make her mind up on food. I am not vegan or veggie (sorry) but am trying to eat more conscientiously and this place certainly doesn't disappoint and makes you realise just how tasty plants are! It has a lovely calm ambience and the staff are lovely and helpful and welcoming. The food is so reasonably priced too and beautifully presented. I wish I worked in town or near to Far Gosford Street so that I could visit more often!

I love this place for its support of the community, getting locally sourced veggies and it is a hub for people to gather to share ideas with books and quotes on the chalkboard to feed your mind as well as your body. After lots of recommendations eventually went for brunch. It was really delicious! Lovely simple surroundings, lots of interesting reads, very helpful staff. Had a very interesting conversation with the manager about the the Pod...........what a fantastic concept. Well done....... we will return.

Food is great uses all own allotment vegetables, snakes and coffee are even better. Nice surroundings and comfortable seating to relax and enjoy your food. Unusual selections of milk for coffee, dairy, coconut, soya, oat milk, they all taste different worthwhile trying them out.

I was pleasantly surprised upon my first visit to The Pod to find a place in Coventry which serves different and quality food at such reasonable prices. I have now been 4 times and have genuinely loved each meal including the breakfast bowl.

Finally visited the Pod Cafe after wanting to go for a while now. I went along with my mum who has also been wanting to try the Pod Cafe.

We went here for lunch today for the first time. We had the special, mushroom and leek pie, and then a slice of Victoria sponge. All vegan. All delicious. And such good value - £3 for mains and £1.50 for cake. We’ll definitely go again.

I had the very good fortune of attending a supper club at The Pod, and found every course to be something quite remarkable. Fresh, zesty and delicious with the best custard that I have ever tasted. I had to dig around in the mini bottle it was served in to get it all out! Apart from the supper club, I have found the daily menu to be inspired, healthy and layered with flavours, not to mention incredible value (each dish is only £3). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and on more than one occasion there has been live music. A real cultural hub! What is not to like?

My daughter lives near here and discovered this bijou cafe and what a find!!!! Spotless and in thecyp and coming Fargo village area, beautiful listed buildings and a community focussed enterprise...vegetarian/vegan...we are meat eaters but love to try vegetarian where possible and local sourced ingredients!!! Very reasonable price, great dishes and cutlery and knowledgeable staff...well worth a visit

I have wanted to visit the Pod Café for ages, and as we were in Coventry for the day, and visiting Fargo Village, I persuaded my wife that it was the place for lunch. I so wanted to like the place, and it all looked so promising, but sadly the food just didn't match the anticipation.

I visit The Pod café every week with friends, for both the amazing freshly cooked vegan food & the great atmosphere. The Pod also run Time Union & Food Union which are open to all with a Coventry connection & are great to be involved in. XoXoX

Delicious locally sourced food in their amazing new location on Far Gosford St. We had two Pod bowls (pictured), one Chaat wrap, three coffees and three cakes for a total of £18. I can't think of anywhere in the country where I've seen this quality for these prices. Friendly service on their busy first day. Keep up the good work guys, we'll definitely be back!

I last reviewed the pod when it resided in lamb street on the outskirts of the city centre. It’s now relocated to the increasingly fashionable far gosford street area and occupies a beautifully restored half timbered building. Same chef, same food and a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the tasting evening to mark reopening. Food was sublime and I’d urge pod management to regularly open in the evenings at weekends as the new venue perfectly complements the vibe of this cultural area. Very highly recommended vegan food.

We visited before they moved and are yet to check out the new improved Pod Cafe but the food was lovely and the people super friendly and welcoming. Will be seeing you soon!

So this is a cafe in an office building so you will need to sign in to gain access, but oh it's so worth it. I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian but the food is superb. Everything is homemade with quality ingredients and prepared with passion. Yes it's incredibly cheap too, but don't for a minute think this reflects in the food or the quality of the cooking.

Incredible food at a very reasonable price. And I'm seriously fussy about my food. If you think vegan food is all lettuce & lentils, then you're in for a big tasty surprise! Of course lettuce & lentils may make an appearance, along with all the other wonderful foods the plant world has to offer. Even if you're not vegan give it a go!

Came here yesterday for Afternoon Tea. A really tasty little spread for £3. Pots of tea are 50p each. Excellent value and all homemade on site. Best of all it is all vegan!

The food is fresh and seasonal. They see what food they have in and make the menu up on the day. I had a three bean chilli with rice. This was my first time at The Pod. The staff are so welcoming, you feel so relaxed. The food is so good. I will now be attending again very soon.

The Pod Cafe is by far the best place to eat in Coventry. The menu is well thought out, seasonal and executed perfectly. You can tell the chefs have a real passion for cooking through their well presented, well researched traditional dishes from all over the world. If you are looking for great vegan food with dessert and a drink for under a fiver this is the place! 10/10

I have had lunch from here a few times and ever single time i have been so happy with the outcome! Such great food, so flavorsome and the presentation is great too! You wouldn't even tell that it's vegan! Super cheap too.

This place is hidden away inside a building where you might not expect to find it. Don't be put off though...keep going...sign into the building...and head to the cafe. It's more of a restaurant really - the dishes are pretty imaginative. But, the prices are pretty low. Cups of tea are only 50p and the mains are all £3 (or £4 with polenta fries) when I went. Everything is vegan so the food will suit all dietary needs (unless you have an allergy possibly). I have had many meals of a poorer quality at far, far more prestigious venues - and they weren't afraid to ask for several times the price than they do at The Pod.

Genuinely delicious food at an amazing price in a special place. I took two friends the other day, one stated that she didn't like beetroot and the other said that she'd only ever eaten curry one and didn't like spicy food - well, the both polished off beetroot curry and were raving about how tasty it had been.

This is my favourite place to come out to eat in Coventry. The couple that run the cafe are so friendly and nice and the food they make is so tasty! With few vegan options around, I'm so happy the food here is so cheap and also so delicious. I would come here everyday if I was a millionaire. We always order way too much but finish it all because it's so good!! Would recommend to anyone!

Second time visiting. I had a wonderful mushroom filo pie! Best vegan meal I've had out, with a great portion size. Value for money is unbeatable! Not a varied menu, I often go with fussy eaters and end up being the only one to find something to eat.
