Good pub with reasonably priced beers, a couple of pool tables and a nice beer garden

Great friendly place, all staff all friendly, Megan, has a great personality and sense of humour, I wish I could give her 6 stars

I order an order, they got confused and asked us to pay for the second order when it was the same order, total mediocrity from the bar staff, please hire competitive staff, it's a Shame that the experience is injured by the lack of common sense of the staff. Totally a Shame!

We didn't eat here, went in for 1 drink, stayed for more as my other half was playing pool with others which we got talking too. Really friendly customers and bar staff.

I do not visit here often, but when I do, a good time is afoot😁. We arrived just B4 15:00 17/03/24 (St. Patrick's day) & stayed until 00:00. Great meeting Marcus (new to SS area), Jo♥️ (Yoga master) & Rose (Teach me Springbok), John (bad ankles but still boogieing on down) Shazza & Kirsty (Sisters) big shouts to you all👋🤚👋👍. I think most customers didn't want it to end, I know I certainly didn't! Great traditional Irish Band🎻on after 3pm who played a marathon set of over 2 & 1/2hrs. Shortly after the band the Irish dancers entered the dance floor area👯‍♀️, great to see the little ones having a go too, they were obviously well rehearsed😊. Next up at 8pm a live 4 piece band "The Long Run" came on, They rocked! After they finished (10pm) DJ took over and saw us all through to the finish line at midnight, spinning a handful of Soul classics, Irish toons to mention some of the genres played. I was throwing myself around the dance floor like someone had hidden my sedative medication 😂 I eventually threw the coat off after working up a sweat🥵✌️but I still kept the flat cap☺️. Special mention goes to the bar staff whom, under immense volume of customers demanding 🍻🥃🍷service, (they were rushed of their feet for long periods) persevered and got through it dealing with some of us grumpy customers who had been waiting nearly 1/2 hour for a drink order to be taken and served. All in all, we had a very good time, thoroughly enjoyed and looking forward to visiting again but much sooner and not leaving it so long until the next time, I think the Long Run are going to be back next month (April '24). Good show Plough, keep it up👏😁

Went with some friends, sat in there for 10 minutes while we caught up. A woman came over and rudely asked if we were going to buy a drink and kept stating that we cant just sit there. She was so rude we decided to just leave. Will not be going back. Bad atmosphere, not even entirely sure she worked there.

We watch live bands at this great venue and always come away having had a terrific time. Spacious throughout with lovely bar staff and good selection of alcoholic beverages, including a good selection of cocktails from their own cocktail bar. Never used the restaurant area, but this again is spacious and food looks great. Also has a large beer garden. We always enjoy coming to this venue as the alround atmosphere is terrific.

We visited this pub for lunch. I ordered it and the price of the beer wasn't written on it, but the receipt shows it's selling between 5.8 and 6 pounds each But I received 330ml bottle beer and glass, and the glass was too dirty to use. And looking around, seeing everyone else outside of us drinking draft beer. Of course, we may have ordered wrong, but we can't order items that aren't even on the menu.

Rebecca hosts a great quiz! Had so much fun, we had just come in for a few drinks and pool and realised there was a quiz on, so glad we joined in! Didn’t matter that we were late! Definitely come along!

The Plough has recently taken over the live music from the Cricketers on Sunday afternoon. I have very much enjoyed the bands and the very friendly atmosphere of the pub.

I visit the Plough often when I'm in the UK, the atmosphere is pretty good, especially on a weekend. Drinks are very well priced. Free pool Mondays 👍 Quiz night Wednesdays 👍 staff and service is second to none, Rebecca = best bar person in town 😉

Lovely pub. Always great to see a familiar face when you walk up to the bar. Rebecca can brighten anyone's day with her beautiful smile. The pub is a great place to have a beer and meet friends.

If, like me, it's been a while since you were last in the Plough, I would recommend a return visit. There is such a great atmosphere, lovely people, a gorgeous new beer garden, two brand new pool tables and regular entertainment. The bar staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, extra shout out to Rebecca and Holly for being fabulous! I've given the food 5 stars based on how good it looks and smells, I am 100% eating here next Wednesday at Rebecca's quiz. If you aren't already a regular, make this the place you visit next!

when I arrived the lovely woman behind the bar Megan was very welcoming and polite, she was quick with her service and we had a good conversation. I had spilt my drink a little however she assured that it was completely fine. I am definitely coming back again !!!

I didn't really expect good customer service and for sure that was delivered quite effortlessly by the very unethusiastic bar tender . For a second I thought I had offended the young lady by just being there. There was dog poo outside as well by the lunch tables where we were seated having drinks and for sure we ( as in four of us ) WILL NEVER BE BACK !!!

Nice, spacious pub with great, friendly bar staff. Lots of seating and 2 pool tables. Clean toilets, various slot machines and many TV screens - so I would imagine all sport is played (when live on TV). I noticed a staging area - so live music, dj's - are also probably available. Reasonably priced drinks and bar snacks available. Look, it's a great place to go out and meet friends - with a proper 'pub' ambiance (so, I'd say its not really a place for a romantic, intimate 'date'). Oh, and I do not recall a 'smoking area' so, customers smoke outside the front. 😭 NO CARPARK 😭 and it's located on a VERY busy, main road. You will have to park on that main road (in its first available parking space), then walk to entrance *Free parking on this main road after 6pm*. Bonus point... there is a 24:7 Off License opposite - so if you ever need cigarettes or more booze for an afterparty, this is an added bonus!!!!! Pool Teams available to join/practise with... so just ask if you're interested in playing.

It's not the most buzzing of atmospheres, but staff are all pleasant & helpful. Toilets are very clean. Relatively quiet in there, so it's the ideal pub if you just want to enjoy your drink reading a newspaper or chatting with a friend. It's my local, so will go there again.

Am sporty so I went to check this place out for live sports, drinks and chill. It was awesome! Gud atmosphere and viby...there was a live band actually settin up for the nite...

No air, no openable windows, loud and in a not great area. Staff were lovely just a shame about the pub.

I normally come here on a Wednesday for the games evening that runs out back by different people. The staff are always very friendly there.

I go here every Wednesday. Really good value for money on drinks and bar snacks. They have the best crisps! I haven't tried the food on offer.

The food was actually quite good, a very nice surprise. Favours were better 3some of the better London restaurants.

Staff were lovely, Food was basic, but cheap as chips.we had Sunday roast. A great Singer as well.

With the Plough being our local, my partner and I often come down for a couple, but last night tried the food! It was outstanding, proper pub grub, decently presented and couldnt fault it! Good sized portions and incredibly friendly and accomodating chefs! 10/10 for the service, as always 🙂.

Been there before and had drink with friends good cheap beer and good lady behind bar very friendly and good customer service but very disappointed with the service on Monday the 28th September and walked out after checking in being seated and waiting for more than 20 minutes where the man behind the bar never came to ask what we would like and kept disappearing outside and back of bar too. Also I witnessed another customer who arrived before we did walk out too shortly before us. We then went to the trading rooms and had a far better service by staff and a way better experience. Wont be using the pub if that man is there again.

Very loud mouthed & unkind people in there, wasn't a very nice place to take residents.

A bit soulless... But you can reach a Wizards Unite fortress from the darts area ... Useful in cold / wet weather.
